WELSH BLACKPOOL 11 Judge(s) NORINA EVANS BD CH SONORRA PERCY PIMP (MR N & MRS S CONNELL) Welsh Terriers PD 1 Averis & Scawthorn’s Saredon Prince Of Darkness, smart young dog, good coat & colour, good head & ears, nice reach & shoulders, level topline, tail on top, good quarters, moved well. Needs to mature in body to complete the picture but deserved RCC; 2 Roe’s Dezrez Master Of Reality, good head & expression, nice type, good coat, correct set on & rear angulation, moved OK; 3 Varey’s Sonorra Charlie Brown. PGD 1 Heath’s Cannyyatton Hot Shot of Jolliver, nice type, head OK, short back, strong quarters, moved OK; 2 Duggan’s Leadstaff Cut Loose Bruce for Ellanvolley, heavy type, would like leaner head, coat & colour would be better if hand striped. Moved OK. LD 1 Maughan’s Brocolitia Dark Secret, good Welsh type, excellent head & expression, good neck & shoulders, nice depth & ribcage, level topline, strong quarters, excellent coat & colour. Did not move too well, decided to be a naughty boy & gave his owner a hard time; 2 L Cut Loose Bruce for E. OD 1 Connell’s Ch Sonorra Percy Pimp, lovely Welsh type, very good head, ears & dark eye giving typical expression, lovely neck into good lay back of shoulders, deep chest & straight front with lovely bone, level short coupled topline, tail on top, strong well muscled quarters & good angulation, excellent presentation, excellent coat texture & colour, moved & showed well, worthy champion. CC, BOB & G4. PB 1 Connell’s Sonorra Happy Slapper, what a cracker, excellent Welsh type, feminine clean head, good ear carriage, dark eye, lovely expression, good shoulders & front, good bone, short coupled level topline, well angulated quarters with tail on top, good coat & colour, excellent presentation, moved soundly, should have a good future. CC, BP & PG3; 2 Averis & Scawthorn’s Saredon Black Pearl, another very promising puppy. Not quite as mature in body as 1. PGB 1 Ashton’s Jolliver Celtic Flame, nice type, good head, used her ears to advantage, level topline, moved OK; 2 Humphries’ Felstead Floral Beauty, lacked overall quality, did not use her ears to advantage. Moved OK. Not the rear angulation of 1. LB 1 Humphries’ Leadstaff Morwenna, good type, nice head. Ears could be better. Good coat, moved OK. OB 1 Spragg’s Saredon Delta Dawn, good honest Welsh type, excellent front & bone, good head & ears, nice small eye giving good expression, short coupled with good depth, coat & colour good, moved well. RCC; 2 Hughes’ Ir Ch Knowlelion Almighty Marther, nice type, short back, good set on, moved well. Preferred head of 1. NORINA EVANS |
