I enjoyed judging this small but interesting entry. A couple of exhibits had irregular bites. The BOB was outstanding. PD (2) 1 Hughes & Pearce’s Knowlelion Allow Me, lively, well made youngster, true mover. Preferred his neck & shoulders & tail carriage to 2. RBD; 2 Franklyn’s Jolliver Magical Wizard, sound type, neat ears. Needs more trimming to highlight good points & needs to settle when moving. JD & PGD (0). OD (2) 1 Poole’s Alokin All Told, stood out today, well balanced in outline with great presence, nice neck blending into well laid shoulders, tail well set on, excels in hindquarters, strong with correct turn of stifle, drives well from hocks, very true mover covering ground very well with great drive. BOB; 2 Poole’s Alokin A Touch Of Frost, nice shape but lacks animation & doesn’t make the most of himself. Would prefer a slightly different head with higher set ears. PB (2) 1 Rundle’s Felstead Fair Delighted, very alert youngster, full of character, nice head with neat ears, short coupled, moved well when settled down. RBB; 2 Hughes’ Knowlelion Almighty Martha another lively one, hardest coat of the day. Preferred 1’s ear carriage & shoulders. JB (0). PGB (2,1a) 1 Pearce’s Ockingham’s Roxanne, solidly built, perhaps could carry a little less weight. Plenty of undercoat. Tailset could perhaps be a little higher & hindquarters could be a little stronger. OB (3,2) 1 Gatto-Ronchieri’s Nagard Night Star, nice type, balanced & short coupled, well placed & carried ears, nice dark eye, good bone. BB. For BOB felt the dog was better in hindquarters & in movement.
