Thank you to everyone for bearing with the disruptions caused by weather conditions. Overall the quality was good & I was pleased with the standard of movement but clean straight fronts are hard to find.

MPD (3)

1 Jenkins’ Badgerbeck Bobby Owl, good overall balance, flat rib, ribbed well back, good level topline, typical otter head, strong teeth & broad muzzle, moved & showed like a show veteran;

2 Matthews’ Rhozzum King Pin, more of a baby than 1 but just needs time to mature. Built along the right lines, lovely topline maintained on the move, very pleasing head & expression;

3 Moore’s Rhozzum Mercury at Bramblequest.

PD (5,2a)

1 B Bobby Owl;

2 Davis’ Hesslemere Hi Karate, immature as yet, but showing plenty of promise. Nice size, racy with good reach of neck & well angled hindquarters, well presented;

3 Cobbledick’s Laurelton Moonlight Cowboy.

JD (5)

1 Guvercin’s Glebeheath Johnny The One, striking young dog who was a pleasure to go over, in tip-top condition & obviously fit without being over muscled, good harsh jacket & loose pelt, lovely conformation with clean straight front, flat rib & good reach of neck, typical head & keen expression with good dark eye, super movement with drive from behind, topline maintained on the move. More than happy to set him on his way to gaining his title. CC;

2 Johnson & Williams’ Quarryway Dill, pleasing type of correct size, easily spanned, flat rib & ribbed well back, not overdone in any way, exceptionally harsh coat, pleasing head & expression, moved & showed well;

3 Baird’s Dowgri Daredevil.

GD (5,1)

1 Morgan’s Badgerbeck Festive Spirit at Blewecourt, built along the right lines, nice size, just the right amount of bone, typical otter head, broad muzzle & strong teeth, pleasing, keen expression, moved with drive from behind;

2 Crockett’s Badgerbeck prestige at Melincoed, nice type & well put together but up to size. Typical head & expression, good reach of neck, moved well;

3 Evans’ Jenabeck Cie Coch of Nogard.

PGD (7,2)

1 Wallace’s Hobholt Harrier, lovely dog of just the right size, absolutely balanced with nothing overdone, very sound to go over with flat rib & clean straight front, in top condition & as fit as a fiddle, typical head & expression, best mover of the day, fantastic topline, maintained beautifully on the move. RCC;

2 Waldron’s Duke Of William at Intack, nice style of dog, balanced with strong Border head, good overall conformation, moved & showed well; 3 Spencer’s Caznray Double Trouble.

LD (10,1)

1 Axford & Irving’s Dandyhow Dumb Waiter, stylish dog, good conformation, just the right amount of bone, flat rib & easily spanned, good level topline & reach of neck, good head & expression;

2 Hand’s Lutrabeck Likewise, very typical with pleasing head & expression, broad skull & strong muzzle, built along the right lines with clean straight front, good lay back of shoulder & reach of neck, good hind angulation, moved well;

OD (12,1)

1 Lee’s Ch Tythrop Tapas, awarded this dog a RCC aged 11 months last time I judged & he has rightly gained his title since then. One I like very much, but he just didn’t seem in the mood so lost out on top honours. Lovely balance & just the right size, flat rib, good reach of neck & strong hindquarters, beautiful otter head & keen expression with dark eye;

2 Sneddon’s Kersfell Comet, nice dog, built along lovely racy lines with clean, straight front, striking dark grizzle but not in good jacket. Excellent on the move, topline well maintained, typical head & expression;

3 Reeves’ Baywillow Racing Blue.

MPB (6)

1 Horner’s Stineval Stella, an absolute sweetie this one, very attractive & feminine with good head & expression, lovely topline, moved really well;

2 Stockley’s Rhozzum Keynote with Foxfactor, another nice puppy, good reach of neck, level topline maintained on the move, in top condition with good harsh coat & loose pelt;

3 Sharp’s Rhozzum Moonbeam.

PB (8,2)

1 Hibberd’s Speck Of Gold Dust at Biddestone, very stylish & feminine, excellent size & balance, flat rib & good topline, typical head & expression, she looks as keen as mustard, striking red colour with beautiful coat in wonderful condition, moved & showed well. BP;

2 Tutin’s Riseburn Roulette, nice youngster with excellent clean front & sound conformation, pleasing head & expression, good dark eye. Coat not at its best;
