WELSH LEEDS 12 Judge: Mr Nick Connell BEST OF BREED : 8248 WITMOND Miss A Tiltser the Highlander WELSH JUDGE LEEDS 12 Welsh Terriers PD (1) 1 Byrne & Vicker’s Jodean Jagger Moves, very nice balanced puppy with good mouth, typical head, well placed eyes & ears giving a true expression, correct front assembly, level topline & a well set tail, moves very soundly in front & covers the ground when viewed from side profile, presented & handled to a high standard. RCC & BP. JD (1) 1 Halliwell’s Wigmore April Imp, well boned male with substance, decent head with well placed ears, level topline & excellent quarters which are well developed, moved very soundly in front & in first-class order. Would prefer a more definitive neck line to make him appear more balanced. PGD (1) A. LD (1) 1 Heath’s Cannyyatton Hot Shot for Jolliver, dark eye, good mouth but too heavy in head. Strong straight forelegs & good feet, level topline & well muscled quarters. Moving soundly behind but too wide in front. OD (2) 1 Witmond’s Tiltser The Highlander, super headed with correct expression which is so typical of the breed, lovely neck into well laid back shoulders, good front assembly, level topline, good spring of rib & short coupled, correctly angulated quarters which are extremely well muscled, moved very soundly both fore & aft & effortlessly in side profile. CC & BOB; 2 Averis & See’s Am Ch Seebest Avenger, good mouth, nice length of neck, level topline with well muscled quarters, presented & handled to an excellent standard. I thought his head & expression were untypical & he didn’t have the front angulations of 1. VD (0). PB (2) 1 Spragg’s Westpenn Merry Go Round, typical headed with correctly placed eyes & ears, well laid back shoulders, level topline & well angulated quarters, moved soundly in front & in very good order. JB (3) 1 Varley & Colclough’s Shumand Storybook, head OK with good mouth & expression, enough neck into laid back shoulders, level topline & well muscled quarters, moved true in front. PGB (1) 1 Lester’s Saredon Princess Pam, decent headed with a typical expression, straight front, level topline, good spring of rib & well developed quarters, in good order, moved soundly both fore & aft. LB (1) 1 Ashton’s Jolliver The Lady In Red at Kitesprite, good mouth, nicely placed shoulders, level topline & a good tailset, moved close in front & too wide behind. OB (3) 1 Vickers, Byrne & Punter’s Saredon Dark Calling over Eskwyre, decent headed with correctly placed eyes & ears, good front assembly, level topline & well muscled quarters, moved soundly behind, in immaculate condition & handled to an excellent standard. CC; 2 Booton’s Boowire Mandarin Sunset, fabulous headed with correctly placed eyes & ears giving a true expression, enough neck into well placed shoulders, short coupled with a good tailset & well angulated quarters. I have seen this bitch look in better condition in the past as here was carrying far too much weight which attributed to her losing her topline & appearing wide in front. RCC. NICK CONNELL |
