WELSH JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 19
Many thanks for the Society for asking me to judge The National as my first appointment.
PD
1st – Davis`s Perrisblu The Butler, 11 mths, what a lovely youngster, good typical welsh head, good eye, nice ear set giving correct expression, clean straight front, good shoulders, topline and tailset, moved sound both ways. Shown in immaculate condition. I loved him. DCC, BOB & G2,PG1.
2nd Evan`s Too Darn Hot at Pendevour, 10 mths, decent head and ears, good shoulders, ultra short back and the best tailset. Needs to settle on the move and would like him bigger at this age.
PGD
1st- Bennett`s Tough Cookie at Bolhaus, 6yrs, would like a cleaner head and ears are off his head, shoulders ok and level topline. Coat was ok but would benefit from closer trimming, moved ok in front.
LD
1st – Robertson`s Tiltser Thunder Bay at Renevis, 18mths, nice head, eye and ears, super expression, clean front, shoulders ok, nice topline and tailset, moved soundly. Whilst in lovely condition, I feel he would be better shown in more jacket and for him not to move whilst looking at his handler, spoils the picture.
OD
1st – Bradley`s Aman The Prince of Wales, 18mths, nice head and eye giving sharp expression, nice front, shoulders ok, and great tailset. Moved and showed very well, in lovely condition. Just not enough of him for me.
2nd Jones`s Perrisblu the Duke, not the head of the winner, ears a little heavy, good shoulders, and tailset, carrying too much weight today and a little too much coat.
MPB
1st – Witmond`s Tiltser Busy Being Fabulous, 6 mths baby, pretty head and expression, nice front, shoulders, level topline, showed really well in a very noisy hall, moved well, everything there, just needs to grow up.
2nd Ashton`s Knowlelion Queenie with Kitesprite, 8mths, good length of head, nice eye, ears unsettled, clean front, decent shoulders and nice topline and tailset, moved ok, just needs to mature.
PB
1st – Athey`s Arawak Lady Lucaya, 10mths, typical welsh head, ears unsettled, clean front, nice topline, moved ok in front, close behind.
JB
1st – Graham`s Stanstead Pussy Galore, 14mths, Clean head, lovely ears, pretty expression, clean front, nice shoulders and level topline, good tailset, another that just needs to mature, very raw, shown in lovely coat, moved sound.
PGB
1st – Watkin-Jones`s Little Blossom of the Sky, 4yrs, good length of head, low ear set, heavy throughout, moved ok in front, weak behind, top size.
2nd – Ashton`s Jymelhia Princess Consuela Kitesprite, 2yrs, lovely head and ears, nice front, little upright, level topline, jacket a little short of coat, moved very close behind.
LB
1st - Spragg`s Westpenn Sugar Mama, 2yrs, nice head and ears, good eye, giving a sharp expression, nice front, topline and super tailset. Moved well, little close behind. Little short of coat today and not quite enough of her for me. Showed really well. RCC
OB
1st – Young & Pott`s Kebulak She Devil, 3yrs, nice welsh head, keen expression, super shoulders, well ribbed and ultra-compact, great tail set with plenty behind, in immaculate condition and never stopped showing. CC
2nd – Hughes & Pearce`s Knowlelion Midnight Sky, 3yrs, typical head, not using her ears today, nice shoulders, and topline, good tailset, short of coat today, would like a bit more animation from her.
3rd – Hughes & Pearce`s Knowlelion Keep it Secret
