BORDER JUDGE DARLINGTON 09

Border Terriers

A very good entry in both quantity & quality. I was very pleased with the challenge line ups in both sexes.

VD

1 Ch Gameway Kiwi, 7 years, beautiful size & type, in great form, beautiful head & eye, good outline with clean neck, spannable body, sound on the move, good topline, in good coat. BV;

2 Bonosue Ozymandias, 8 years, good size & balance but his action just showing signs of age. Good head shape & ears, sound rear. Croup & tailset could be better;

3 Pipruda Shaamit.

MPD

1 Comberdown Jailbreak to Vandamere, 7 months, very clean outline, excellent head & ears, good eye, very good angulation giving good movement, coming into good coat;

2 Xapex Santiago at Otterwood, 8 months bl/t, excellent coat & pelt, good outline. Just preferred the balance of leg length of 1. Good skull, foreface & eyes. Ears a little heavy. Went well & held a good topline;

3 Tyneaster Ancnoc Brom.

PD

1 Glebeheath Stan The Man, 11 months, outstanding puppy, in great coat, full of type & quality, uses himself well on the move holding his good outline. Liked him all through, should have a great career. BPD;

2 Iacheslea Cantus, 10 months, beautiful outline & chest, good mover. Not quite the strength of foreface of 1 but full of quality. Good coat & holds his shape on the move;

3 Solitary Mist.

JD

1 Dandyhow Beeline, very typy & free from exaggeration, sound moving with good topline, good coat & skin, head of good proportions & shape. Still has a teenager look about him but has the strength of quality & should come on well;

2 Ravenside Ballymoss, high quality, full of type, excellent coat, good skull. Preferred the foreface & ears of 1. Smart mover with good stride, very workmanlike;

3 Digmoor Captain Rook by Tyrian.

PGD

1 Otterbabs Riggindale, classy dog, excellent angulation used on the move, quality head & eye, well ribbed back, spannable, full of quality, liked the racy quality to him. With full maturity should make a lovely dog;

2 Ragatam Hawk at Staynorwood, a lot of type & in super coat, thick pelt, good legs & feet, excellent head proportions, good eye. Spannable but 1 held a slightly longer ribcage & this showed on the move. However liked him a lot;

3 Caznray Double Trouble.

LD

Excellent class.

1 Quarryway Dill, took my eye immediately, lovely quality, holding his shape well, in super coat, excellent otter head, good eye & ears, in excellent coat, his long stride & accuracy on the move really appealed, excellent through the neck & shoulder. RCC;

2 Cedarhill Authorized, lovely type, in excellent coat, correct head, shape & proportions, excellent angulation, very good qualities. Just preferred the tailset of 1 but pressed very hard in this good class;

3 Gameway Charles Dickens.

OD

1 Ch Tythrop Tapas, in great form, beautiful type, well built all through, real workmanlike terrier with excellent movement, hard top coat, pliable skin, his maturity of body had the edge over Dill & he took CC & BOB;

2 Ch Vandamerees Secret Agent, similar for size & balance, excellent head proportions & shape. A little heavier in ear than 1. Excellent coat & feet. Just preferred the rear angulation of 1;

3 Ch Stineval Acerola with Tyrian.

VB

1 Ch Brumberhill Betwixt, 7 years, beautiful bitch, great neck & shoulders, clean outline, very sound with free stride. Just a shade slack in topline but retains all of her quality & type. Not in her best coat but her excellent lines, angulation & movement are still very evident;

2 Remony Sunset Song, 9 years, great coat & pelt, very good coat. Not quite the cleanness of neck & shoulder of 1 but still reasonably sound;

3 Achnagairn Little Pate. MPB 1 Achnagairn Code Name Glebeheath, almost 7 months & quite beautiful, a real model for type & balance, great neck & shoulder, excellent head, superb coat & pelt. Remarkably co-ordinated on the move, should have a sound future, lucky owner to have such prospects in her puppy winners;

2 Conundrum Don’t Tell Tula about Cedarhill, almost 8 months, excellent puppy, clean lined & full of quality, very sound with good length of stride. Just preferred the head & balance of 1;

3 Hartswelin Tip Top.

PB

1 Southash Betty Boo Gameway, outstanding winner in this class, 10 months bl/t, beautiful outline held on the move, superb coat for texture & colour, excellent head proportions, good eye, ultra sound on the move. In the challenge had a new handler & was not as co-ordinated. BP & PG1;

2 Iacheslea Cantilena, 10 months, full of spirit, very workmanlike, very good mover carrying herself well, very good coat. Slightly preferred the foreface of 1 but a lot to like;

3 Carrickfarm Mika.

JB

1 Benattivo Rosina, top quality bitch, stood out for her shape & balance on the move, good coat & style, clean lines, sound moving. Would just like her to drop a little on the front to give her a slightly more gentle underline as she matures. Good head shape, eye & ears;

2 Grindlewald Miss Teak at Eltonfurze, beautiful head, very good mover, liked her shape & balance. Not in her best coat but she has a lot of type;

3 Rexlands Golden Plover by Karlson.

PGB

1 Tythrop Tantivy, took the eye for shape & balance held on the move, excellent coat & pelt, good stride, good skull. Would prefer a little more strength of foreface. Her racy outline held & the move put her here;

2 Riseburn Roulette, preferred her head to 1, her beautiful coat & skin, very sound. 1 was just a little stronger in topline;

3 Lairehope Ruby Romance.

LB

1 Wagtail Lass via Ycart, beautiful size & balance, ultra sound, in wonderful coat, beautiful head. Could be just a little stronger over the loin but great stride & full of quality. Made the last cut in the CC challenge;

2 Plushcourt Royal Mint, very sound & workmanlike, in excellent coat, good proportions. Preferred the head of 1;

3 Hartswelin She’s Magic.

OB

Full of quality bitches, if rather mixed for size & type, some I liked standing were not going well.

1 Sw Ch Rockamore Limelight, lovely type & balance, in fantastic coat, ultra sound, not flashy but very well constructed & shows this on the move, liked her head & expression immediately, very workmanlike & full of quality. CC, her 2nd;

2 Comberdown Clara, different stamp of bitch, beautiful clean lines & super head. Just not the finish of chest of 1 but lovely neck & shoulder. Her clean lines & good movement put her here & won RCC;

3 Brumberhill Breeze.
