WELSH CRUFTS 12 Welsh Terrier Judge(s): MR D M SCAWTHORN WELSH TERRIER SpJD (1) 1 Varey's Sonorra Charlie Brown. A good type, good forehand and a good reach of neck. Level topline, tail on top. Good quarters, tight coat and well presented. Moved well both ways. PGD (3) 1 Pearce and Hughes' Dermorner Hats Off. Good all round dog, nice expression and a clean head with plenty of reach in neck. Well placed shoulders, good topline. Moved soundly and was well presented. 2 Draper's Russtam Simply A Prince. Well presented, good coat and colour. Moved close behind and a little strong in head. 3 Williams' So What Valucis. LD (5) 1 Witmond's Tiltser the Highlander. Up to size, good head, neck and shoulders. Nice topline, tail on top. Strong quarters and he moved ok both ways. Well presented. 2 Connell's Sonorra Randy Andy. Nice head and a good topline and tailset. Strong quarters, moved well going away, but pins in front coming towards you. Well presented, would prefer a smaller ear. 3 Williams' Taicligh Star Trooper. Res Heath's Cannyyatton Hot Shot for Jolliver. OD (3) 1 Gothel and Houben's Heinerle Von Der Hohen Flur. A nice sized dog of good proportions. Good head and ear placement. Good front with a nice reach of neck, running into well laid shoulders. Short back with tail on top. Good quarters, moved well and with purpose and was well presented. CC. 2 Krautscheid's Nagant from Michel. A good type, up to size with a nice head and ears. Good reach of neck, level topline and a good tailset. Moved and showed ok. Good presentation, Res CC. 3 Robertson's Ch Felstead Funny Fellow at Renevis Sh CM. Vet B (1) 1 Trapeznikova's Rus Lit Blr Int Ch Ketcher Traiv Irka. A 7 year old bitch. Feminine head and expression, good topline and coat. Sound mover, good presentation and a credit to her owner. SpPB (2) 1 Allen and Poole's Sonorra Miss Mischief at Penparc. A puppy with promise. Clean head and a good expression. Short back, tail on top. Moved well both ways. Best Puppy. 2 Winn's Russtam Princess Holly. Nice puppy, good coat and colour. Needs time and training, but that will come. SpJB (4,1) 1 Cassidy's Alokin at Sunrise. A smart young bitch in good order. Nice head and ears, good reach of neck and clean shoulders. Good topline and tailset, moved and showed well. Good presentation. 2 Gatto-Ronchieri's Solentine Say It Again. Typy bitch, clean in head and using ears to give a good expression. Good topline and tailset. Moved ok in front but hind movement close. 3 Graham's Sonorra Burlesque Brenda. PGB (4) 1 Avveduti's Cunnings Hey Jude. A classy bitch in good condition. Nice head and expression and a good reach of neck. Level topline, good tailset and she moved well in front, a little weak behind and needs to strengthen. Well presented. 2 Connell's Sonorra Slap Happy. A cobby bitch with a good head but heavy in ears, spoiling expression. Good topline and tailset, moved ok. 3 Humphries' Felstead Floral Beauty. Res Jones' Mokath My Jinny. LB (5) 1 Pearce and Hughes' Knowlelion Bertha Brain Box. A quality bitch, nice head with true expression, good ears. Good neck, shoulders and topline, short tail on top. Moved well both ways and was well presented. Res CC. 2 Williams' Saredon High Voltage. A good bitch standing, good head and neck and a good topline and tailset, but not getting it together on the move. 3 Griffiths and Pesci-Griffiths' Dobelands Ebonylace of Rhydri. Res Ashton's Jolliver Celtic Flame. OB (4,1) 1 Poole's Alokin August Morning. Bitch of nice size, good length of head and well placed ears, giving a nice expression. Good reach of neck and level topline. Good quarters and moved well when settled. Well presented. CC and BOB. 2 Pearce and Hughes' Knowlelion Calamity Jane. A classy bitch in good order. Nice head and ears, good topline and tail set on top. Moved ok behind but wobbles in front. 3 Huszar and Denk's Nadine from Michel. D M Scawthorn |
