BORDER BOSTON 26 Judge: Mr K Baldwin (Nightstorm) Border Terriers I find are a very sound breed through-out and although in the standard for Gait/Movement, has the soundness to follow a horse, it does not emphases If it's built right it will move right! So if your dog came towards me crossing its front legs or cow hocked it was instantly down the line. Thank you for my quality entry! MPD (2) 1 1st, Cummins's, Kewhaigh Confession, 6 months old blue and tan, very appealing for my first dog to be gone over, lovely baby in good jacket, promising head that needs time to develop, scissor bite, well angulated shoulders, well ribbed and spannable, he has racy hindquarters and good footfall on the move 2 Black's, Otterbobs Garnett At Brandycrag, 6 months old grizzle, taller than winner at this stage with weight on his loin and nice harsh dry coat to match, good pelt, developing head, keen dark eye and scissor bite, front legs straight with ample bone, nice rear quarters, came towards me crossing his front on the move. PD (4,1) 1 Buxton's, Dassett Eclipse, blue and tan, 10 months old a lovely puppy with a developing head and short strong muzzle, dark eyes and nice expression, he makes a lovely shape in profile both stood and on the move, good bone and his angles are correct at both ends, nicely shaped ribs and body so easy spanned, his jacket is harsh and pelt is pliable, tail high set, on the move he is free flowing and positive, Best Dog Puppy and Best Puppy. 2 Rose's, Ardenholm Prince Of Thieves, 10 months old blue and tan, his head is well developed for his age and he has dark eyes, scissor bite, straight front legs and good shoulders, moderate neck and spannable body with good pelt just a touch long in loin and on the move, he crosses his front which cost him. 3 Black's, Otterbobs Garnett At Brandycrag. Repeat JD (5) 1 Girling's, Tarkaswell Hollywood Rock Benattivo, 15 months old grizzle, good size with masculine head, dark eyes and scissor bite, he makes a nice shape and lots to like, front legs viewed straight with good bone and racy rear quarter, spans easy with good pelt, moves free and even. Nettle's, Onziemehurst The Navigator, 13 months old grizzle, he didn't move as well which cost him for me, otter head, dark eyes and scissor bite, front legs viewed straight with good bone, spannable body and decent pelt, well put together and developing nicely, steady mover 3 Fawcett's, Beaconpike Pontus By Carrock YD (3) 1 Yates's, Bluebabel Border Song JW, 18 months old grizzle that was the smallest in this class yet masculine through-out with a good headpiece, strong muzzle and keen dark eyes, in nice harsh jacket, he has straight front legs and good feet, very easily spanned ribs, lovely racy hindquarters with well let down hocks, moved out even and with economy. 2 Thomas's, Alcumlow Penderyn, 22 months old blue and tan, tall lad with good head and expression, dark eyes and scissor bite, neck moderate length and shoulders good, he stands on straight front legs and small feet, his body is narrow with lean long loin so easy to span, nice dry jacket and topline, moved free and even around the ring. 3 Hughes's, Arunmere Rhapsody In Red JW ND (3,1) 1 Cummins's, Kewhaigh Confession. Repeat M Puppy 2 Rose's, Ardenholm Prince Of Thieves, Repeat Puppy 3 Taylor, Barkanellie Banksy GD (2) 1 Tuffin's, Flegato Fidelio At Oatberry, 3 years old blue and tan, tall with long neck that mergers sharply into high withers, long in loin, I would prefer a cleaner outline, front legs viewed straight stood but, on the move, they are thrown about, very uneconomical and he was very nimble and light footed going away. 2 Lorraine's, Tomhome Im An Upstart For Raleniro, 14 months old grizzle, masculine head with scissor bite and dark eyes, short neck and heavy overloaded front but his front legs were viewed straight with ample bone, his topline roaches over the croup so looks compact in profile. PGD (6,1) 1 1st, Heeley's, Thistlemead Fortitude JW, 2 years old grizzle, masculine head with keen expression, powerful muzzle and a good underjaw, his neck flows well into his nicely angulated shoulders and his ribs are spannable, harsh jacket covered a good pelt, racy hindquarter with well let down hocks, brisk mover well shown 2 Mooney's, Chesterton Vancouver, 2 ½ years old red with shaded ears, otter like head appealed in many ways, scissor bite and strong muzzle, keen dark eyes, his angles were good at both ends, front legs viewed straight with ample bone, spannable body and harsh dry jacket covered his decent pelt, shapely body that kept an excellent topline on the move and smooth positive action from his racy rear quarters, well presented. 3 Pateman's, Lessien Honky Tonk LD (12,3) 1 Sharp's, Manorcroft True Statesman At Martifers, 2 ½ years old grizzle, otter headed dog with nice dark eye, scissor bite with strong muzzle and good underjaw, moderate neck and firm in body but going over he felt so well put together a good honest border with harsh coat and thick pelt, racy hindquarter with well let down hocks, free and sound on the move. 2 Baxter's, Mysulan Byards Legend JW, 3 years old grizzle, with nice masculine otter head, good muzzle and plenty of underjaw, dark eyes and scissor bite, moderate neck into spannable body with slight roach over his loin, thick pelt and harsh jacket, positive and even on the move. Nettle's, Onziemehurst The Red Baron JW OD (8,1) 1 Gilpin's, CH Otterbobs Tolson, 6 years old grizzle a lovely mature boy with excellent head and expression, dark keen eye and scissor bite, neck of good length into his well laid shoulders, straight front legs viewed and good feet, his jacket was harsh with thick pelt, he keeps a good topline with well ribbed body and tail set high, easy spanned, racy hindquarters, moved very well both ways and presented to advantage, Dog CC and Best of Breed. 2 Atkinson's, Raedwulf Nightfall JW ShCEx RDCC, 4 years old grizzle, smart looking and on his toes, he has a strong masculine head, with a lovely short strong muzzle and a moderately broad skull, scissor bite, his eye is keen, lovely neck into well laid shoulders, narrow ribs and easy spannable, his body is trim over the loin, harsh jacket covering a thick pelt, racy hindquarters, he moved out free and even with purpose, overstretched in the challenge but I liked him. Reserve CC 3 Mooney's, Chesterton Viva Las Vegas VD (4,1) 1 Tuffin's, Hartswelin Veritas With Oatberry VW, 8 years young grizzle, he is turned out well for a veteran, lovely strong head with good mouth with clean teeth and strong underjaw, nice shoulders into spannable ribs carried well back, good jacket and pelt, racy hindquarter and moved well through-out, Best Veteran Dog. 2 , Taylor's, CH Barkanellie Blackadder, 7 ½ years young red with shaded ears, another super type of border a touch taller and longer in loin than winner, lovely strong head with dark eyes, good mouth and underjaw, nice shoulders into a spannable body with ribs carried well back, good coat and pelt, racy hindquarter and moved very well going away and back. 3 , Baxter's, Mysulan Going Solo JW VW Special Beginners D (5,1) 1 , Yates's, Bluebabel Your Song JW. Repeat Yearling 2 Cummins's, Kewhaigh Innocent Man JW, place 4th in limit class, blue and tan, he is tall but in proportion, good otter like headpiece, strong muzzle and keen dark eyes, scissor bite, he has straight front legs and good feet, very easily spanned ribs and in nice harsh jacket, lovely racy hindquarters with well let down hocks, moved out free and even. 3 Morgan's, Baillieswells Kilchoman Good Citizen D (6,1) 1 Mooney's, Chesterton Vancouver, Repeat Post Graduate 2 Rose's, Ardenholm Prince Of Thieves, Repeat Puppy 3 Tuffin's, Flegato Fidelio At Oatberry MPB (7,1) 1 Sutton's, Borderrush Teasel At Thistlewhiss, 6 months old grizzle, a very smart puppy showing a lovely outline and enjoying her day out, developing feminine head, good neck fitting into well angulated shoulders, easy spanned body with good pelt, straight front legs viewed and good feet, her hindquarters are racy, she moved out well for one so young. Very nice puppy. 2 Miles's, Rockslade Rave Review, 9 months old grizzle, keen dark eye and scissor bite her muzzle is strong, ears neat and falling correctly, moderate neck into lovely shoulders, her rib is narrow so spannable but just a touch longer in body than winner, racy hindquarters and well let down hocks complete the standing picture, steady on the move. 3 Hall's, Borderrush Bog Bean PB (7,1) 1 Spafford's, Dassett Silhouette, 10 months old lovely blue and tan puppy, her head is developing nicely for her age and she has a dark eye, scissor bite, straight front legs and good shoulders, moderate neck and spannable body with good pelt, moved nicely through-out. Best Puppy Bitch. 2 Hughes's, Arunmere Worth The Wait, 11 months old blue and tan, she has a lovely outline, feminine otter head, scissor bite, nice harsh jacket carried over a thick pelt, her front assembly has ample boned with well knuckled feet, racy hindquarter provided steady movement, a pleasing puppy. 3 Swain's, Ardenholm Belle JB (2) 1 1st, Guvercin's, Glebeheath Marigold, 12 months old strongly built grizzle, lovely feminine otter head is the first thing to greet you, dark eyes with keen expression and scissor bite, moderate neck fitting into clean shoulders, her ribs are carried well back and easily spanned, loin short and a racy hindquarter complemented this well balanced youngster, she moved out smooth and positive, one to watch in the future.2 Pearce's, Borderrush Ribera For Twizzlemere, 13 months old grizzle, smaller and more feminine all through than winner, otter head, lovely body shape, well angulated quarters, nice harsh and dense jacket, spannable with good pelt, topline tail and set are all correct, she did not make the most of herself today, I am sure she will do well once mature. YB (5,1) 1 Stephenson's, Fryerfold Morsgill, 18 months old grizzle, she has a lovely feminine head with plenty of fill under her eye and a strong muzzle, scissor bite, well angled shoulders and good ribs which made for a very easily span, short loin and a racy hindquarter all come together to make a nice package, she moved very well away and back, she is brisk even mover, well shown. 2 Barber's, Alcumlow Sip And Swirl JW, 22 months old blue and tan with a beautifully harsh and dry jacket, feminine head with moderately broad skull, strong muzzle, small ears well set, dark eyes and scissor bite, her body shape is taller and longer than I prefer, easy to span, racy rear quarters completed the picture. 3 Fleming's, Flegato Fons Amoris NB (4) 1 , Sutton's, Borderrush Teasel At Thistlewhiss. Repeat MP 2 Miles's, Rockslade Rave Review, Repeat MP 3 Hall's, Borderrush Riscal Rioja GB (12,3) 1 Dean and Regeer's, British Cooper Ziam Lawson At Cedarhill, 18 months old grizzle, she has all I look for in a female border terrier, her otter shaped head is lovely, dark eyes with keen expression, scissor bite, her moderate neck fits so well into her clean well angulated shoulders and front legs viewed straight with good bone, her ribs are well set back and she is easy to span, short strong loin and racy hindquarters with well let down hocks, her jacket was harsh and dry, and her pelt thick and pliable, on the move she powered around the ring smoothly with good driving action from the rear, Bitch CC 2 Scrimgeour's, Comalegy Lady Of The House With Fiadhaich, 2 years old blue and tan, good otter head with broad scull, scissor bite, moderate length neck into her firm body that is well ribbed so easy spanned, harsh jacket and good pelt, front legs long and straight viewed with ample bone, nice topline and underline with tail set high, racy rear quarters, moved free and even. 3 Glen's, Wilholme Angels Envy PGB (4,1) 1 1 Scrimgeour's, Comalegy The Countess With Fiadhaich JW, 3 years old grizzle a really smart bitch who came into the ring with a look at me attitude, feminine otter head with short strong muzzle, dark eyes with keen expression and scissor bite, lovely moderate neck into her well angulated shoulders, straight front legs and tight feet, well shaped ribs so easily spanned, nice short strong loin and racy hindquarter, moved out free and even2 Hill's, Chickenstalk My Princess, 2 years old grizzle, stronger built than winner and her movement was not economical as her rear quarters were uncoordinated at times that made her pace, otter like head with round dark eyes, scissor bite, deep chest with good coat and pelt, front legs viewed straight with ample bone.3 Hughes's, Arunmere Nighthawk LB (16) 1 Young's, Stowthorney Cloudspotter, 4 years old blue and tan, she is a quality bitch with lovely overall body shape, feminine otter head with short strong muzzle, dark eyes and scissor bite, clean neck into level topline and nice tail set, well ribbed back and easy spanned, front legs viewed straight with ample bone, racy rear quarter, moved out with positive ground covering footfall, well shown 2 Gilpin's, Otterbobs Indeedido, 20 months old grizzle, another top quality bitch, strong yet feminine otter shaped head with short muzzle, keen dark eyes and scissor bite, clean neck and shoulders, well ribbed back and spanned easily with thick pelt, very racy hindquarter which drove her around the ring with balanced ease, well shown, 3 Manchester's, Rundlebeck Mill On The Floss OB (8,1) 1 Fawcett's, Carrock Complicated JW, grizzle that is good size with added substance, workman like yet feminine, not overdone in this department at all, otter head with strong muzzle, scissor bite, dark eyes with keen expression, moderate neck into beautiful shoulders and narrow correctly shaped ribs, giving a good underline and easy spanned, her racy hindquarter powered her around the ring and she came and went cleanly. She is just what I want in a Border, Reserve Bitch CC 2 Barber's, CH Alcumlow Monet's Garden, 4 years old blue and tan, much taller than winner but she still makes a lovely outline in profile, broad yet feminine otter head with expressive dark eyes and scissor bite, long neck into good shoulders and front assembly, firm topline with nice underline but long in loin, her jacket was dry with good pelt, she spanned easily and moved nicely around the ring. 3 Wain's, CH Orangebox A New Hope At Itsaso ShCEx VB (6,2) 1 Irving's, CH Dandyhow Pandora 7 ½ years young grizzle, feminine head like an otter, dark eye and scissor bite, good neck fitting into well angulated shoulders, easy spanned body with good pelt, straight front legs viewed and good feet, her hindquarter are racy and she moved out well, Best Veteran Bitch and Best Veteran 2 Anscombe's, Gameway French Fancy Avec Orangebox VW, 9 years young grizzle a touch bigger than winner, feminine head with strong muzzle, keen dark eye and scissor bite, ears neat and falling correctly, moderate neck into lovely shoulders, her ribs are narrow so spannable but just a touch longer in loin than I prefer, racy hindquarters and well let down hocks complete the picture, even on the move. 3 Service's, Marsirdan Jemima Puddle Special Beginners B (6) 1 Yeates's, Badgerbeck Little Jeannie At Bluebabel JW, 20 months old grizzle that was VHC (5th in Graduate) so just goes to show how the quality of breed type this class was, lovely feminine otter head, dark eyes with keen expression and scissor bite, moderate neck fitting into clean shoulders, she is well rib back and easily spanned, loin short and racy hindquarters, moved freely, Best Special Beginners Bitch and Best Special Beginners 2 Manchester's, Rundlebeck Mill On The Floss, 3 ½ years old grizzle, feminine head with moderately broad skull, strong muzzle, small ears well set, dark eyes and scissor bite, her body is long in loin and she was easy to span, racy rear angulation, free mover. 3 Sutton's, Borderrush Teasel At Thistlewhiss Good Citizen B (7,1) 1 Taylor's, Ir CH Nottorg Nekesa CW24, 4 years old grizzle, unplaced in open bitch but not in disgrace, lots of quality here, otterlike head, scissor bite, straight front legs viewed, with ample bone, spannable with firm body, racy rear quarters, steady mover. 2 , Samsom's, Tarkaswell Lone Wolf JW, 15 months old, another unplaced in open bitch, longer in neck, easy spanned body with good pelt, straight front legs viewed and good feet, her hindquarter are racy, even on the move. 3 Speake's, Morley's Miss Zeva Keith Baldwin |
