BORDER SKC MAY 14 Judge(s): MR W BROWNE-COLE Border Terriers MPD (5,1a) 1 Hopper’s Esyntona Reindeer Moss, promising balanced youngster, correct bite, good coat & feet, liked his angulation, moved well; 2 Wildey’s Shiftyfox Roll The Dice, another promising one with good lay of shoulder & angulation, covered the ground well; 3 McHardy’s Foxtrot Teal. PD (3) 1 Hollingsbee’s Otterwood Caius, very promising b/t, good head shape, eye & bite, ample neck, good bone, legs & feet, moved true both ways, should do well. BP; 2 Golding’s Earthdog Lanyard by Beaconpike, promising youngster with pleasing head & eye, just preferred topline of 1 on the day; 3 Mackenzie’s Whittonglebe Clansman. JD (4,2) 1 Fletcher’s Wadesleia Mr Herriot, pleasing overall balance, correct topline both standing & on the move; 2 Perry’s Lexmar Father To Son, typy head shape, a little long cast, very good coat & condition. YD (1) 1 Hall & Ellis’ Brackenfell Bok To Bach, good head & expression, correct bite, easily spanned, excellent tailset & mover, should do well. ND (2) 1 Mackenzie’s Whittonglebe Buster, young dog in excellent muscletone, spanned, good pelt, would just prefer a little reach in front. PGD (7,1) 1 Anderson’s Glenbucket Diamond Geezer, typy head with good bite, very good topline of a good length, excellent tailset, good pelt, covered the ground very well, easily spanned. RCC; 2 Hollingsbee’s Otterwood Cyrus, classy head with the best of bites, pleasing body shape, moved so well behind, just prefer a little more reach in front; 3 Johnston’s Joncroft Templar Knight. LD (8,1) 1 Dickinson & James’ Badgerholme Epsom Jet, very sound workmanlike dog, liked his head & expression, ample neck set in the best of shoulders, correct topline & hindquarters, couldn’t stand wrong, in good coat & condition, should make up. CC; 2 Scott’s Fehmarn Highland Encounter, free moving dog in excellent body condition, ample angulations & good feet; 3 Mckenzie’s Merumhor Midwinter. OD (4) 1 Haughton’s Chorbeck Charlie Chaplin, pleasing head & eye, good front, liked his pelt, moved OK; 2 Archibald’s Lairehope Lord Of The Glen at Tweedburn, ample neck, good shoulders & angulations, coat in good coat, moved steadily; 3 Fryer’s Irton Morse Code. VD (0). MPB (11,1) 1 Sansom’s Tarkaswell Doctors Orders, very promising youngster with all the qualities to do very well, just needs to settle a little but that should come with time; 2 Golding’s Beaconpike Venus, another promising youngster, liked her make & shape & coat texture; 3 Hopper’s Esyntona Honeysuckle. PB (5,2) 1 Carr’s Akenside Dimple at Wreighaugh, feminine youngster, dark expressive eyes, good bite, moved steadily; 2 Appleby-Jones’ Shiftryfox Angel Rosie, larger than 1, pleasing head & eye, moved soundly, does not want to grow on; 3 Macdonald’s Croitachonie Fiertal. JB (2) 1 Hayes’ Lexmar Mercury Midas Touch, easily spanned, excellent front & feet, very good coat & pelt, lovely dark expressive eye, moved well both ways; 2 Johnston’s Joncroft Timorous Beastie, pleasing make & shape, needs a new jacket, would prefer better feet. YB (6) 1 Johnson’s Benattivo Best Bet Karison, loved her forehand & body shape, good bone, legs & feet, excelled in movement, should do well; 2 Sansom’s Tarkaswell Double Agent, pleasing head & eye, correct topline & depth, not quite as positive as 1 in front; 3 Fraser’s Achnagairn Red Card. NB (4,1) 1 T Doctors Orders; 2 J Timorous Beastie; 3 A Dimple at W. PGB (7,2) 1 Wheatley’s Ruby Of Raughton Head at Loiriston, good head with well placed ears, correct bite, moved soundly; 2 Gillies’ Beaconpike Stargazer, good coat texture & pelt, needs to settle in movement; 3 Thomas’ Raleniro Lady Esquire. LB (9,2) 1 Hall & Ellis’ Beaconpike Nightsky at Brackenfell, feminine bitch with a good topline & length, correct set on, good lay of shoulder, good pelt, moved well; 2 Fryer’s Irton Enigma, liked this 3½ bitch but didn’t put all in today; 3 Lorraine’s Seymours Bubble And Squeak for Raleniro. OB (9,3) 1 Haughton’s Jamespaw Cockle Shell Bay by Chorbeck, very feminine bitch in excellent order, typical head, well placed ears, strong muzzle with excellent bite, loved her body shape, correct topline & length, good front & rear, a pleasure to see her move. CC & BOB; 2 Wildey’s Ch Bramblebrae Violet at Shiftyfox, top quality bitch & very worthy champion, pushed hard for top spot even though she left her jacket at home. RCC; 3 Brannan & Kelly’s Ch Cedarhill Rising Star at Brankell. VB (1) 1 Fraser’s Achnagairn Smart Card, 7 year old with excellent coat texture & pelt, ample bone with good feet, moved true both ways.
