BORDER BORDER UNION 26 MPD (5,2) 1 Stowthorney Enter Sandman (Brewster & Green) Nearly eight month old grizzle and tan puppy, who appeared to relax and gain confidence as the class progressed. He had expressive dark eyes, well set ears and big teeth. His neck flowed into a level topline and well set tail. Narrow throughout, his ribs extended well back and he was presented in a full coat with lovely thick pelt. He moved out well, although at the moment is a little loose in front. 2 Kewhaigh Confession (Cummins). A blue and tan six month old puppy of good size and type. Another who had a lovely head and expression. Easily spanned, his ribs were carried well back and he was presented with a correct double coat and thick pelt. He moved out positively. 3 Otterbobs Garnett At Brandycrag (Black) PD (5) 1 Beaconpike Polus (Golding) This grizzle and tan puppy, rising nine months, had a strong masculine head, with dark eyes, neat, correctly set ears, and a short strong muzzle. His neck flowed into a level topline, with a deep, narrow body, strong loin and well set thick tail. His was presented in a full double coat with a lovely loose pelt. He moved out with a good reach of stride and I was pleased to award him BP. 2 Sandyfaulds Finn Mccool (Grassie). Another quality puppy, eleven months of age. He had a moderately broad head with dark eyes, v-shaped ears and a correct bite with big teeth. He had a good reach of neck which flowed into a deep narrow body. He was slightly longer than my winner but his ribs extended well back. He had a level topline and short well set on tail. He was presented in a harsh coat with a thick pelt. He moved out positively. 3 Elemcella Calvin Candie (Tait) JD (4,2) 1 Tomhome Im An Upstart For Raleniro (Lorraine) This red grizzle dog had a beautiful otter like head with dark expressive eyes, neat, well positioned ears and a short strong muzzle. Balanced in his construction, his neck flowed into a deep, narrow, and moderately long body. He maintained his level topline on the move, striding out positively. He had a thick, loose pelt with his top coat coming through. 2 Onziemehurst The Navigator (Nettle). A grizzle and tan dog with a dark eye and keen expression. A good reach of neck flowed into a deep body of moderate length. Narrow throughout, his ribs were carried well back but I preferred the topline of my winner on the move today. Although short of coat, his harsh top coat was coming through. YD (8,3) 1 Arunmere Rhapsody In Red JW (Hughes) A real showman, with great presence. He had a moderately broad head, dark eye with a keen expression and strong muzzle with large teeth. A good reach of neck flowed into a super topline with strong loin and well set tail. Straight forelegs with moderate bone led to small neat feet. Good near angulation enabled him to move with purpose and drive. Well presented, in a harsh, dense coat with thick undercoat. I was pleased to award him the RDCC. 2 Bluebabel Your Song JW (Yates) This dog was beautifully presented and well handled. He had an expressive, dark eye, small, neat ears and many of the qualities described in my winner applied to him. He moved and showed well, but I preferred the size and masculinity of my winner. 3 Tomhome Im An Upstart For Raleniro (Lorraine) ND (3,1) 1 Picer He's The Gaffer (Blackie & Page). This grizzle dog was balanced in his construction, with a broad skull, dark eye with keen expression and a short strong muzzle with large teeth. He had a level topline and strong loin leading to a thick carrot like tail. Moderate in bone, he had straight front legs and good rear angulation. He had a harsh thick coat with a loose pelt. He moved out soundly. 2 - Baillieswells Dalmunach (Milton) This grizzle dog was moderately broad in skull with a dark eye and neat ear. Built on narrow lines, he was deep and fairly long with his ribs carried well back. He was unable to match my winner for quality of coat and thickness of pelt today, and I would have preferred to see him carrying a little more condition. He moved out well. GD (2) 1 Thistlemead Fortitude JW (Heeley) This grizzle and tan dog stood out for balance, type and moderation. He had a beautiful otter like head with a dark eye, neat ear and short strong muzzle. His neck flowed into a level topline with a strong loin and thick carrot like tail. He had a good lay of shoulder, straight forelegs and correct rear angulation. He was beautifully presented in a harsh double coat and moved out purposefully. He was strongly considered in the challenge, but didn't show himself with quite the same game attitude as he had done earlier. 2 Tomhome Im An Upstart For Raleniro (Lorraine) First in junior d PGD (10,1) 1 Auchenlaw Ted At Kilburnpride (Scott). This red grizzle dog had a strong, masculine head with a dark eye, neat, well placed ears and a short strong muzzle. His neck flowed into a body of moderate length with a strong loin and short, carrot like tail. His ribs extended well back and he was easily spanned. He was presented in a super harsh, tight coat with a loose thick pelt. He moved well with purpose and drive. 2 Onziemehurst The Red Baron JW (Nettle) This dark grizzle dog had a moderately broad skull, a keen expression and a strong muzzle with large teeth. A lovely reach of neck really flowed into a good lay of shoulder with straight forelegs and neat feet. A little taller and with more length than my winner, he had a level topline, with his ribs extending well back. He had a harsh double coat and showed well, being very attentive to his handler. He moved with purpose but was a little loose in his front movement today. 3 Kewhaigh Innocent Man JW ( Cummins) LD (10,1) 1 Mysulan Byards Legend JW (Baxter) This beautifully presented grizzle and tan dog stood out for balance and moderation. He had an attractive otter like head with expressive dark eyes and a short, strong muzzle. He had a good lay of shoulder, straight forelimbs and small neat feet. His quarters were racy and his hind limbs well angulated. He showed beautifully, being very attentive to his handler and moving out well. 2 Beaconpike Caelus (Golding) You really had to get your hands on this grizzle and tan dog to appreciate his structure under the full coat. He had a masculine head and good reach of neck which flowed into a level topline with a well set tail. A little longer in frame than my winner, he was easily spanned, with his ribs extending well back. At times, he stood a little overstretched. He moved out positively with purpose and drive. 3 Manorcroft True Statesman At Martifers (Sharp) OD (8) 1 Botterox Flint JW (Hillman). This grizzle and tan dog, balanced and moderate in his construction, showed great presence in the ring today. His head was masculine and broad in skull with dark expressive eyes, a shallow stop, short, strong muzzle and large teeth. He had straight forelegs with correct bone, a good underline and well angulated hind quarters. He was presented in a super harsh double coat with a loose thick pelt. He never stopped showing today and could not be overlooked. He moved with drive and a good reach of stride, very attentive and in harmony with his handler. I was pleased to award him the DCC and understand than subject to RKC approval, this will give him his title. Congratulations! 2 Chesterton Viva Las Vegas (Mooney) This grizzle and tan dog was another balanced and moderate in his construction. He had a lovely head with dark eyes, a keen expression and neat, well placed ears. His reach of neck flowed into a body built on narrow lines, with a good lay of shoulder, straight forelimbs and small neat feet. He was presented in fit condition with a correct double coat, although he could not match the coat and pelt of my winner today. He moved well with purpose and drive. 3 Ravenside Rasputin (Lowry) VD (6,1) 1 Ch Achouffe McKay's Fable of Redesholt (McKay). A seven year old grizzle and tan dog with great ring presence, presented in super condition. He had a strong, masculine head, with dark eye and lovely expression. His neck flowed into a level topline, with a strong loin and well set tail. He was spannable, with his ribs extending well back and correct hind leg angulation. He moved with purpose and a good reach of stride. I was pleased to award him BVIB. 2 Mysulan Going Solo JW VW (Baxter) This blue and tan dog, rising eleven years, is an absolute credit to his owner. I have judged him before and love him for type and character. He was a little distracted today, but remained full of energy and a real showman. He had a pleasing head, keen dark eye and full correct bite. A lovely reach of neck flowed into a moderately long body,easily spanned with ribs extending well back. He was well presented in a correct double coat. He moved out positively although I preferred the reach and length of stride of my winner today. 3 Cedarhill Dish Of The Day For Dexlin (Inness) MPB (10,2) 1 Picer Berry Poppins (Pickering). A six month old grizzle bitch, with a lovely feminine head, dark eye, small v-shaped ears and a moderately short, strong muzzle. She had a good reach of neck which flowed into a good lay of shoulder with straight forelimbs and small neat feet. She was narrow and moderately long in the body, with ribs extending well back, and a well set short carrot like tail. She was balanced in profile and on the move, and well presented in a harsh, dense coat. I liked her very much and was pleased to award her BPB. 2 Rockslade Rave Review (Lowe & Miles) An eight month old grizzle and tan puppy of a similar type to my winner. She had an attractive, feminine head and her neck flowed into a deep, narrow and fairly long body. She had a strong loin, her ribs extended well back and her good hind leg angulation allowed her to move out positively. She was presented in a correct double coat. These are two lovely puppies who I am sure could change places on another day. I shall watch their progress with interest. 3 All Good Things From Dawi's Rhapsody (Van De Mars) PB (9,1) 1 - Ardenholm Belle (Swain) A nine and a half month old blue and tan bitch, with a feminine head, dark eye and keen expression. Her neck flowed into a narrow, fairly long body with a lovely level topline and well set tail. Her ribs extended well back and she had good hind leg angulation. She was well presented in a harsh double coat. A lovely confident puppy who showed well and moved positively. 2 Riseburn Rumour On Hobhill (Pickerin) A blue and tan puppy rising eleven months of age, who shared many similar qualities with my winner. She had a feminine head, with a dark eye and keen expression. Her muzzle was strong, although her ears could have been a little smaller. Balanced in her construction, she was narrow throughout with a level topline and well set tail. She had a super harsh double jacket with a loose thick pelt. She showed well and moved out positively. 3 Arunmere Worth The Wait (Hughes) JB (7) 1 Glebeheath Marigold (Guvercin) This grizzle and tan bitch excelled in breed type, balance and moderation. She had a beautiful feminine head and expression. Her reach of neck flowed into a narrow, fairly long body. Her loin was strong and she carried her carrot like tail gaily. Her sound construction enabled her to move with drive and purpose. She was attentive and in harmony with her handler and sparkled with presence in the ring. I have no doubt that she has a very bright future ahead of her. I was pleased to award her the RBCC today. 2 Onziemehurst Ms Pankhurst (Nettle). A well balanced and constructed grizzle and tan bitch that I liked very much. She had a feminine head with a dark eye, keen expression and short, strong muzzle. Her level topline flowed into a strong loin with racy hind quarters and good rear angulation. She moved with drive and purpose. A little short of coat today with her harsh new coat coming through. 3 Ravenside Billow And Breeze Of Redesholt (McKay) YB (6,1) 1 Alcumlow Sip And Swirl JW (Barber). This blue and tan bitch was balanced in her construction and narrow throughout. She had a dark eye with a keen expression, a lovely reach of neck which flowed into a level topline and a strong loin. A good lay of shoulder, racy hind quarters and correct rear angulation enabled her to stride out with purpose. She was well presented in correct double coat. 2 Badgerbeck Little Jeannie At Bluebabel (Yeates) A balanced and moderate grizzle and tan bitch, who had a pleasing head with dark eye and keen expression. She had a level topline, strong loin and carrot like tail which she carried gaily. She moved out soundly. She had a lovely thick pelt with her harsh top coat coming through. 3 Borderrush Riscal Rioja (Hall) NB (8,2) 1 Rockslade Rave Review (Lowe & Miles) 2 Ardenholm Belle (Swain) First in PB. 3 Riseburn Rumour On Hobhill (Pickerin) GB (11,3) Rockslade Rebel Rebel ( Lowe & Miles) A grizzle and tan of lovely type who had ring presence and showed in harmony with her handler. Balanced and of a good size, she had an attractive feminine head with a dark eye, keen expression and neat well placed ears. Her topline was level, with a strong loin and well set carrot like tail which she carried gaily. Moderate in her construction, she moved out positively. Well presented in a harsh coat with close undercoat and a loose pelt. 2 Howthwaite Firedance At Sandyfaulds (Grassie) A blue and tan bitch of good size and type. She had a dark eye, well placed ears, and a short, strong muzzle, although I preferred the head and expression of my winner. Well balanced, her good reach of neck flowed into a level topline, strong loin and well set tail. She had a harsh, dense top coat with close undercoat and loose, thick pelt. She moved well with drive and purpose. 3 Thistlemead Fortuity ( Heeley) PGB (9,2) Arunmere Nighthawk (Miss J Hughes) An attractive blue and tan bitch with a feminine head, dark eye with keen expression and short strong muzzle. A lovely reach of neck flowed into a deep, narrow body, fairly long with her ribs extending well back. Balanced in her construction, she had a good lay of shoulder, straight forelegs and small neat feet. Good rear angulation enabled her to move with drive. Well presented in a harsh dense coat with a thick, loose pelt. She moved true coming and going. 2 Mysulan Byards Lass JW (Baxter). A feminine bitch of good size and type. She had an attractive otter like head with an expressive dark eye, well positioned ears and a strong muzzle. Her reach of neck flowed into a good lay of shoulder and level topline. Racy hind quarters with good angulation enabled her to move out with purpose. Presented in a correct double coat. 3 Borderrush Bean And Gone JW (Hall) LB (19,4) 1 Otterbobs Indeedido (Gilpin) Full of quality, this bitch was a real pleasure to go over. She had a feminine otter like head and was balanced and moderate in her construction. Her lovely reach of neck flowed into a deep narrow and fairly long body. Her ribs were carried well back and her topline was level with a strong loin and short carrot like tail. Racy hind quarters and correct angulation enabled her to move with purpose and drive. Nothing was exaggerated. She was presented in a harsh, dense coat with a thick, loose pelt. It was my pleasure to award her the BCC and Best of Breed today. She was shortlisted in the terrier group, and I understand that subject to RKC confirmation, she has now gained her title. Congratulations! 2 Howthwaite Molly Malone (Barrett) This blue and tan bitch had a feminine head with dark eyes, well placed ears and a short strong muzzle. Her neck flowed into a deep, narrow body, slightly longer than that of my winner, with her ribs carried well back. Her loin was strong and her carrot like tail carried gaily. A real show girl, full of character, she clearly loved being in the ring. She was presented in a harsh coat with loose, thick pelt. She moved out freely. 3 Cromlechs Blueberry Pie (Hamilton) OB (7,1) 1 Raedwulf Moonshine At Tarkaswell JW (Atkinson) A feminine grizzle bitch of good size and full of quality. A pleasing head with a dark eye, keen expression, neat, well placed v-shaped ear and a short, strong muzzle. Balanced and moderate in her construction, she was built on narrow lines. Her reach of neck flowed into a deep, fairly long body with a strong loin and well set tail. She was well presented in a correct double jacket and moved out with drive and purpose. 2 INT/NLD/DEU/BEL/LUX/DK CAN CH Tusneldas House Of Rhapsody Jigsaw BJK24, CIBJK24 ( Van Schaik) A quality grizzle and tan bitch, very well presented in a tight, harsh double jacket. She had a dark eye with keen expression, but a slightly narrower skull and longer muzzle than my winner. Well constructed, she had a good reach of neck flowing into a narrow, moderately long body. Her ribs extended well back, her loin was strong and she had a well set tail. A good lay of shoulder, racy hind quarters and good hind leg angulation enabled her to move true, coming and going with purpose. 3 CH Howthwaite Gaan Divilish (Barrett) VB (8,1) 1 CH Dandyhow Pandora (Irving) This seven year old grizzle and tan bitch was a lovely size, balanced and moderate throughout. She had a dark eye, small neat ear and strong muzzle. Her neck flowed into a good lay of shoulder, with straight forelegs and small,neat feet. Her body was deep, narrow and fairly long with her ribs carried well back. Racy hind quarters and correct hind leg angulation enabled her to move out soundly with drive. A harsh new coat was coming through.BVB 2 Carrock Curiosity JW (Fawcett). This seven and a half year old grizzle bitch was a little larger than my winner but balanced and moderate in her construction. She had a lovely feminine otter like head with a dark eye, well positioned ear and short strong muzzle. Her neck flowed into a deep, narrow and fairly long body, with her ribs carried well back.
