MPD (1)

1 Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Colour Code, very happy little boy, lovely shape with good head & nice dark eye, correct coat & undercoat, moved well.

JD (2)

1 Templeton’s Larchlea Time To Entertain at Stanedykes, lovely gr/br dog with super head & expression, nice strong jaw with excellent teeth, good length of neck into correct shoulders, correct topline & tailset. The ground was more interesting when he was on the move, but he moved well when he settled down;

2 Berrecloth’s Sybster Screenplay.

YD (3)

This was a difficult class. All three dogs were good quality.

1 Pollock’s Larchlea Licence To Thrill at Stanedykes, r/br dog with good head, nice dark eye & correct expression, very good front. At first I thought he was a little short on coat but on the table I found that it was very close & lying flat with a good undercoat. Exactly how a Cairn’s coat should be, good showman & mover, I liked him very much;

2 Smith’s Strathview Country Squire, very nice young dog with a good head, correct topline & tailset, correct shoulders, moved & showed well;

3 Smith’s Rocasovale Razzle Dazzle.

PGD (2)

1 Short’s Glenchess All In The Stars, well balanced wheaten/br with good head, correct topline, showed well;

2 Lynch’s Fieldron Call My Bluff at Linacrelads, wheaten with good coat, didn’t seem to be enjoying himself.

LD (4)

The best class of the day, all four dogs were top quality & it was a pleasure to go over them.

1 Grainger’s Devil In Disquise, I gave him the RCC out of Junior in 2006 & he has lived up to all his potential. He has a head that makes your heart melt, level topline which he keeps on the move, correct tailset & good reach of neck into excellent shoulders, moved with such drive from the rear, showed well & I had no hesitation in handing him top honours. CC & BOB;

2 Cameron’s Stryveling Robb Ruadh, there was nothing between 2 & 3 but 3 just lost interest in showing at the critical time. Lovely dog, red with that much desired black mask & ears, excellent coat, good topline & tailset. RCC;

3 Stephinson’s Twohoots Barnabas.

OD (1)

1 Percy’s Winetta Jimmy, gr/br with excellent coat, good reach of neck into correct shoulders moved & showed well.

MPB (2,1a)

1 Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Jazz Hands, lovely little girl, litter sister to MPD, very inquisitive, investigating everything, just how a Cairn should be, very feminine head with correct dark eye, lovely teeth with correct bite, super coat, moved very well when she settled, I loved her & will watch her career with interest. BP.

JB (5,2)

1 Shaw’s Honeyhall Hide N Seek, very feminine bitch with a very mischievous expression, lovely head, excellent double coat, good topline & tailset held on the move, I liked her very much. RCC;

2 Confue’s Anjofra Me Me Me, very nice bitch & the above remarks apply. I just preferred the movement of 1;

3 Wren’s Larchlea Light My Fire.

YB (3,1)

1 Munday’s Birselaw Firebird of Stradivarius, wheaten with a lovely dark mask & ears, correct double coat, good shoulders, correct topline & tailset, good teeth & bite in strong jaw;

2 Smith’s Strathview Country Grace, r/br in excellent coat, nice length of neck. Preferred movement of 1.

LB (1)

1 Berrecloth’s Sybster Spring Into Summer, gr/br, a little short on coat but hiding nothing. Excellent showgirl with good head, good length of neck into correct shoulders, correct topline & tailset.

OB (6,2)

1 Templeton’s Ch Larchlea Knot To Be Mist, very feminine dark gr/br, well balanced with everything correct & in the right place, lovely strong jaw with good big strong teeth in correct bite, head to die for with that wicked Cairn expression, great showgirl & moved well, I have admired her from the ringside & she lived up to my expectations on the table. CC;

2 Smook-Van-Koolbergen’s Dutch/Lux Ch Birselaw Emma, wheaten/br with good topline & tailset, good double coat;

3 Short’s Glenchess Golden Wings.
