WELSH JUDGE SOUTH WALES 24

Thank you to my stewards Heidi Thomas & Allan Roberts, great to work with them. Not a large entry but great quality throughout, all on the tips of their toes in anticipation as a Terrier should be.

OD (3:1)

1 Cole’s Ch Perrisblu The Phantom 2 yrs, Best Male, BOB. Excellent head, flat skull, strong jaw, dark eye with a glint in it, V shaped ears, true front, straight legs, and small feet. Strong neck, high set withers flowing onto firm topline. Chest to elbows with good depth, high set tail carried up at 12 O’clock. Moves with purpose, true coming and going. Good wire coat. Black with very dark tan colouring. Pleased to see him go 3rd in the Terrier Group.

2 O’Connell’s Darwyn The Best Is Yet to Come (Imp Can) 5yrs, Res Best Male. Smart dog, good head, flat skull, strong jaw, scissor bite, dark pigmentation, excellent ears, muzzle appears a little heavy. Strong neck of correct length, well laid-back shoulders, flowing into level firm topline. Legs well placed under dog, straight with cat-like feet, black nails. High set long tail, carried up standing and, on the move, plenty of dog behind the tail. Moves straight on the tip of his toes. Hard wiry coat, close. Black and tan in colour.

JB (2:0)

1 Cole’s Perrisblu Queen of Dreams 11mths, Best Puppy, Best Female. A very pleasing youngster, who was quite a handful to show. Feminine head, flat skull, strong jaw, scissor bite. Dark eyes & pigmentation, ears V shaped, set on high, carried forward close to head. Nice flow of neck onto level topline with high set tail carried at 12 o’clock. Correct angulation. Moves true with brisk action. Harsh coat developing well for age. Black and dark tan in colour.

2 Harrison’s Gaelic Rose 16mths, Correct head to body proportions, flat skull with width between the ears. Dark eyes & pigmentation. Would like ears a little higher set. Scissor bite, black nose. Stands a little wide in front, shoulders should have more slope, this shows in movement coming towards you. Rise up to high set tail carried up at 12o’clock. Plenty of dog behind the tail. Wiry coat, black grizzle, and tan colouring.

PGB (2:1)

1 Williams Cwmcoch Pollypocket 6yrs, Res Best Female. A nice mature female on the tip of her toes. Flat skull, would like ears a little closer together, correctly folded and held against cheeks. Strong jaw, scissor bite, dark pigmentation. Straight legs good lay of shoulder. Well ribbed body, firm topline, correct set of tail carried erect but a little over back. Plenty behind the tail. Excellent wiry coat. Black and Tan in colour.
