WELSH JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 17

Welsh Terriers

MPD

1 Witmond’s Tiltser Double O’Seven, very good head, well placed ears, best of neck & shoulders level topline, great to go over, won on pigment & forehand. Excellent quarters, moved with drive for a pup so young, in lovely bloom, shining well. CC.

PD (0).

JD

1 Collins’ Colldale Call Of Duty, up to size young dog, ‘Welshy’ head with strong muzzle, long neck, a little long cast, very good tailset, needs to strengthen behind.

PGD (0).

LD

1 Eastwood & Vickers’ Welsh Dragon, ideal size, strong head, ears OK, ultra short back, not the shoulders or front of CC winner, shining on his tops all the time, moved well behind. RCC;

2 Orton’s Tiltser Goldfinger, good dog of quality, long head, dark eye, level topline, well muscled thigh, moved well, not using himself to advantage, spoilt his outline close up.

OD

1 Humphries’ Penparc Skyfall, head a little plain, ears OK, level bite, forehand let him down, very good tailset, moved well, trimming would help.

MPB

1 Thomas’ Somerwel Head Full Of Dreams, very good outline, excellent head & ears, true front, long feminine neck, very good coat texture, tail on top, well toned quarters, moved well, alert all the time, must not grow! RCC.

PB

1 Connell’s Sonorra Dirty Gertie, proper Welsh type, grand head & well placed ears, cobby with quality, short backed, big ribs, true front in good order, showing well. Moved soundly. CC & BOB;

2 Evans’ Pendevour Paige, nice head, OK front, needs to body up with age, moved well;

3 Travers’ Pendevour Phraya.

JB

1 Robertson’s Renevis Rebel Rebel, ideal size, typical Welsh, well bodied, ultra short back, good topline, moved with drive, showing well, not looking her best;

2 Graham’s Stanstead Shining Star, long head, good ears, would have liked deeper chest & shorter back, excels in tailset & quarters, moved OK.

PGB

1 Collins’ Colldale Boudica, good pigment, would have liked stronger head, very good ears, good tailset, moved well in front, needs strengthening behind, in good nick.

LB

1 Thomas’ Saredon Desert Bloom at Somerwel, good Welsh bitch, pleasing topline, showing all the time, I liked her tailset, moved OK;

2 Riley’s Yonichi Pistol Raider, nice head & ears, she was sulky today, uneven topline, moved with drive, well muscled.
