Judge(s) Mrs Steph Holbrook DCC JOKYL CAPTAIN SCARLET (MRS O K & MRS M JACKSON & SWASH) Judge(s) Mrs Steph Holbrook In general, presentation was good. I was disappointment that few exhibits showed firm muscletone. There were also some light eyes & some large round eyes. These eye faults are serious & need strict consideration in the future breeding programme. It was a shame that several otherwise good exhibits did not want to be ‘seen’ so were appropriately withdrawn from their class. PD (1) 1 Hacker & Jenkins’ Sherifs Midnight Rambler, promising, sound baby, good head, eye & ears, clean over line through long neck, good withers & shoulders, short level back & high set on, good coat texture for one so young. BP. JD (3) 1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Flash Gordon, nice dog of balanced proportions, good coat & colour, good head & eye, ears OK, flowing over line, through clean tapering neck & good shoulders with short, firm level back into good set on. OK away but needs to tighten in front; 2 Cole’s Magwyr Rhapsodi In Blue, nice overall type of dog. A touch wide in skull. Good ears, neck & shoulders, level back, good set on, moved OK. PGD (7,2a) 1 Ventress’ Junaken Viadrian, all ‘terrier’ balanced youngster, good alert attitude & expression, used ears well, very good over line through long neck, good shoulders & short back, good set on with plenty behind, moved well. Needs more time to fully drop into his chest, would prefer his skull a little flatter. Very well handled. RCC; 2 Collins & Curran’s Collcurr Courageous, nice dog with good head & long neck, well laid shoulders & level back, sound mover. Would benefit from sharper trimming & a touch more enthusiasm in the ring; 3 Pickering’s Jolliver George The Best. LD (4,2) 1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Archduke, mature medium size dog, good head, eye, ears, coat & colour. Neck could be a touch longer. Sound both ways but lacking drive; 2 Felstead’s Minnisoda Dappa Dan, nice dog of balanced proportions. Skull a touch broad but good eye & ears. Good neck & level back, close away, OK coming, good drive. OD (3,1) 1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Captain Scarlet, mature dog, up to size but very good balanced proportions & angulation, clean outline, excellent head & expression, long tapering neck into correct withers & shoulders, short, strong level back, tail on top with plenty behind. Could be a touch tighter on the move. CC; 2 Collins’ Ch Collcurr Adventurer, nice type of dog, balanced conformation with good body & muscle, sound steady mover. Would like more animation from him & sharper trim could give him more edge. V (1) 1 Brown’s Willowaire Masquerade, 8 years, in very good muscle & coat condition, real terrier scowl from good head, eye & ears, good neck, short back & balanced angulation, moved OK. PB (5,2) 1 Pickering’s Jolliver Abracadabra, feminine baby but would like more of her, skull could be longer. Good eye, ears, neck & shoulders, firm level back, tail on top with plenty behind. Needs to tighten on the move; 2 Edwards’ Smockally Sweet Charity, nice balanced puppy, good head, ears, neck & shoulders. Shame she persisted in arching her back. Good tailset with plenty behind, OK on the move; 3 Warden & Watt’s Sherifs Ruby Tuesday. JB (7) 1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Star Flash, impressive youngster with good ring presence & oozing animation, very good head, eye & ears, long neck, correct withers & shoulders, short level back, tail on top with ample behind, good balanced angulation used to advantage, excellent on the move. Super coat texture but sadly lacking in undercoat. RCC; 2 Stuart’s Garland Tango Girl, feminine youngster, more cobby in type than 1, skull could be a touch finer. Good neck & shoulders, short level back, good set on & hindquarter, colour & coat texture. Needs to tighten on the move; 3 Felstead’s Minnisoda Calendar Girl. PGB (12,2) 1 Brand’s Branded Jumping Bean, lovely bitch, excellent head, eye & ears, long tapering neck, correct withers & shoulders, short level back into good set on, plenty behind & good balanced angulation, well ribbed, moved well; 2 Johnstone’s Jecadie Boops Hot And Spicy, nice honest, feminine bitch, good head, expression, neck & shoulders. Slightly longer in back than 1. Excellent set on with good bum & correct balanced angulation, moved well; 3 Hunter’s Hazenaide Leading Light. LB (7,3) 1 Morris’ Nedella The Diamond, feminine stylish bitch, up to size but everything in the right place, lovely lean head & expression, good ear carriage, clean flowing over line through long neck, well laid shoulders, short firm back, good set on, bum & angulation, well presented with good coat texture. Such a shame she was stubborn on the move, OK away; 2 Cole’s Magwyr Be Dazzled, feminine grizzle bitch, excellent coat texture, pleasing balanced conformation, strong, well ribbed cobby body, OK coming – a little slack going; 3 Toulson’s Toulsyork Auspicious. OB (5,1) 1 Hampton & Hall’s Jaideld Gypsy Viviana of Muliebrity, quality, feminine, cobby balanced bitch, on her tip toes, sharp head & expression, well set ears, long tapering neck into well laid shoulders, short, firm, level back & excellent set on, well ribbed & muscled body, easy, sound mover showing good co-ordination. CC & BOB; 2 Barrett’s Jokyl Must Have Jazz, mature, cobby, strong but feminine bitch, keen expression, very good neck & shoulders, short level back, good set on, bum & angulation, good mover; 3 Terry’s Ch Daielsie Jans Party Girl.
