WELSH LEEDS 09 Judge: Mr Brian Rodgers WELSH JUDGE LEEDS 09 Welsh Terriers PD (3) 1 Halliwell’s Wigmore the One And Only, very mature puppy, short coupled, very good mover, in good coat of good colour, good Welsh head, well handled & showed his head off. BP; 2 Pickering’s Cannyyatton Hot Shot for Jolliver, one for the future. Not as mature as 1. Good neck & shoulders, good coat & in good condition; 3 Robertson’s Felstead Funny Fellow at Renevis. JD (2) 1 Scawthorn & Day’s Saredon Fourth Of July, correct size, great mover, in top class coat & condition, good Welsh head, nice ears, lovely neck & shoulders. With maturity will make the grade. RCC; 2 Connell’s Sonorra Gorgeous George, would like a size bigger for a dog. In good coat & colour, balanced, good expression, good presentation & handled well. PGD (0). LD (1) A. OD (2,1) 1 Templeton’s Rickarton Vital Spark, great typical Welsh expression, good head & ears, lovely neck into good shoulders, moved well with handler, good coat & colour. CC & BOB. PB (2) A. JB (3) 1 Griffiths’ Wigmore Daybreak at Starland, very typical of the breed, nice expression, good neck & shoulders, tail well set, in good coat & condition, well presented, handled well; 2 Glover-Byrne’s Jodean Maggie May, very nice type, in excellent coat & condition, good colour, balanced, nice head & ears. Needs a lot more training on the lead for a show dog; 3 Clark’s Cumbrhondd Band Of Gold. PGB (4,2) 1 Spragg’s Saredon Delta Dawn, lovely bitch, good neck & shoulders, good tailset & carriage, moved straight & true. Spoilt herself on the lead. Needs more training; 2 Hughes’ Knowlelion Almighty Martha, her expression was spoilt by her ears. In good coat & colour, nice head but spoilt by ears, lovely neck & shoulders, handled & moved OK. LB (5,2) 1 Connell’s Sonorra Tilly Trollop, this one will be a champion. I liked her a lot for her size & balance, good head & expression, good neck & shoulders, presentation A1, moved & handled very well, very close when it came to the CC. RCC; 2 Hughes’ Felstead Foxy Lady, not a bad bitch but one I feel with a bit of help could make a nice show bitch. Nice head, moved straight. Coat needs attention & more furnishings on hind legs would help; 3 Robertson’s Nogard New Moon at Renevis. OB (1) 1 Barney’s Romaunt Dotco Dot You Kay at Verrami, very nice type of Welsh bitch, liked her for her balance & size, good coat & colour, good head, correct expression, good neck & shoulders, good set-on, good mouth, nice big teeth.
