Cairn Terriers

I would like to thank the exhibitors for braving the very muddy conditions, the grass in the ring made it difficult to assess movement, some showed & moved better than others. Some exhibits were short in upper arm, & light in bone. Also some overweight.

VD (1)

1 Wall’s Ch Shearwater Cae de Sonhas, in excellent condition for 10 years of age, still moves very well.

MPD (2)

1 Downie & Tate’s Jaeva Face The Music, pleasing head, straight front, nice length of neck, level topline with correct tailset, at 8 months he is still developing, has excellent showmanship;

2 Harland’s Cannwood Zipper at Thackeston, same age as 1 but bigger all round, nice head, good coat.
Not the confidence of 1.

PD (3)

1 Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Colour Code, quality cream, lovely head, eye & ears, lovely teeth. Still requires more furnishings. Very good legs & feet, level topline, good rear angulation, moved & showed well, close decision for BP;

2 Marshall’s Strathgarten Crackerjack, pleasing red, attractive head & expression, level topline. Short of coat today. Showed OK when settled;

3 Percy’s Landbuck Colour Scheme.

JD (2)

1 Templeton’s Larchlea Time To Entertain, quality grey, beautiful head, small ears, well defined stop, lovely big teeth with correct bite, level topline, good forehand, nice bone & substance, moved & showed well. RCC & son of CC winner;

2 Newton’s Strathinver Such A Star, r/b, a very good moving dog with well sprung ribs, strong muscular quarters, harsh coat, showed well.

PGD (2)

1 Pollock’s Larchlea Licence To Thrill at Stanedykes, quality well balanced r/br, masculine head, big teeth, good bone & substance, has a lot of energy. Coat on the blow. Moved & showed well;

2 Mara’s Tanteazle Tailor Cut, dark brindle, pleasing head, level topline, good quarters, well sprung ribs, bigger than 1, has new coat coming through which is difficult to trim with the texture being very wiry but well handled.

LD (3,1)

1 Short’s Glenchess All In The Stars, well balanced with pleasing head, level back, good bend of stifle, nice depth of brisket, well developed quarters, showed well;

2 Burgin’s Nutshki Dark Knight for Noncom, dark brindle. Not the head & expression of 1. Good overall balance & substance showed well.

OD (3,1)

1 Catto’s Ch Birselaw Daydream Believer, quality wheaten with an excellent head, lovely pigmentation around eyes, well defined stop with nice width between correctly placed ears, overall balance & size correct for the Standard, in best correct length of coat, moved & showed well. CC & BOB;

2 Percy’s Winnetta Jimmy Mack, quality dark brindle, very masculine head, well furnished, level topline, good bone, nice front legs & feet, rear angulation well muscled. Short of body coat.

MPB (4)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Button It, promising light red, very nice head & expression, liked her overall balance, lovely legs & feet, moved well fore & aft, full of confidence;
