Border Terriers

I was particularly impressed with the young stock which augurs well for the breed. Coats were at all stages, from coming in to on the turn.

1 Peacock’s Kelcraig Dalesman, grizzle with nice overall balance, pleasing head, dark eye, correct bite, in good coat with good front & shoulders, played up a little on the table but settled & went well;

2 Tuffin’s Othamcourt Woodchat at Oatberry, good headed youngster with well set ears, dark eye, spannable with ribs back & strong quarters;

3 Leavy’s Wychwizard Abracadabra.

PD (8) 1 Guvercin’s, Dandyhow Jumping Jack at Glebheath, stunning grizzle, lovely otter head with well set ears, dark eye, correct bite, cracking front & shoulders, nice length with ribs back & spannable, thick pelt with good coat, nice quarters, best of movement presenting a lovely profile carry a level topline & well set tail. Handled well. BP & RCC;

2 Dickenson’s Ragatam Newmarket at Badgerholme, nice all round with pleasing head & expression, good mouth, not the coat of 1 but lots to like about him, went well;

3 Sharp’s Rhozzum Down To Earth.

1 Irving’s Dandyhow Dr Walter, grizzle with lovely head, nice dark eye, well set ears, good bite, straight front with neat feet, good shoulders, ribs back & spannable with good quarters, good coat, went well;

2 Golding’s Beaconpike Red Saturn, nice otter head, correct bite, lovely coat & condition, pleasing body with ribs back & spannable, thick pelt. Moved & handled well;

3 Lowry’s Ravenside Workforce.

1 Fulkner’s Foxpaw Brilliant Disguise, grizzle presenting a nice outline with pleasing expression, well set ears, correct bite, good front & shoulders with neat feet, in good coat with spannable body. Went well;

2 Edward’s Quarryway Tabasco at Dualta, nice grizzle with good head, nice ears & correct bite, clean neck to spannable body with ribs back, good pelt & coat, moved & handled well;

3 Fordham’s Colourbox Gunpowder.

1 Golding’s Ashbrae Fellman at Beaconpike, otter headed dog with well set neat ears, correct mouth, straight front with neat feet, nice overall length with ribs back & spannable, good quarters, in good coat with thick pelt, moved & handled well;

2 Mitchell’s Ragatam Joker at Paleside, nice typy dog, lovely head, good muzzle, correct bite, smaller than 1 with nice overall balance, well presented in lovely coat & condition, went well;

3 Hunt’s Ethlencoral Pip at Otteswell.

OD (7)

1 Johnson & Williams’ Ch Quarryway Dill, so much to like about this grizzle of lovely type, so well balanced, good at any angle, with lovely movement. Best I’ve seen him with good coat & condition, thick pelt, fit dog with good muscletone. Went well. CC & BOB;

2 Stockley’s Foxfactor Hornblower, good expression with grand head, correct mouth, good front & shoulders with best of feet, ribs back & spannable, in good double coat, nice quarters, moved true coming & going;

3 Anscombe’s Ch Orangebox Firecracker.

1 Studley & Dace’s Falconarch Georji Girl at Studstaff, mature youngster with pleasing otter head, nice eye & ears, good bite, pleasing front & feet, ribs back & spannable, good thick pelt with correct double coat. Went well presenting a well set carrot tail;

2 Aldis’ Torryburn Brocade, racy bitch who moved well both ways, typy with nice feminine expression, in good coat;

3 Freer’s Tufterlodge Good Time Rock at Felfree.

1 Peacock’s Ragatam Nutmeg, pleasing grizzle youngster with lovely head & expression, nice eye, correct bite, good front & shoulders with neat feet, good overall balance with ribs back, spannable, good coat & pelt, went well;

2 Taylor’s Irton Mata Hari at Foxthorn, pushed 1 hard & nothing between them, otter headed with lovely earset, good width of muzzle with correct bite, good front, pleasing spannable body of nice length, good quarters, went well;

3 Hyslop’s Baywillow Brown Braid.

1 Golding’s Beaconpike In A Storm, r/grizzle of lovely type, nice expression, good all round bitch with good coat & pelt, spannable with ribs back, nice feet, went well;

2 Marsh’s Olderhill Patience with Badgerlaw, b/t with lovely head, dark eye, correct bite, nice profile with ribs back & spannable. Moved & handled well;

3 Wingfield’s Eneonith Dazzeling Diamond.

1 Green’s Breckgreen Blue Christmas, typy b/t with lovely head & expression, nice eye, well set ears, correct mouth, straight front with good shoulders, nice overall length with ribs back & spannable, nice quarters, in good double coat. Went well;

2 Robbins’ Kyscafter Kestrel, pleasing grizzle with nice head, dark eye, correct bite, narrow front, straight with good shoulders, pleasing body with ribs back & spannable, nice quarters, neat carrot tail. Went well;

3 Evans’ Nogard Take Ten.

1 Stevens’ Cobstoneway Bayou Sunrise, grizzle with lovely head & expression, well set ears, good bite, in full double coat, thick pelt, easily spannable, nice feet, well set tail, moved & handled well. RCC;

2 Johnson & Williams’ Biddestone Poppyseed by Quarryway, light grizzle, pleasing all round, pretty bitch with nice expression, neat ears, good bite, best of fronts & feet, racy with ribs back & spannable, neat well set tail, moved true

3 Wright’s Totherend Taboo.

OB (12)

1 Holmes’ Trixdale Twix at Bimandi, grizzle with nice head & expression, dark eye, correct bite, straight front with neat feet, pleasing body with ribs back & spannable. In good double coat, thick pelt, flowed round the ring presenting a nice outline with good drive from strong quarters. CC;

2 Hunt’s Ottaswell Carmen, nice bitch, full of quality, pleasing head with well set ears, correct bite, good coat & pelt, spannable with well set carrot tail. Moved & handled well;

3 Stockley’s Rhozzum Keynote with Foxfactor.
