BORDER SKC 10 Judge(s) MRS M A BAILEY DCC CH BYRONS GREENGRASS (MR J & MRS H M THOMAS) Border Terriers I was sorry to see a few exhibits with straight shoulders which affects front movement & a few with incorrect mouths. However, on the positive side there was a lot of quality & correct size in the breed, which were fit for function. Unfortunately the grass in the ring was very long, which made it difficult to access movement. MPD (5,2a) 1 Johnson’s Karison Kumphey, nice head, straight front, well laid shoulders, level topline, well set on tail, good rear angulation, good coat. Hope he’s finished growing. Moved well; 2 Barrett’s Howthwaite Catch The Breeze, very strong, good level topline, OK angulation. Out of coat; 3 Temple’s Boemwell Red Alert. PD (4) 1 McPherson’s Brumberhill Benchmarked, correct size, good width of skull & muzzle for a young dog, good rear angulation. Hope tightens in front. Moved with drive from rear, level topline, neat feet, good harsh coat & thick pelt, excellent show condition, as one expects from this kennel, never stopped showing. BP; 2 Pickering’s Picer King Edward, good head, strong muzzle, good front, well laid shoulders & rear angulation, moved out well, covering ground, neat feet. Up on leg. Excellent coat, presented & showed well; 3 Peacock’s Ragtam Lets Go. JD (6) 1 Higham’s Comberdown Jailbreak to Vandamere, watched from puppy classes & didn’t disappoint, broad masculine skull, well filled under eyes, strong muzzle, keen expression, good front, correct angulation, level topline kept on move, coat just coming. Moved with drive, showed & presented well. RCC; 2 Gill’s Tyneaster Ancnoc Brom, good head, but not as strong in muzzle as 1. Correct front angulation, but stifle a little straight. Good double coat, showed well; 3 Lockley’s Brave Rebellion at Chatmoss.
