Scottish Terriers

I was replacement judge for Mr Cadogan. One observation is the lack of brisket in many of the exhibits.

PD (3,1a)

1 Eteo’s Glenmiar Whisky Mac at Jancliff, good type, long head, dark eye, good mouth, well placed shoulders, good front, enough body & sound. Needs time as you would expect;

2 Aiken’s Slievecroob McGregor, smaller brindle, good outline, balanced head, dark eye, well placed shoulders, enough rib, short coupled, well set tail. Erratic on the move.

1 Falconer’s Scarista Sirius, very stylish black of correct type, quality head, nice eye & expression, very good front, deep rib & short coupled, used himself to advantage. RCC;

2 Luig’s Millingford Northern Star, black of good type, clean head, good front, well sprung deep rib, longer coupled than 1.

PGD (4)

1 Kenny’s Millingford Northern Rock, young dog of correct type, quality head, dark eye, neat well used ears, correct mouth, true front, level topline, well set tail, good quarters, moved soundly & gave a good account of himself, correct textured coat. CC, BOB & G3;

2 Milburn-Gates’ Diddling Dan with Liroda, wheaten who did not make the most of himself. Long balanced head, dark eye. Slightly straight in shoulder carrying a heavy body. Good textured coat;

3 Horton’s Penjetta Post Modern.

1 Annan’s Lomondview Scrumpy Jack, black, pleasing outline, clean head, dark eye, level topline. He needs more time to fill out all through;

2 Mahmoudi’s Brio Quizzical, substantial black of correct type, long head, well placed ears, good run in of neck, well sprung ribs, deep rib, well set tail, coat of good texture;

3 Clements’ Tamsin Wilderman of De Montfort.

OD (8,3)

1 Maidment’s Berrybreeze Jubilation, black with a lot of substance perhaps carrying too much weight. Long head, nice eye & expression, level topline, well set tail, showed well;

2 Aiken’s Ir/Int Ch Lomondview Bagpipe at Slievecroob, short, gassy dog, balanced head, neat ear, level topline, deep ribs, well set tail;

3 Luig’s Ger Ch Flash Of Genius vom Schwarzen Joker.

PB (8,1)

1 Gaskell’s Mayson Carousel, very promising pup, she has the personality to go with her construction, clean head, dark eye, correct mouth, very good front, level topline, pleasing rib, well set tail, in lovely coat & condition, uses herself beautifully;

2 Boyce’s Trakside Fairytale, well constructed but not as mature as 1. Lovely front assembly, clean head & good ribs;

3 Mills’ Sweetgarret Bonny Blossom of Blackthorpe.

JB (3,1)

1 Aiken’s Lomondview Christabella at Slievecroob, two similar bitches, 1 had the better showmanship, clean head, neat ear, lovely ribs, moved out well;

2 Annan’s Lomondview Aurora, handy size, quality head, good topline. Did not move out as well as 1.

PGB (3,1)

1 Corney’s Rilynson Island Princess, well balanced brindle, clean head, very good front, deep ribs. Lacks bend of stifle which affects her topline;

2 Handy’s Long Awaited of Magandthan, pleasing type, quality head, true front, well sprung ribs. Did not have the enthusiasm of 1.

LB (4)

1 Coley’s Jusouth Just Florence at Kingsview, unexaggerated black of correct type, very well balanced, lovely front, has substance & quality. Have seen her put more into her showing;

2 Mahmoudi’s Brio Inquizitive, touch bigger than 1 & showed really well, deep well ribbed body;

3 Corney’s Rilynson Island Princess.

OB (4,1)

1 Miller’s Ch Brio Exquizite, clean headed brindle of sound construction, neat ears, well placed shoulders, good bone, well sprung ribs, plenty of substance. CC. In the challenge for BOB the dog maintained his outline on the move;

2 Annan’s Lomondview Clementina, gassy brindle, clean outline. Not in such a tight coat as 1. Shows herself to advantage;

3 Aiken’s Ir Ch Lomondview Nekia at Slievecroob.
