WELSH JUDGE WINDSOR 19

Thank you Windsor for the invitation to judge and to the exhibitors for their entries. It was unfortunate that the ring allocated to Welsh and three other breeds was less than ideal, with a complete absence of grass, it left a rough, hard, uneven surface of earth which caused some issues with a few exhibits when moving.

LD (2, 1)

1 Davies’ Perrisblu The Butler. Typy, mature dog. Whilst up to size, has good proportions and balance, has a strong head, flat skull, medium length of foreface with powerful jaw, eyes small, dark and well set giving keen expression, has fair length of neck, just enough shoulder angulation to short level back with strong loin, has ample depth of chest, rear quarters well muscled with good let down of hock allowing for sound parallel movement. CC.

OD (2)

1 Jones’ Perrisblu The Duke. A workmanlike dog, big enough, has a nicely proportioned head, well placed ears, dark eye, good strength of muzzle, has fair length of neck, straight front, well boned, ample depth of chest with moderate width, body could be slightly shorter coupled but back level with strong quarters, well muscled with just enough angulation. RCC.

2 Robertson’s Tiltser Thunder Bay At Renevis. Presents a balanced picture of correct size, has a well proportioned head with neat well placed ears, good strength of muzzle, fair length of neck to compact short body, well ribbed up, good depth of chest with moderate width legs well boned and straight to excellent round feet, unfortunately the ring conditions affected his movement on the day.

PB (2)

1 Witmond’s Tiltser Busy Being Fabulous. Showy and confident, pleasing head, dark well set eye, good muzzle and bite, has moderate length of neck with good angulation of shoulder, has strong level back, good set on, chest showing good depth for age, front straight, legs well boned to neat feet, moved well in the conditions. BP.

2 Bennett’s Welsh Attitude Oh By Myself At Bolhaus. 6 mths baby taking it all in her stride, has a balanced head, dark eye, ears a little heavy at present, neck is of fair length to short level back, good set on.

JB (2)

1 Graham’s Stanstead Pussy Galore. Very smart, well turned out, has pleasing head and ears, muzzle strong with good bite, straight front, well laid shoulders to level back with good set on, chest developing well for age, covered the ground well on the move, considered for RCC, but not as settled moving for the challenge.

2 O’Connell’s Darwyn’s Lois Lane. Confident showing has a balanced head but eye could be darker, has a strong body, just a little long in back, good depth of chest, tail set ok.

PGB (2)

1 Gatto-Ronchieri’s Tiltser High Society At Solentine. Feminine girl with a lovely harsh coat with rich tan, has nice proportion of head, neat ears, dark well placed eye, fair length of neck, deep chest, good spring of rib, back could be a little firmer, has good bone for her size.

2 Pearce’s Ockingham Black Star. A larger type, but soundly made all through, strong body with level back and well set tail, nicely handled.

OB (4)

1 Vickers’ Yonichi Pistol Raider. A lovely sized bitch who was superbly presented. Her head is flat in skull with moderate width between ears which were well placed and used, cheeks flat, slight stop, eyes dark and well set giving pleasing expression, has an excellent forehand, loved her neckline to long sloping shoulders, ample depth of chest, well ribbed up, level back, tail on top, moved really well both ways on good legs and feet. CC, BOB. Was delighted to see shortlisted in the Group.

2 Spragg’s Westpenn Sugar Mama. Possesses a most typical Welsh head, correct ears, dark eye, ample strength of muzzle, moderate length of neck to short compact body, deep chest, well ribbed up, strong loin, good set on movement not always spot on due no doubt to the conditions. RCC.

3 Hughes & Pearce’s Knowlelion Keep It Secret.
