Welsh Terriers

PD (3,2a)

1 Connell’s Sonorra Blazing Hot, nicely balanced puppy with pleasing head & expression, fair reach of neck, well laid shoulders, short back, well ribbed up, good set on, harsh coat. Just a little unsettled on the move today.

JD (2,1)

1 Roe’s Dezrez Keep On Running, nice for size, 11 months puppy. Has a well proportioned head, dark eye. Inclined to be a little lazy with his ears. Fair length of neck, straight front, moderate width of chest, well set & carried tail, muscular quarters, moved well both ways. BP.

LD (2)

1 Witmond’s Boowire Ignite My Fire at Tiltser, quality dog giving away a little in maturity. Possesses a really typical Welsh head, lovely expression, clean front, well angulated shoulders, moderate width of chest, very good legs & feet, chest developing well, strong loin, muscular thighs, hocks well let down giving good drive in action. RCC;

2 Ashton’s Red Kite to Kitasprite, nice type with typical expression although rather strong in skull. Has affair length of neck, short coupled body with good set on, sound on the move.

OD (2)

1 Potts’ Ir Ch Kebulak Trigger Happy, a mature dog of nice size, balanced head, flat skull, powerful jaw, used ears to advantage. Just enough neck. Would prefer more layback of shoulder. Deep chest, short back, well ribbed up, good set on, sound on the move. CC;

2 Hughes & Pearce’s Demorner Hats Off, short coupled with balanced head. Ears a little heavy. Good depth of chest, well ribbed up, good set on, strong quarters, in good coat.

VD (0).

PB (1)

1 Robertson’s Renevis Rhapsody, promising puppy with pleasing head, well placed ears, dark eye giving keen expression, moderate neck, short back, good depth of chest, well set tail although a little gay in carriage at present. Moved well.

JB (3,2)

1 Nicholson’s Rickarton Fancy That, nicely presented, in good coat, fair length of head although ears rather unsettled today. Pleasing front with good depth of chest. Would prefer shorter back. Good set on.

LB (2,1)

1 Vickers’ Ellenside Maid In Chelsea, this is such an honest exhibit, not flashy, just a typical Welsh. Possesses a lovely head of correct proportions, well placed & carried ears, dark eye giving keen expression, fair length of neck, moderate width of chest, short back, well ribbed up, good set on, coat of harsh texture, excellent movement. CC & BOB.

OB (7,2)

1 Hayakawa’s Jap Charleston Jp Xanadu another of correct type with balanced head, small dark eye. Would like to see more movement in ears. Good neck & front, deep chest, short back, good tailset, well muscled quarters used to advantage on the move. RCC;

2 Potts’ Kebulak Femme Fatale, a glamorous exhibit but too Fox Terrier in type. Long narrow head, ears too high set & carried. Long neck, straight front, good depth of chest but not the body or rib expected. Has a good set on. Movement unsettled today; 3 Barney’s Verrami Jus Toff.
