Some of the later classes were difficult to assess as the heat of the day affected some exhibits. Overall presentation was very good, although a number had flat backs & gay tails.

There were one or two with suspect mouths & dirty teeth, but I found no bad feet. I did find some of the bitches lacking in bone but one or two classes were a credit to the breeders, my BCC was just my type & one I could have brought home.

PD (3)

1 Phillips’ Rathsrigg Ask Im, very promising young dog, looking very smart & mature for age, lovely dark eye, long lean head, good length of neck leading to correct lay of shoulder, good feet, shapely rearquarters, moved soundly. BP;

2 Cumming’s Honeymist Blue Flame at Rocabec, smart well balanced pup with good outline, pleasing head & expression, lengthy neck, good lay of shoulder, strong hindquarters, moved well;

3Scorah & Wiles’ Rivendown Sword And Sorcery.

JD (1) A.

PGD (2)

1 Green’s Miteymidgets Harry Hopkins, masculine young dog, long lean head, well placed ears, good dark eye, correct front & topline, good rear angulation & length of hock, in good coat & condition, moved with drive & purpose;

2 Schofield & George’s Miteymidgets Vickers, litter brother to 1, similar remarks apply, well made, nice make & shape, lots to like about him but he did not settle in the ring & lost out to 1.

LD (7)

1 Owen’s Bisbee Blue Max, liked this dog as soon as he entered the ring, he appeared to say ‘look at me’, long lean head, well set on ears, nice dark eye, strong large white teeth with correct bite, long muscular neck leading to well laid shoulders, good depth of brisket, good topline which he kept on the move, well muscled rearquarters which he used well, moving with drive & purpose, harsh coat, well presented CC & BOB;

1 Richardson’s Uptnorth Quicksilver, young dog full of promise, pleasing to go over, lengthy head, well placed fine ears, strong foreface with large white teeth & correct bite, very hard to fault, just the right amount of bone, well defined quarters. Took a little time to settle, but when he did he moved well. RCC;

2 Garbutt’s Ch Aireview Reprint, well known winning dog of correct make & shape, head of good length, correct bite & small dark eye with keen expression, good lay of shoulder, good topline, best of legs & feet. Movement cost him his place;

3 Hamilton’s Sevray Rare Edition.

PB (7,1)

1 Rainsbury’s Sevray Repique, very promising, smart pup with nice head, good reach of neck, shapely body. When mature should be there at the top;

2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, smart young bitch, well balanced, correct size, pleasing topline but lost it on the move, could have been feeling the heat;
