1. Ashton’s Kitesprite Myrlyns Magic. 20 mth old lad who has so much to like. He presented a well balanced outline with slightly arched neck of medium length, short firm back, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail well set on. Quality head with flat skull of moderate breadth between his well set ears, dark expressive eyes, powerful muzzle of good depth, correct dentition and nice furnishings. Moving well in profile with good self carriage, nice and firm when going away, just a fraction wider coming at you but nothing untoward. Hard, wiry jacket and very well presented. Reserve Best Dog.

1. Jones’ Perrisblu The Duke. Quality 3 yr old who was so good to go over. He pleased for size, balance and type and was presented in such good order. Moderate length of neck, nice short back, deep brisket, ribbed well back, short muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with flat skull of moderate width, excellent eye and ear, powerful muzzle and correct scissor bite. He stands well in front on cat-like feet, elbows close to the body and firm, muscular hindquarters with well let down hocks. Moving true fore and aft. Quality coat of excellent texture. Initially thought he would be my BOB but just felt he was rather flat in the challenge and not quite as good on the go around as the bitch. Best Dog.

1. Hughes, De-Munter & Sinclair’s Knowlelion Sassy Boots. Two quite different bitches challenged here but both of quality. The winner was this 12½ mth old. Compact girl who was a delight to go over. Feminine all through, she presented a well-balanced outline with slightly arched neck of moderate length, nice short back, super ribbing, good depth to chest, short muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Quality head with keen expression; moderate breadth to her flat skull, excellent eye and ear, powerful muzzle of good depth and correct dentition. Hard, wiry coat and shown in excellent condition. Moving so well in profile, making the most of herself as she goes, not dead on coming towards but nice and firm behind. Best Bitch & BOB.
2. Ashton’s Knowlelion Queenie with Kitesprite. 16 mth girl out of a slightly larger mould than 1. She also presents a well-balanced, compact outline with moderate length of neck, short firm back, deep brisket, ribcage extending well back and nicely sprung, short loin and tail set well on. Strong, yet feminine headpiece with flat skull, minimal stop, dark but slightly larger eye, ears of good set and correct scissor bite. Good angles front and rear, standing straight in front on correct feet and firm, muscular rear with well let down hocks. Moving soundly all through. Coat stripped out and therefore lacking texture right now. Reserve Best Bitch.
