Judge Ms S Baldwin

DCC RIVENDOWN RETURN OF THE KING (MR R SCORAH)
RDCC TOLPEDN FIRE LIGHT PRINCE (MRS C & MISS N & MR K MOORE & VICTOROVA & BOUNDEN)
BCC & BOB CH HONEYMIST TIME WILL TELL (MRS S DAVIES)
RBCC TOLPEDN HOT TOTTY (MRS C R MOORE)
BP BISBEE BLACK JACK AT JANSAMS (MRS R & MR V L CODLING & JONES)

Judge Ms S Baldwin

My first judging appointment with CCs. I was pleased to find few dogs today with poor rear angulation but was concerned to find a number with round ribs; this can to some extent be forgiven in a bitch which has had a litter, or is close to a season, but not in a dog. A couple of dogs had cracked pads & there were a couple with mouth faults. What a shame when a promising exhibit decides to misbehave & play his handler up, this could be excused in Puppy or Junior class but not with the grown-ups, sadly he had to pay the price.

PD (2,1a)

1 & BP, Codling & Jones’ Bisbee Black Jack at Jansams, almost 11 months blue, good coat colour. Needs to grow on, would prefer him more masculine.

JD (1)

1 McManus’ Bosom Friends Call Me Chrom, a good sized liver, good length of head, good eyes & ears, correct height to length ratio. Coat a little pale & soft but the colour is showing through. Moved freely for one so young.

PGD (2,1)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Blue Diamond, a smaller blue dog, eyes, ears & mouth OK, good rear angulation which showed on the move, keeping topline on the move. Carrying rather a lot of leg furnishings.

LD (8,1)

1 & RCC, Moore’s Victorova & Bounden’s Tolpedn Fire Light Prince, I didn’t recognise the handler of this dog & after awarding him the RCC I was pleased to discover that he was a dog which I had admired previously, a good sized blue, masculine head with good eyes & ears, well boned with correctly proportioned body, good legs & feet, good depth of brisket, well presented coat of good colour & texture, excellent tail carriage, moved freely from all angles;

2 Walshaw’s Janmark Alannora, a slightly larger blue, similar to 1 but just lacking the overall quality, coat rather soft. Moved OK;

3 Caines’ Burmington And Me Too.

OD (6)

1 & CC, Scorah & Wiles’ Rivendown Return Of The King, have judged this dog twice before & my opinion has not changed, a well presented masculine blue with a good head, dentition & ears, well proportioned body with good depth of brisket, good legs & feet, good forequarters & rear angulation which showed in his movement, drives from the rear. Tail carriage lost him BOB in the final challenge, pleased to have awarded him his third CC;

2 Davies’ Honeymist Miles High, slightly smaller blue good head, mouth, ears & eyes, well presented coat of good colour & texture, good depth of brisket, well proportioned body with good rear angulation. Lost topline in the final challenge for RCC;

3 Davies’ Honeymist Sunny.

PB (0).

JB (2,1)

1 Graham’s Ruffsfurze Mavrodaphne, correct sized blue bitch, good head, mouth & ears, good height to length ratio, coat colour & texture, depth of brisket, moved OK.

PGB (6)
Difficult class to judge as I liked the first four bitches very much, another day they could easily change places.

1 Scorah & Wiles’ Rivendown Bonnie Blue Bell, a lovely sized feminine blue, correct length to height ratio, good head, dentition, eyes, ears, front & feet, correct rear angulation which she showed off on the move, moved freely keeping topline;

2 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Sapphire, blue of correct size, very similar to 1 but playing up on the move today;

3 Walsh’s Lowbrook London Pride at Amurospa.

LB (5,1)

1 & RCC, Moore’s Tolpedn Hot Totty, a lovely sized blue, good head with length & strength, good mouth, eyes & ears, well proportioned body with correct length to height ratio, good depth of brisket, well presented, moved well;

2 Scorah & Wiles’ Rivendown Rohan Ash, lovely sized blue, litter sister to DCC winner, has many of his qualities but today a little round in the rib & not moving as well as I know she can;

3 Ames’ Mollora Frozen In Time at Sharnor.

OB (7,4) 1, CC & BOB, Davies’ Ch Honeymist Time Will Tell, lovely blue bitch, correct size with substance, well presented, very good head, mouth, eyes & ears, good forequarters & rear angulation, well proportioned body with good depth of brisket, good legs & feet, moved very well, continued to show well in the group ring;

2 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Heather, a lovely bitch, well proportioned liver, good head, mouth, eyes & ears. Not putting her all in which cost her the RCC;

3 Walshaw’s Ch Mollora Kristi Marie with Janmark.
