KC Breed Standard Welsh TC Ch 24 Judge	An entry of 24 Welsh was marred by a number of absentees, I found it a very difficult entry to judge, not finding the quality in general, many breed points missing, for example lack of quality heads, upright in shoulder, poor eyes, many lacking ribbing & body, movement in general very poor, people spend hours trimming dogs, why cant they cut their nails?? Minor Puppy Dog NO ENTRIES Puppy Dog 1st Crabtree's Tedtree Diamond Geezer OK for size, a little thick in back skull, well placed ear OK in eye, correct bite, a little short in neck, a little upright in shoulder, well ribbed body, short loin, coat of good texture, would like more muscle definition, would like him more positive going away, and he was also platting in front movement. Junior Dog 1st William's Tillmonts Rocket Man Top size dog, with a very good head, good head planes, well placed ears, powerful fore face and under jaw, big strong teeth fair length of neck, would like fractionally better shoulders, excellent bone and feet, level top line, well set tail, carried a little gayley, strong well muscled hind quarters, well presented coat and furnishings, dog was full of him self and his aggressive temperament did spoil him at times. CC winner Special Beginners Dog NO ENTRIES Novice Dog 1st Wehrle's Kitesprite Flame Weaver 12 year old dog, a clipped coat, which I understand in his years, he was OK in head, and a good ear, good dentition for his age, narrow through the front, good bone, tall enough dog, level top line, correct tail set, nice angulation of quarters, moved OK for his age, could do with shorter nails. Post Graduate Dog NO ENTRIES Limit Dog 2 entries 1 Abs 1st Vickers & Dams Jodean Jolly Roger Smart looking dog, up to size, good back skull, well placed ears, good fore face, good big nostrils, nice length of neck, ultra short back, correct tail set, stood on well boned legs and feet, nice hind quarters with a nice bend to stifle, short hocks, would like to see this dog in harder condition moved OK presented with a good coat RCC Open Dog 1st Hughes & Smeets' Multi Ch Knowlelion Real Deal A dog of correct size, clean in head, would like better ears, not using his ears well today at all, OK through the shoulder, fair length of neck, level top line, good set on, OK for bone, would like smaller feet, well presented coat, would like to see him with more extension and drive, but a sound mover. Veteran Dog 1st Humphries Penparc Skyfall Nice type of dog correct size, clean in head, not using his ears at all, good length of fore face, OK in neck, would like a little better in shoulder, nice bone, good length of rib, level top line, correct tail set, nice turn of stifle and well let down in hock, would like another pound of condition on this dog, moved away a little close, Ok in front, another with long nails. 2nd Wehrle's Kitesprite Flame Weaver see Novcie Dog Minor Puppy Bitch 1st Vickers & Dams Jodean Aquarius Very pretty youngster, well balanced, good coat, well presented, nice through the head with a good ear, always looking at you right, nice length of neck short back, well made hind quarters with short hocks, well presented, very bouncy when first entered the ring, but she settled down and moved soundly Bitch CC Puppy Bitch ABSENT Junior Bitch 1st Robertson's Cunnings Xee You At Renevis Very fine all through, good head planes, OK in eye, narrow through the front, nice presented coat, of decent colour, would like more hind quarters & more muscle tone, moved away close in rear, OK on the return. 2nd Harrison's Gaelic Rose Good Welsh head and excellent ear, lacked a bit of pigment in nose, nice neck and top line with a good tail set, in tip top coat condition, would like a better tan, in good body weight and spring of rib, moved away close in rear, very wide in front movement. Special Beginners bitch NO ENTRIES Novice Bitch NO ENTRIES Post Graduate Bitch 1st Hughes & Pearce's Knowlelion Queen Bee OK for size, good head, and head planes, good mouth, good fill under the eyes, would like to see the ears a little sharper, nice neck, good through the front OK for bone, in excellent rib and body weight, correct set on, well angulated quarters, and very short in hock, very showy, and moved well, very short of coat today RCC 2nd Jones's Cwnogion Eldra Aur A bigger rangier bitch and 1st fair length of head, untidy in ear, OK in eye, coat of good colour, level top line, longer in back than 1st moved close in the rear, OK in front furnishings need a lot of work. Limit Bitch 1st Harrisons Gaelic Rose See Junior Bitch 2nd Watkin Jones Westpenn Just For You Fine in bone, decent length of head, little upright in shoulder, good coat and colour, that needs more preparation, moves close in rear Open Bitch 1st Robertson Tiltser Americano At Renevis Small bitch, short in leg, Ok in head would like more length, a little full in the eye, good ear set, a little short in neck, straight front, in good body weight, correct tail set, would like more dog behind the tail, moved OK fore and aft but would like more extension and drive, well presented coat, handled well. 2nd Ferguson-Blakeley & Potts Kebulak Devil Woman A better size bitch, OK in head, not using her ears at all, fair length of fore face, would like a stronger under jaw, fair length of neck, good top line, good tail set, in good body weight, nicely presented coat, bitch not co operating with her handler, not standing up and making the most of herself, and not co operating with her handler on the move crabbing. Veteran Bitch 1st Watkin-Jones Little Blossom of the Sky 9 year old veteran, top size bitch, OK in head, good eye, good under jaw and bite, could use her ears better, in good body weight for age, good coat and colour, moved very close in the rear. Welsh TC Ch 24 Judge

An entry of 24 Welsh was marred by a number of absentees, I found it a very difficult entry to judge, not finding the quality in general, many breed points missing, for example lack of quality heads, upright in shoulder, poor eyes, many lacking ribbing & body, movement in general very poor, people spend hours trimming dogs, why cant they cut their nails??

OK for size, a little thick in back skull, well placed ear OK in eye, correct bite, a little short in neck, a little upright in shoulder, well ribbed body, short loin, coat of good texture, would like more muscle definition, would like him more positive going away, and he was also platting in front movement.

Junior Dog

1st William's Tillmonts Rocket Man

Top size dog, with a very good head, good head planes, well placed ears, powerful fore face and under jaw, big strong teeth fair length of neck, would like fractionally better shoulders, excellent bone and feet, level top line, well set tail, carried a little gayley, strong well muscled hind quarters, well presented coat and furnishings, dog was full of him self and his aggressive temperament did spoil him at times. Smart looking dog, up to size, good back skull, well placed ears, good fore face, good big nostrils, nice length of neck, ultra short back, correct tail set, stood on well boned legs and feet, nice hind quarters with a nice bend to stifle, short hocks, would like to see this dog in harder condition moved OK presented with a good coat RCC

A dog of correct size, clean in head, would like better ears, not using his ears well today at all, OK through the shoulder, fair length of neck, level top line, good set on, OK for bone, would like smaller feet, well presented coat, would like to see him with more extension and drive, but a sound mover.

Very fine all through, good head planes, OK in eye, narrow through the front, nice presented coat, of decent colour, would like more hind quarters & more muscle tone, moved away close in rear, OK on the return.

2nd Harrison's Gaelic Rose

Good Welsh head and excellent ear, lacked a bit of pigment in nose, nice neck and top line with a good tail set, in tip top coat condition, would like a better tan, in good body weight and spring of rib, moved away close in rear, very wide in front movement.

2nd Jones's Cwnogion Eldra Aur

A bigger rangier bitch and 1st fair length of head, untidy in ear, OK in eye, coat of good colour, level top line, longer in back than 1st moved close in the rear, OK in front furnishings need a lot of work.

9 year old veteran, top size bitch, OK in head, good eye, good under jaw and bite, could use her ears better, in good body weight for age, good coat and colour, moved very close in the rear.
