WELSH BLACKPOOL 10 Judge: Mr Andrew H Brace WELSH JUDGE BLACKPOOL 10 Welsh Terriers An excellent entry considering that there was a single CC available – I wonder when the ‘trial period’ for this, in my opinion, most unfair phenomenon is likely to come to an end? JD (1) 1 Connell’s Sonorra Percy Pimp, 12 months & all dog, masculine head, clean & with typical expression, really good solid body, ample neck, tight crisp jacket & he has excellent angles & set-on, set up has an excellent outline. Just needs to settle on the move but he is very young. Should make up easily. RCC. PGD (1) 1 Williams’ Valucis Vitally Sparky, 12 months, happy & outgoing, balanced head, typical eye. Coat could be in better order. Well boned, ribbed & compact. Could be more settled on the move. LD (1) 1 Barney’s Romaunt Chicago Outfit, feisty 12 months & rather rangy at the moment, masculine head, keen eye, clean neck. Could flow a little more smoothly from neck into shoulder & topline needs to firm up. Eventually settled to move steadily with sympathetic & good humoured handling. In excellent muscular condition. OD (4) 1 Scawthorn & Day’s Saredon Fourth Of July, well balanced & essentially typical all through, excellent head & expression, good neck & forehand, compact body with good angles front & back, well ribbed, firm backline, tail on top, excellent jacket very well presented. CC, his third, & BOB; 2 Halliwell’s Wigmore The One And Only, strong head, a little longer coupled than 1 & not quite the initial impact of overall picture or as finished in coat. Moved quite soundly; 3 Robertson’s Felstead Funny Fellow at Renevis. JB (5,1) 1 Poole’s Boowire Sunrise of Alokin, smart & well coated, excellent head & expression, clean neck, moderate angles, firm backline. Needs to tighten in front. RBB; 2 Barney’s Romaunt Craic Attack, 12 months, not quite the head & expression of 1 & needs more body condition. Very well balanced outline, smart & full of attitude, moves true but has a tendency to high step; 3 Humphries’ Felstead Floral Beauty. PGB (3,1) 1 Heath’s Cannyyatton Sweet Lilli, well presented, lovely head & eye, well balanced outline, steady temperament, moves rather close behind; 2 Rundle’s Felstead Fair Delighted, good head type, well balanced outline could be more coordinated on the move & coat was not at its best. LB (3) 1 Spragg’s Saredon Delta Dawn, neatly trimmed & very well balanced with excellent head & expression & really on her toes, necky, steady & animated mover. On the stack she can slacken a little in topline but pulls herself together so well on the move. BB; 2 Humphries’ Leadstaffs Morwenna, heavier all through than 1 so loses a little balance but is of excellent basic type. Good head type but not using her eyes to advantage as 1. Sound enough on the move; 3 Rundle’s Felstead Fair Delighted. OB (2) 1 Roe’s Dezrez Teenage Kicks, typy, well balanced & of good basic shape, sound enough with decent head type. Just not quite as on her toes as the winning bitches; 2 Hughes’ Knowlelion Almighty Martha, very vocal & a total handful for her handler, highly spirited she did not want to cooperate at all, excellent overall type, shape & size, when she is concentrating & her movement is not all over the place can do a lot better.
