WELSH BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 15 Judge: Mr Martin Phillips BEST OF BREED : 7838 POTTS Mr A Kebulak Femme Fatale WELSH JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 15 Welsh Terriers PD (2,1a) 1 Connell’s Sonorra Blazing Hot, lovely quality pup of 10 months, clean in head, good eye, strong jaw, good in body for age, correct tailset, in good coat, went well on the move. BP. PGD (2,1) 1 Ashton’s Red Kite to Kitesprite, well bodied male of 22 months. Lots to like. Very clean in the head with correct colour & size eye. Nice ears set on. Strong in jaw, good front assembly & body. Would like a shade shorter coupling. Very strong quarters, moved out well & put down in good order. LD (4) 1 Witmond’s Boowire Ignite My Fire at Tiltser, took my eye as he entered the ring for his presence. 10 months, in tip top order, good outline, lovely head, correct eye, neat in ears, very good in front, well bodied for age & balance of good type. Correct coat. RCC; 2 Williams & Bradley’s Aman That Can’t Be Moved, again overall of good type & size. Very well balanced. Head & eye good, ears set correctly, neck & shoulder placement good, body went well; 3 Shackell & Redman’s Romaunt Waking The Dead. OD (3) 1 Potts’ Kebulak Trigger Happy, lovely type, very much a workman terrier, nothing flashy, just a true Welshman. So well balanced & in good order, correct eye with good head planes, ears set well, correct deep body, short in coupling, tail on top & moved well. CC; 2 Chong & Wong’s Multi Ch Aman Raider Of The Lost Ark, again a very good type of Welshman. Pleasing to go over, clean in head, nice eye, good strong body with good strong loin, tail on top, moved out well, in good order; 3 Hughes & Pearce’s Demorner Hats Off. VD (0). PB (1) A. JB (2) 1 Shannon’s Felstead Flamingo, 16 months old bitch, very raw at the moment but clean in skull with a lovely eye, nice ears & used them. Front assembly good. Just needs time to mature & drop in body. Well handled. PGB (2) 1 Graham’s Stanstead Miss Whip Lash, a young bitch, big, another for me but has a lot going for her. Liked her head, eye, neat ears. Slightly upright in shoulder restricting front movement. OK for body, in good coat, strong quarters. LB (3,1) 1 Vickers’ Ellenside Maid In Chelsea, ideal size bitch, good quality & type, correct head & eye, good strong muzzle, very good in front, strong topline, short in loin. Very good quarters with small hocks. Tail on top. Would like a little more use of ears which lost her the ticket but won’t be long before she gets her crown. RCC; 2 Snow’s Felstead Prim, again a nice quality Welsh. Strong in body, clean head with good muzzle, neck & front in good order, deep body, short in coupling, went well on the move. OB (4) 1 Potts’ Kebulak Femme Fatale, 2 years, loved this bitch for overall quality & shape. Very well balanced, excellent in head, good eye, neat ears, lovely neck & front assembly. Correct body, strong in loin, tail on top. Just would like to have more drive from behind. Very showy & put down in top form. CC & BOB: 2 Hayakawa’s Jap Charleston Jp Xanadu, very showy bitch, lots to like, pleasing head & body, correct movement. Would like a bit more bone; 3 Bradley & Davies’ Aman If You Ever Come Back.
