Border Union Agricultural Society Judge(s) Mr John Griffin DCC KARAMYND PLAY THE GAME JW (MRS J A GRIFFITHS)
PD (7,3a) 1 West’s Karamynd Playing Away at Tomlyndon, just a baby but showing great promise, varminty appearance, distinct stop, dark eyes, small ears, scissor bite, level back, moved well; 2 Wilson & Bailey’s Lymehills Super Trooper, compact dog with dark eye & erect ears, correct bite, level back, short coupled, moved OK; 3 Simmon’s Sarshairn Hot Toddy at Sybels. JD (6,2) 1 Dale’s Lynsnto Mastercard, strong deep chested dog, distinct stop, dark eyes, small erect ears, scissor bite, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, level back, straight & easy movement all round. RCC; 2 Gordon’s Lamsmore Fitzwritin, powerful quarters, head thickly coated, muscular neck, level back, moved well; 3 Anthony’s Rozamie Dream On with Charmedautum. ND (2,1) 1 L Fitzwritin. GD (3) 1 Tullis’ Drumheugh True Grit, good head with well set ears & dark eye, compact body, moved OK; 2 Windram’s Kristen Kenzie Fagan, strong looking dog, dark eye, erect ears, level back, moved OK; 3 Fletcher-King & King’s Kellbany White Wizard. PGD (7,2) 1 Bell’s Ashgate Deep Secret, lovely dog to go over, harshes of coats, well presented, strong head with correct bite, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, level back, short coupled, moved well; 2 Taylor’s Birkfell Second Chance, good head, ears & eyes well placed, correct bite, level back, good movement; 3 Ladham’s Carliol September Song at Juraspirit. LD (3,1) 1 Griffiths’ Karamynd Play The Game, this dog looks smart & compact when stacked & on the move, to go over him was a joy, strong head, correct bite, good sized teeth, deep chest, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, level back, short coupled, tail bang on top, hindquarters powerful with thighs muscular, you could see why he moved so well, he & his handler were at one with the dog wanting to please all the time. CC & BOB; 2 Atkins’ Kimgarwyn Crusader at Abercroft, was unfortunate to meet 1 in such good form, strong looking dog, distinct stop, dark eye, well placed ears, neck of appropriate proportion into well placed shoulders, level back, moved well. OD (3,1) 1 Dale’s Lynnsto Pelham, smart well presented dog, slightly domed head, dark eye & small erect ears, correct bite, level back, moved well; 2 Abbey’s Kristajen Know It All, masculine dog, strong head, scissor bite, adequate length of neck, level back. Just liked the movement of 1. PB (9,2) 1 Hughes’ Brychdyn Kite Mark, good strong head, dark eyes, scissor bite, distinct stop, level back, short coupled, moved well. BP; 2 Strand’s Westlake Pearly Lady, still a youngster but has a lot of promise, good head, bite correct, well placed shoulders, short coupled, moved well; 3 Wilson & Bailey’s Lymehills Lets Party. JB (9,2) 1 Dale’s Lynnsto Ultraviolet, very inquisitive little bitch that grabs your attention as soon as she walks in the ring, good head, dark eyes, scissor bite, level back, well presented & moved well; 2 Bell’s Ashgate Armine, well presented bitch with quality, strong head, well placed ears, correct bite, level bite, moved well, could change places with 1 on another occasion; 3 Ladham’s Lynnsto Make It High Life for Juraspirit NB (5,1) 1 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Rose Hip Lass, pleasant head, good coat, moved OK; 2 Cleland’s Something Similar at Birkfell, dark eye, good earset, scissor bite, level back. But appear that they were there for a stroll in the park; 3 Carr’s Dwilencia Spring Mist over Glencarren. GB (3,1) 1 Reidie’s Asheridgelee Miss Ambition, quality bitch, good head, distinct stop, correct shoulders, level back, moved well; 2 McManus’ Brougherview Hidie-Hi, not a bad bitch but needs attention to training for dog & trimming. PGB (8,2) 1 Griffiths’ Karamynd Take A Bow, this kennel is producing excellent stock, the bitch I would take home any day of the week, meets the breed Standard & shows her socks off, showy without being ostentatious, no more needs to be said. RCC; 2 Hand’s Crinan Celesta, has many of the attributes of 1 but on the day preferred the presentation of 1; 3 Windram’s Cassara Princess. LB (7,2) 1 Smith’s Davot Chase The Lady at Faymar, I liked this bitch, presentation superb as I expected, head strong, eyes & ears set well, appropriate length of neck, good shoulder placement, level back. Didn’t move at her best; 2 West’s Tomlyn Look Of Love, on another day this bitch would change places with 1, liked her a lot but 1 was better presented; 3 Hughes’ Hopecharm I’m No April Fool at Brychdyn. OB (7,1) 1 Lancaster’s Clanestar Careless Spell, bitch that I have never watched when showing because the handler goes clockwise rather than anti-clockwise. Strength in head, eyes & ears excellently placed, elbows tucked in, short coupled & moved with drive. A pity that she met the DCC winner who went like a dream, otherwise could have been BOB. CC, her third; 2 Edmondson’s Ch Pepabby Priceless, deservedly a ch but here I didn’t think she performed well & had to give this class to the more spirited bitch; 3 Hand’s Crinan Come Fly With Me.
