Judge Jenny Miller (Feorlig)

Lovely entry of well presented and handled Skyes. Some dogs unfortunately going down the line or cardless due to the quality. Temperaments well excellent, coats and physical condition very good. Just need to watch weight. Nice to hear the sporting applause for the winning dogs.

PUPPY DOG 2 Entries.

1) HARRISONS’ KNOWLESPRING JAILHOUSE ROC FOR TRENSON 9 months presented well in a super textured cream with black points coat growing well. A nice youngster a new one to me and what a lovely surprise. Super strength to his head and foreface, good eye colour and mouth. Well placed and use of ears with fringes coming. Strong slightly arched neck, good shoulder placement. Firm level topline for his length which is certainly long with oval ribs well back with short loin. Good tail set although is inclined to carry it a little too gaily. Good front angles would like more depth and width of chest but this will come. Well angulated hindquarters with powerful sound driving action. Has a lovely side profile I have just one worry that he may grow on to be too big, but on the day was my Best puppy. Heard that he also won the Puppy dog stakes. Hope he has a long and bright future.

2) PARKERS’ GLORFINDEL BASIL BRUSH who would think a dog would live up to his name this young dog certainly has the character of his name sake and acts as mad as he does, really giving his owner a hard time. Has a nice outline once he stood still, lovely masculine head not the strength of foreface of my winner. Super dark eyes good use of ears with ear fringes coming. Good grey coat and veiling coming. Good neck and shoulders, firm topline fraction shorter in back and not length back of ribs. Well bodied and with good front and rear angulation. Well boned legs and feet well placed. Once he settled proved to be sound.

1) GALLONDEAN MOONLITE SHADOW I have seen this young male grow up and he has finally settled into himself. Lovely masculine head of strength with good foreface, uses ears well which are fringed, dark expressive eyes. Strong jaw and good dentition. Neck of length, well laid shoulders into a firm backline held and carried well with good length, his outline on the move is spoilt by his tail which seems only to be gaily carried inside the ring. Nice depth at front, short legs well boned, strong feet well positioned, strong angulated rear quarters. Good muscular body, correct weight, deep long ribs. Well presented and textured dark coat of good length. Sound positive mover with good side stride...

2) LYNCHS’ KENMILL TRI FRAXINUS This is a striking dog all male, he has improved with his owners handling and maturity, superbly conditioned coat with lovely texture and so well presented. Super masculine head well constructed, good ear carriage and fringed, kind dark eyes well veiled. Strong neck well placed shoulders. Firm level topline, good length of back well ribbed, short well boned legs and strong feet well positioned. Today carrying a little too much weight but this may be due to his castration. Very sound free mover covers the ground well.

3) HAWKES AND MASONS’ MARIDALE BLUEYS BEACH another nice male developing well, super head piece and moved out well, super coat texture needs to settle.

A really nice class of different types

1) WOODHEADS’ KNOWLESPRING SUNDAY BEST Very nice picture of strength and masculinity with good proportions, nicely presented and in good texture light silver jacket. Super head of good strength, nice ear carriage, dark expressive eyes. Head carried well on long crested neck set well into lay of shoulders. Firm long back, well moulded croup and good tail set. Good depth of chest with good body well shaped rib and ribbed back with short loin. Short well boned legs, strong well rounded feet, nice hindquarters, good hocks. Very full on character really trying his handlers patience but once he settled moved really well with a free sound positive stride. RCC

2) McLEANS’ GLORFINDEL ROB ROY ShCM beautifully presented male with a glamorous full cream coat with impressive black points. Today although he looked smart on the move he put nothing into his stride, sound both ends. Lovely head piece good veiling and super carried ears. Looked a little stuffy and short in neck and not the lay of shoulder, level topline shorter in back than 1. Nice front assembly and hind quarters. Well bodied and ribbed, strong boned legs and feet.

3) KENDRICKS’ JERARO RHAPSODY IN BLUE an old favourite who can really cover the ground with a good sound and free stride just not looking masculine enough today against other 2 and lacking his full coat.

A nice class

1) MARSHALLS’ CH THE BLACK TOUCH OF MORNINGSKY AT GLORFINDEL (imp) This dog over the past couple of years has really developed into himself, although not a small dog he is really masculine and is well balanced into his 3 Ls. Strong well constructed head and jaw, kind dark eyes, correct ear placement and well fringed. Super veiling and coat texture with good undercoat and the presentation of his black jacket is excellent. Good length and crest to neck well laid shoulder, firm level and long topline to good croup and nice tail set. Deep bodied well ribbed and ribbed back with short loin, straight enough, well boned front legs strong feet, nice rear quarters. Today played his owner up, but then settled and showed how he can move with positive sound stride. CC and BOB. Looked stunning in the group.

2) BREEZES’ CH GUMSHOE A TOUCH OF FROST BY SALENA a smaller very handsome, elegant male slighter built dog than 1 with not quite the length and today lacking a little in weight to finish the picture. His outline is striking and he is so well handled and his coat presentation, texture and condition are second to none. Well developed head lacking slightly in strength but his lovely veiling and beautiful ear carriage and fringes make a stunning picture. Super crested neck with length into well laid shoulders, hard topline not quite as level as 1, falling away at the croup to well carried tail. Enough rib, of good length to short loin. More depth of chest would give tighter front, legs well boned, and strong round feet. Well developed and muscled hindquarters, moves well with good side stride and sound.

3) BARRACLOUGHS’ CH SKYEOTTS MIDNIGHT MAJESTY AT WEMOWAY a handsome black male with dropped ears giving a different but expressive look to his masculine head. Beautiful coat texture, condition and presentation. Today he seemed little tired and dropped his topline both on the stance and move.

PUPPY BITCH 2 entries 1 abs

1) WHITES’ KNOWLESPRING YOU’RE NICKED BY GUMSHOE very nice Cream bitch developing nicely, at present has the 3 required Ls and has time on her side to fulfil promise. Nice head piece, and ear set, good eye shape and colour with expression, powerful jaw and teeth!!! Little reserved in temperament on the table. Good depth of chest, short well boned legs and correct foot shape. Well bodied and ribbed, covered in a well presented coat of good texture. Moved freely with good action once settled.

NOVICE 2 ENTRIES

1) DOWNES’ JERARO S’WONDERFUL OF TSUKI headed a class of 2 very smart young bitches. Lovely head with work, correct eye shape and colour and ear set. Good crest to her long neck leading into a level topline of good length carried well on the move and the stance. Well ribbed back, with a deep chest and body. Well muscled with good angulation both ends. Well textured grey coat now in excellent condition and well presented. Moved out well.

2) NOLANS’ GLORFINDEL ROISIN DUBH another nice grey bitch with a lot of promise, just needs a little better handling to get the best from her. Nice strength to her head foreface slightly longer than my winner. Head carried well on a crested neck. Would like more length of back, tail, set and carried a little too high. Enough front angles with some depth, good legs and feet, strong hindquarters. Well presented grey coat, moved out well once settled.

POST GRADUATE BITCH 6 ENTRIES

1) BREEZES’ SALENA SECRET PASSION she had the passion for me today, this young bitch looked stunning across the ring although she must not be stretched too far. Lovely to go over and handle on the table. She has the 3 Ls for me and with maturity will go onto win well. Lovely strength of head and jaw, correct eye colour, well positioned and used ears with fringes. Head well veiled and carried, strong well arched neck, body covered in flat light grey coat of excellent texture, good undercoat and length for her age so well presented and handled. Good angulations, depth and strength to short well boned legs. Really free moving with good side stride and sound. CC.

2) TURNBULLS’ ROYAL WIRENTH a new one to me and lovely to go over with a very happy attitude. Pretty head with strength, nice eyes and ears well coated. Slightly taller than 1 with a level topline of length with good tail set. Good deep chest and body, not the strength or leg development. Good foot shape. Well presented coat of good length with undercoat in lovely presentation. Very free and happy mover who was sound.

3) HAWKES’ MARIDALE BELLA FIORE a bitch I have admired from across the ring but today put nothing into her movement and was all over the place. Good strength of head well coated not the front of my winners.

LIMIT BITCH 2 ENTRIES.

1) CURTIS’ TSUKI SOLARSTAR OF BRAKEMILL, a very eye catching bitch from inside and outside the ring. She is a bitch I have loved and hated, for sometimes when over handled she does some funny things with her topline, but today all went well and she looked a picture both on the stance and the move. Lovely strong but feminine head well developed with super veiling and large well fringed ears. Good eye colour and strong teeth and jaw. Enough neck well crested, she is shorter in back than the CC winner and this is one of the reasons she lost the overall top spot. Well bodied and ribbed. Good front and rear angles, strong well boned legs slightly out at elbow, feet to the front. Super cream coat of good texture and flat. RCC

2) EVANS’ PERFECT PRINCESS a very attractive bitch in her well condition and textured grey coat. Has a pretty well developed head just lacking in foreface, nice ear carriage well fringed. Enough neck to good shoulders. Well bodied with depth under a very firm level topline of good length, good front angles would like more behind although is well muscled. Well handled and presented a sound positive mover.

OPEN BITCH 5 ENTRIES 1 ABS

1) WOODHEADS’ KNOWLESPRING SHE KNOWS I do hope she gets her tickets because she really is a delightful bitch to look at across the ring has all the essentials of long low and level when handled. She must know that she has a mind of her own as she is such an awkward bitch, because she looks so good then decides to do her own thing and goes to pieces on the move. Feminine head piece would like a slightly stronger jaw, good ear placement, kind eyes. Strong arched neck well placed shoulders and a firm level topline over a well ribbed back and developed body. Well presented harsh cream coat with dark points. Good angles front and rear, short strong legs and feet. Once she moves she is sound, but pulls out and short strides putting no effort in, such a pity.

2) BRYDENS’ CH ACHEO BIDEY IN a top winning bitch presented in immaculate harsh black jacket with lovely head veiling. Strong head piece with beautifully fringed ears well carried dark expressive eyes. Good strong arched neck, well placed shoulders, good width and depth of chest, well angulated front and hindquarters with good muscle tone. Taller bitch than 1 and not quite the length of back. Topline carried firm on the move but was inclined to dip on the stance. Short well boned legs not so well assembled as 1. Today moved freely with good stride and was sound. Well handled.

3) BARRASS’ CH GALLONDEAN CHARLIES ANGEL another bitch I have liked before, today was so well presented, carrying a little weight and this showed in her topline on the stance and move.
