WELSH NATIONAL TERRIER 23 Judge: Mr N Connell WELSH JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 23 Thanks to the National terrier club for their invitation to judge Welsh terriers at this special show for Terrier people. Special thanks to the exhibitors for the good entry in these current times. 1 Cooper, Prince Chuck Torosyan. A decent type who has a good head and expression, level topline and correctly constructed in his front and hind quarters. He was presented in good condition and moved true both ways when settled. 2 Davies, Diamond Crown. Pretty headed bitch who has a straight front, but would prefer more lay back of shoulder. Level topline and good quarters. 3 Watkin-Jones, Westpenn Just For You. 1 Averis & Barker, - Saredon Heritage. Decent head and expression, correctly angulated in front and quarters, level top line and presented in 1st class order. He moved true both fore and aft, but I would like more of him all over. 2 Roe, Dezrez Say You Say Me. A nice size who has a typical head and expression, level topline with a good tail set. He has a good front assembly and a good turn of stifle, although he has sickle hocks and moves close behind. 1 Nitka & Schmid, Omar vom Granitfelsen. A decent length of head, but a tad heavy in back skull and his ears are a tad big which impedes his expression. He has a good front assembly and correctly angulated quarters, level topline and was presented in good order. Moved true both fore and aft. 2 Cooper, Prince Chuck Torosyan. 1 Roe, Dezrez Prodigal Son. Super head and expression and enough neck into a good front assembly. He is a tad slack in his topline and he has a good tail set. He moved soundly in front. 2 O’Connell, Darwyn The Best Is Yet Come. Decent length of head, but a little heavy in back skull and his shoulders could be more laid back. He has a level top line and super quarters. 1 Davani & Potts, Kebulak Black Orpheus. This male is correctly balanced and was extremely sound both fore and aft, with correct footfall when viewed from side profile. He has a typical head, although more furnishings would complete the picture. His front and rear assembly are correctly angulated and he holds a level top line standing and moving. He was presented in pristine condition and deserved the CC. 2 Smeets & Hughes, NL Ch Knowlelion Real Deal. The best head in the entry today as it is so typical and balanced with a characteristic expression. He has enough neck into a super front assembly, level top line and correctly angulated quarters. He has plenty of bone and substance without appearing coarse and he was presented in super condition. I have seen him show better as he appeared a little lethargic today, although his qualities could not be denied. RCC. 3 Robertson, Renevis Rollercoaster. 1 Orton, Tiltser Goldfinger. 8 ½ year old male who was presented in good condition. He has a typical head and expression, nicely constructed front assembly, level topline and moved true in front. 1 O’Connell, Letoha, Unforgettable Anna. Typical outline with a decent head and expression, good front angulation, level topline and well developed quarters for her age. She was presented in good order and showed well, she just needs to mature and tighten in her front as expected at this age. 1 Young & McCluskey, London Baby from Michel at Chadbrook NAF. Good length of head and enough neck into correctly placed shoulders, level topline and correctly angulated quarters. Moved soundly both ways, BPIB. 2 Watkin-Jones, Westpenn Just For You. This puppy could have won the class if she would have settled and allowed me to assess her movement. She has a lovely head with a typical expression, enough neck into a good front assembly, straight front, level topline and correctly angulated quarters. 1 Spragg & Westpenn, Seven Stars. Super head and expression and a text book front assembly, level topline and nicely angulated quarters. She was presented in super condition and moved true in front. 2 Davies, Diamond Crown 1 O’Connell & Hotchin, Knowlelion Skys The Limit. Very typical bitch of a good type and well balanced. She has a lovely head and expression, level topline and good angles front and back. She was presented in super condition and moved soundly both fore and aft and covered the ground effortlessly when viewed from side profile. She was considered for top honours. 2 Ashton, Knowlelion Queenie with Kitesprite. Decent headed bitch, with enough neck into a good front assembly, level topline and angulated quarters. Showed well and she was in between jackets on the day. 1 Annus, Monaline Unicum. A balanced and typical bitch who was presented to the minute with not one hair out of place. She has a beautiful head with correctly placed ears and eyes of a desired size and shape, culminating in a typical expression. Enough neck into a text book front assembly that mirrors her correctly angulated quarters. She holds her top line standing and on the move and was foot perfect in front and rear movement. Pleased to award her the CC & BOB. 2 Averis & Barker, Saredon Amazonian Princess. Another lovely bitch who has a typical head and expression. Correctly angulated front and rear with a good tail set. She is extremely sound both fore and aft and covers the ground when viewed from side profile. RCC. 1 Watkin-Jones, Llanisbury Little Blossom Of The Sky. Eight years of age and all credit to her owner who has her in super condition. She has a decent length of head, level top line and well turned quarters. Moved true in front. |
