WELSH BLACKPOOL 13 Judge(s): MRS SONIA CONNELL Welsh Terriers PD (1) 1 Ashton’s Kitesprite Dreamstalker, good mouth & earset, enough neck into well placed shoulders, level topline, moved well behind, very well handled & presented. LD (1) 1 Hughes & Pearce’s Demorner Hats Off, well balanced dog with a typical head & expression, enough neck into well laid back shoulders, level topline with a well set tail, moved soundly both fore & aft & in good order. RCC. OD (3) 1 Byrne & Vickers’ Jodean Jagger Moves, lovely typical head with nicely placed eyes & ears, well laidback shoulders & very clean in front, level topline with a good tailset, well developed quarters & in excellent condition, moved soundly covering the ground. CC. Lost out to bitch for BOB as he was not as compact as her; 2 Chong & Wong’s Mal/Th Ch Aman Raider Of The Lost Ark, decent head with a good eye & typical expression, enough neck into a good front assembly, level topline with a good tailset, moved soundly both ways & in good order. PB (2) 1 Varey’s Knowlelion Hocus Pocus, typical head which is clean & of a good length, well placed eyes & ears, nice neck & shoulders, level topline & well muscled quarters, moved well in front. BP; 2 Hughes’ Cwmniaeth Coffi Hufen at Mokath, good mouth, plenty of bone, well sprung ribs, moved well behind. PGB (3) 1 Evans’ Pendevour Silhouette, typical bitch with a lovely head, & eye & ear placement, enough neck into well laid shoulders, level topline & a good spring of rib, well angulated quarters which are well muscled, in very good condition & moved soundly both fore & aft. RCC; 2 Spragg’s Westpenn Merry Go Round, good length of head with nicely set eyes & ears, well laid back shoulders, level topline & real hammy quarters. Moved soundly both ways but was too masculine for me; 3 Ashton’s Kitesprite Flights Of Fancy. OB (3) 1 Averis’ Jap Ch Saredon All Time High, lovely bitch who is extremely well balanced & so typical in make & shape, lovely head with textbook eye & ear placement giving a true expression, clean neck into well laid back shoulders, level topline, short coupled with a great tailset, strong well angulated quarters which he uses to drive effortlessly around, moved soundly both fore & aft & in beautiful order. CC & BOB; 2 Hughes & Pearce’s Knowlelion Bertha Brainbox, a bitch I have admired from the ringside. Lovely head pattern with well set eyes & ears, good front assembly, level topline, well angulated quarters & moved soundly both ways. Not very enthusiastic here & I have seen her perform better.
