BORDER BOSTON 20 Judge(s): TRICIA CLARK DCC BARKANELLIE BLACKADDER ( MR I & MRS J TAYLOR) This was my last judging appointment so thank you to all who entered under me on the day. I thoroughly enjoyed going over some very nice dogs. I would also like to thank my stewards Linda and Natalie who kept the ring running smoothly. I was very happy to see my BOB take Group 4 and my BP Puppy Group 2. MPD (4) 1 Gillam Manorcroft Frankie goes to Orenberg In good coat with a very nice topline tail thick and well set on. Moved true both ways. Pleasing expression. In challenge for BPD preferred the size of the puppy dog. 2 Alexander Pete’s Prince Piper Stronger headed pup short of coat today. Ok for size and moved out well. 3 Medhurst Grizzledale Legacy PD (8,2) 1 Spafford Reedwater Doc Holliday by Dassett In good coat and correct for size. Showed very well and good on the move. Pleasing head with good eye and nice expression BPD 2 Lothian Lairehope Starman A very mature pup with a very strong head. Held a good topline and was in good coat. Bigger than the winner. 3 Irving Dandyhow Oswald Franks JD (7,4) 1 Taylor Barkanellie Blackadder Lovely 16 month old who stood out and caught my eye immediately. Super head short strong muzzle good eye with correct expression. Beautifully turned out with good double coat. Thick carrot tail well set on from good topline which he carried all the time with very true movement he never stopped showing. Pleased to award him his 1st CC and BOB and delighted to see him take Group 4 today. 2 Karison Klaus A bigger dog who has a very pleasing head which was the deciding factor over the third placed dog otherwise both were quality dogs in good coat moving and showing well. 3 Bailey Brankell Big Break for Grindelvald YD (5) 1 Tuffin Hartswelin Veritas with Oatberry Nice for size easy to span in good double jacket. Stands up and shows very well. OK in head and moved out well enough. 2 Burgess Grizzledale War Cry Another smart dog in good thick tight jacket. Very keen expression showed and moved well. 3 Swain Weststar Lone Ranger PGD (10) 1 Glen Mara OH Viedo ay Kersfell JW (imp Fra) Another of the right size. Not exaggerated in any way. In correct double coat. Best mover in class. Nice head with good eye and pleasing expression. 2 Torryburn Allegro Very attractive head with keen expression. In super coat and close up to first placed dog but moved out better in front than behind today. 3 Whisker Thistlestone Glenfiddich LD (5) 1 Brewster and Green Stowthorney Wicker Man JW Loved the type of this dog. Super head with good eye and strong muzzle. Good outline with super topline and well carried tail. Needs to settle on the move as tends to rush. Unfortunately he had no jacket today. 2 Burrell Eneonith Marbles Nothing exaggerated on this boy showed and moved quite well. In good coat but not so good in topline and tail as the winner. 3 Smith Glebeheath Smash n Grab at Jordith OD (6) 1 Lothian Lairehope Duke Diamonte Nice type showing well and holding a good topline on the move. Rangy and an easy span. OK in head slightly long in foreface and just enough coat. 2 Holmes Ir ch. Barnby Caramel Wafer at Bimandi JW Sh CM. Difficult decision between first and second as different types. This boy has an attractive head and was in slightly better coat. He was deeper in chest and a bit shorter in rib. I preferred the overall balance of the winner but this one also very nice dog. 3 Hughes Chatmoss Bullet Tooth Tony JW V (4) 1 Hall and Ellis Ch Ger Nl Ch Brankenfell Bok to Bach JW Well known champion who certainly is keeping his looks and showmanship. Very impressed with his good bite of very white teeth. Well turned out, strong head level topline well set tail. Shows steadily and moved true but not with the stride of the younger CC winner today. Nevertheless pleased to award him RCC. And Best Veteran. 2 Goddard Ch. Kgills King of Swing at Awbrooksky Sh CM Another very well turned out dog whose teeth were white and so good for any age. Very well handled and shows very well. Very nice type with good bodylines and narrower than the 3rd placed dog. 3 Fryer Irton Morse Code JW SpBegin (2) 1 Swain Weststar Lone Ranger Third in yearling.
