BORDER THREE COUNTIES 25 Judge: Mr B Aubrey Thank you all for a wonderful entry especially for a Thursday, I found the bitches better in quality than the dogs on the day, I feel I can speak little about what I found as I have worked them, shown them and bred them, but I wont criticise, as many showing this wonderful breed forgotten more than I know, but it’s my observation on the day, There were a few I really liked that lacked jackets on the day, I found a few with ears to big, and some needed more power moving from behind, but that can be improved, please don’t over stretch when you are stacking them, And now my biggest bugbear, please don’t keep shoving bait into their mouths when a judge is trying to go over their heads this is happening a lot now why I don’t know, never seen it so bad as lately but in most terrier exhibitors, moan over! Also thank you to both my stewards Gavin Argyle and Penny Winger, who done an amazing job Thank you both MPD 1 Gilpin’s Otterbobobs Beazon 7 month old very smart Puppy, good head for his age, correct front, easily spanned, good length in body moved well, I watch his progress with interest, PD 1 Atkinsons Raedwulf Lionheart Blue and tan very smart head good, eye colour, correct in bite. good front standing on good feet In correct jacket with ticking coming through, moved well he was a bit shy of his tail on the move but will only improve 2 Thomas Alcumlow Penderyn Standing he gives a lovely overall picture, head of good type, easily spanned, in correct jacket, but when he moved today he was hunching that made his rear quarters looking high JD 1 Mcphersons, Brumberhill Beswick very smart youngster grizzle, true otter head strong underjaw, narrow front easily spanned, correct in shoulders, good jacket, true in topline held his tail at correct angle. moved well fore than aft just needs a little more muscle in backend and that will come with Maturity RCC should go on to better things, YD 1 Guvercin Forest Zpod Chlumskych Haju Glebeheath (Imp) When this dog came into the ring in full jacket, I thought he looks ok but looked a bit stuffy in neck, and this where judges should not prejudge as I did until you put your hands on them wow for me he screams Border terrier cracking otter head, correct bite strong underjaw, well boned front standing on good feet, thick pads, correct shoulders leading in a good length of neck not stuffy what’s so ever, and good topline, strong rear quarters moved really well No hesitation in giving him the CC his second I was told third cant be far away, 2 Nettles Onziemehurst The Red Baron, liked this one as well very workmanlike in very fit condition and in good jacket, narrow all through easily spanned good hindquarters, moved well 3 Mcphersons Brumberhill Bit O Blarney Nd 1 Atkinsons Raedwulf Lionheart Winner Of Puppy Dog Gd 1 Brumberhill Beswick Winner Of Junior Dog And RCC 2 Cummins Kewhaigh Innocent Man. His coat is harsh to the touch thick pelt, seemed to enjoy his day moved well 2 Hyslop Rock Sam At Raisbeck Ss, in good coat moved well, another who enjoying his day out thank you for bringing them under me MPB 1 Stevens Ranthorn Return Favour For Cobstoneway (Imp USA) Supper class of minor puppy bitch puppies in this class and should change places many times, but this young lady screams border terrier, light grizzle, narrow in front with good bone and correct feet, in super coat, easily spanned, thick pelt, correct topline, tail correctly held on the move, moved well excited to see Her Mature, Best puppy in Breed congratulations, 2 Yeates Badgerbeck Little Jeanie At Bluebabel How good is it to see the Badgerbeck breeding back in the ring, grizzle very similar type to one, overall picture as I would like to see at this age. Moved with drive, correct carroty tail held correct when moving 3 Nocks Otterbobs Duchy PB 1 Barbers Alcumlow Sip And Swirl Stunning blue and tan, correct otter head dark eyes, good bite with big teeth, straight front leading in correct shoulders, her blue jacket is suburb with good ticking at this age, easily spanned another that moved well. 2 Baxter’s Mysulan Byards Lass Another so correct for her age hard decision between 1 and 2 as I said in the beginning how strong are the bitches on the day, which is so good for any breed. In A1 condition narrow in body carried well back ribs, thick pelt moved well fore than aft 3 Atkinson Raedwulf Babooshka Jb 1 Irving’s Reedwater Coppice At Dandyhow Grizzle another of good type from her head to her well carried tail, Her jacket is harsh to the touch with correct under coat, very playful when moving but then settled down and moved well both ways, one for the upper house without doubt a quality young girl, 2 Wains Itsaso A Beacon Of Hope good in skull, strong underjaw, neat ears, enough spring of rib, easily spanned, covered the ground well when moving both ways liked her a lot. 3 Halls Borderrush Bean And Gone Yb 1 Peacocks Ragatam Daydreamer JW Wow what a smart bitch, great temperament with her happy go lucky approach. Correct otter head, strong in jaw and big teeth, dark eyes. Correct neat feet standing on thick pads.
