WELSH JUDGE BLACKPOOL 19

This was a most enjoyable judging assignment as the Welsh entry was of good quality with some superb youngsters coming along. There can be nothing more exciting than to find a new star in the making which is exactly what I did. My CC and BOB winner, Perrisblu The Butler, 12 mths old, just took my breath away. He is a proper Welsh, not a black/tan Wire Fox Terrier; the best I have seen in years. He never took a wrong step, moved so soundly and showed his head off. Definitely one to watch at top level as he really has got what it takes to go all the way.

LD (3, 1)

1 CC & BOB, Davies’ Perrisblu The Butler. What a cracker! Very finished looking for such a youngster, lovely head and eyes, well carried ears, good tail set and carriage, well fitting coat, top quality, beautifully presented and handled.

2 Roe’s Dezrez Silver Machine. 2 yrs, very smart, clean and well turned out, attractive head, keen expression, fit body, hind action a bit erratic but showed non stop.

OD (3)

1 & RCC, Robertson’s Tiltser Thunder Bay At Renevis. 21 mths, comfortable winner for me, excellent coat, condition and presentation, bright, intelligent expression, firm body, good tail set, moved and showed quite well, plenty behind the tail.

2 Roe’s Dezrez Keep On Running. 5 yrs, lean and fit, well coated and presented, good type, typical head, hind movement could be better.

3 Jones’ Perrisblu The Duke.

PB (4)

1 & BP, Witmond’s Tiltser Busy Being Fabulous. Just 6 mths, shapely puppy with very good tail set and carriage, clean outline, feminine head, good coat texture, keen showgirl, went well. Promising.

2 Robertson’s Renevis Rumour Has It. Also 6 mths, quality head and expression, very good body and coat, moved and showed ok, not the tail set of first.

3 Bennett’s Welsh Attitude Oh By Myself At Bolhaus.

JB (1)

1 & Best Junior, Graham’s Stanstead Pussy Galore. 14 mths, excellent type and size, full of the joys of spring, keen and interested in everything around her, typical head, keen eyes, very showy and focused, handled to advantage, good coat and presentation.

LB (1)

1 & CC, Vickers’ Yonichi Pistol Raider. 2 yrs, very good bitch in excellent form, clean outline and proportions, quality head, expressive eyes, beautifully turned out, very well presented coat, showed non stop, moved well once she got into her stride. Fully deserved the CC.

OB (3)

1 & RCC, Hughes & Pearce’s Knowlelion Midnight Sky. 3 yrs, quality bitch, looking very well, hard coat, attractive head, firm fit body, good silhouette, well muscled quarters, moved and showed ok.

2 Hughes & Pearce’s Knowlelion Keep It Secret. Not the coat texture of first but I liked her head, good bone, moved well, good tail set and carriage, showed and handled well.

3 Spragg’s Westpenn Sugar Mama.
