Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcester, WR3 6NW Judge Miss Angela Goddard DCC BOB SUJONCLA SINTE GALESHKA (MRS S SEABRIDGE)
I found no cracked pads, temperament with one exception was excellent, some teeth were dirty & found two level bites. I was amazed to find a number with very poor muscletone, some with too much body condition & some with not enough. Racy dogs does not equal thin. I was however more than pleased with my winners. PD (2) 1 BP, Anderson’s Kerrykeel Ronan, tall enough but well balanced 10 months, long lean head, small dark eyes, excellent expression, very good neck & shoulders, straight front, tight feet, moved a shade close behind; 2 Bissell’s Real Red Rum, 6 months, heavier made, good length to head but would like cleaner skull & smaller eyes. Straight front, good turn of stifle, would benefit from ring training. JD (2) 1 Seabridge’s Kerrykeel Wounded Knee at Sujoncla, well grown 8 months, good head & expression, clean neck & shoulders, good legs & feet. Needs to clear in colour. Went well; 2 Harman’s Bonosue The Mighty Quinn, well boned youngster, harsh jacket, well angled quarters. Would prefer a more level topline, ears need to settle. PGD (3) 1 CC & BOB, Seabridge’s Sujoncla Sinte Galeshka, ideal size & racy outline, long lean head, small dark eye, excellent ears & expression, long neck, good lay of shoulders, straight front, tight feet, very good quarters, well muscled, moved well; 2 Nevill’s Montelle Lord Montague, good length to muzzle, dark eye, straight front. Would prefer better lay of shoulder. Well ribbed back, strong quarters, in good jacket; 3 Atwell’s Montelle Mr Sandman at Xanwil. LD (3) 1 Hardman’s Eric The Red, good size, rather heavy in ear which spoilt expression, length of back OK, good turn of stifle, lacking in body & muscletone; 2 M Mr Sandman at X, tall dog, well boned, fair head, would prefer a more level topline, movement erratic; 3 Cooke’s Lionwood Rowanberry. OD (6) 1 RCC, Averis & Barker’s Saredon Storm Front, excellent size, lovely head & expression, small dark eye, long neck, well laid shoulders, well muscled, in grand jacket, very good movement. Sadly carrying too much weight, so outline spoilt; 2 Seabridge’s Ch Balengro Tben Tainte at Sujoncla, different type & taller, super racy outline, lean head of good length, pleasing neck & shoulders, rather short of coat; 3 Bradley’s Lord Of The Ring at Montelle. PB (4) 1 Wooding’s Woodraith Golden Buttercup, really taken with this 7 month old, beautiful neck & lay of shoulder, good length to lean head, small dark eye, very good expression. Pleasing length of back with well angled quarters, jacket coming nicely, went well for one so young; 2 Ruffles’ Ruffmar Ballerina, very nice one, just 6 months, more substantial build than 1 but most of the same remarks apply. Shall watch their progress with interest. Just felt my winner’s movement more positive; 3 Bamsey’s Holbam Pearly Shannon. JB (3) 1 Lovelace’s Brazan Seghill, very nice bitch, good size, excellent jacket, pleasing head, well boned, small tight feet, would benefit from being moved at a faster pace, carrying too much condition; 2 Atwell’s Chouxfleur Magic Willow at Xanwil, finer made, fair head, ears need to settle, good length of back, needs more muscle. PGB (3) 1 Barker’s Irvonhill Mojito, good size, in very good jacket, pleasing neck & shoulders, when settled moved well; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Plaything to Spanwise, straight front, harsh jacket, rather bold in eye which spoilt expression, no muscle. LB (4) 1 CC, Seabridge’s Sujoncla Tecumsen, litter sister to Galeshka & a feminine version of him, so same remarks apply. In the challenge the dog just had the edge, but it was close; 2 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Orlaith, taller one, racy outline, long head, small dark eye with ‘dhurty’ expression, good forehand, long back, well angulated quarters; 3 Woodings’ Sujoncla White Horse. OB (5) 1 RCC, Rundle & Batley’s Ch/Swe Ch Larkans Udda, tall but so well made, presenting an excellent outline. Long head, dark eye, good expression, lovely neck & shoulders, deep chest, well ribbed back, strong quarters, in good coat & condition; 2 Stirling & Williamson’s Ch Montelle Mi Lady, better size than 1, feminine head & expression, dark eye, well made, very short of coat, needs more muscle, moved soundly but with no animation; 3 Barker’s Kells American Heritage.
