SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE MIDLAND COUNTIES 08

Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers

A pleasing entry with the bitches outweighing the dogs for overall quality. Coats & movement varied & I found one or two long heads.

PD (4,1a)

1 Mason’s Emalot Tommy Tango, 10 months & maturing nicely, balanced head skull to foreface, good mouth, excellent pigmentation, correct angulation, firm topline & correct tailset, coat of good colour & texture. Just needs more wave. Moved quite well;

2 Clarke’s Loofasha Scaramouche, only young & obviously not so mature. Pleasing head, nice eye & mouth, good neck & front, short back, nice rear angulation, desired tailset, moved well. Just needs time;

3 Cooper’s Merriwell Midnite Magic.

JD (1)

1 Noble’s Pippajam One And Only, short coupled dog, correctly proportioned skull, nice eye & mouth, good pigmentation, firm topline. Tail could be sent a bit higher, coat a bit woolly, moved a bit close behind & pinned in front.

PGD (6,2)

1 Lloyd’s Kazeen Bright Delight, lovely coloured soft coat, good head, nice eye & mouth, excellent front & rear angulation, firm topline & nice tailset, good mover;

2 House & Lampkin’s Glendowan Going For Gold, pleasing dog, good mover, nice head, eye & mouth, firm topline & good tailset. Coat not so soft as 1, very much in between. Liked his overall construction;

3 Webster’s Kazeen Too Bright To Bovver.

LD (4)

1 Morrey’s Tobamorrey Ain’t I A Tyke, balanced dog, pleasing head, short coupled, good front, good pigmentation, soft coat, well presented, moved well;

2 Cross’ Starcadia Willow Pickwick, smaller dog but much to like. Nice head, good pigmentation. A bit short in leg. Good topline & tail, nice coat though a bit pale. Moved well;

3 Dowdy’s Denzilly Black Velvet.

OD (10) Best class of males.

1 Rogers’ Kizzahla Pompey Royale, mature dog, super balanced head, correct eye & mouth, neat ears, good front, excellent topline & tail, lovely rear hocks, pleasing coat, moved very well to take the CC. Beautifully constructed. Believe this makes him up;

2 Barrett’s Loofahsa Teenage Dirtbag, slightly smaller but he has a lovely coat of good colour. Pleasing head, good front & firm topline, correct tail, good rear, neat hocks, very balanced all through, moved well. RCC:

3 Herbert’s Ch Caidantes That’s Ma Boy.

PB (7)

1 Howes’ Daisymaes Arrabella, what a star, wish she was mine. Lovely size, best of pretty heads, correct eye, mouth & pigmentation, super front, firm topline & nice tailset, good shoulders & neat rear, good coat of pleasing texture & colour for age, best mover here. BP;

2 Hammond & Evans’ Calvenacre Toppa Totty, only 7 months & quite a star, prettiest head, lovely eye, mouth & ears, excellent topline & tail, best colour in the class with nice soft texture, showed & moved well for one so young, one for the future;

3 Bristow’s Kellynack Viva La Passione for Avard.

JB (2,1)

1 Paterson’s Kellynack Viva La Luna, not placed in last class. Quite pleasing in head. Not the balance in height to length of the others. Pleasing coat, moved quite well here.

PGB (12,1)

1 Boak’s Bacanti Busy Bee, very pretty bitch of ideal size, beautiful feminine head of correct proportions, lovely mouth, the best of teeth, nice angulation, excellent topline & tail, super coat of good colour & texture, moved the best in this good class;

2 Barrett’s Denzilly Truly Scrumptious at Saffini, pretty young lady, pleasing head planes, good neck & front, firm topline, nice tailset, neat hocks, coat of good colour & texture, moved well;

3 Dowdy’s Starcadia Luna Sea.

LB (13,1)

Lovely class.

1 Boak’s Bacanti Ballintubber, half sister to last class winner & very similar in all departments. Pretty well balanced head, nice bite, lovely teeth, excellent topline & tailset, short coupled, well angulated, moved very well, coat of good texture & colour;

2 Challoner’s Manyara Bean Mhi, one I have liked before, soundly constructed, pretty head, short firm back, good angulation both ends, correct tailset, neat hocks, moved well, pleasing soft coat;

3 Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Blonde Isabelle.

OB (9)

1 Noble’s Pippajam Gold Leaf, lovely bitch of super colour & excellent soft coat, just my type, ultra feminine head, lovely eye, mouth & ears, good pigmentation, short back, nice angulation, correct tail, neat hocks, lovely mover. Pleased to award her third CC & BOB. Delighted she was shortlisted in the group;

2 Howes’ Ch Emalot English Rose, a bitch I have admired from the ringside & she did not disappoint. Very similar to winner with all the same excellent properties. Not quite coat texture of 1 but see she passed her many good points on to her daughter. RCC;

3 Munn’s Ch/Ir Ch Snowmeadow Jellybean Jilly.
