Welsh Terriers

This entry wasn’t mine as I was a substitute judge. I liked what was there but thought some of the trimming of the foreface has gone a bit awry. On the bright side, Welsh are still being shown.

1 Ashton’s Kitesprite Dreamstalker, in good condition, nice layback of shoulder, nice set of ears, good mouth, splendid tailset, in very good coat. I liked his expression.

1 Williams & Bradley’s Aman Man That Can’t Be Moved, liked this one a lot, good neck & shoulders, good colour, good set of teeth, moved well both fore & aft. Just felt trimming of foreface was wrong for a Welsh.

1 Chong & Wong’s Ma/Th Ch Aman Raider Of The Lost Ark, in first class condition, crisp coat, good neck & shoulders, lovely set of teeth, typical Welsh head, very good expression. Had to be good to beat the bitch for BOB. CC & BOB;

2 Halliwell’s Wigmore April, good expression, good head & ears, lovely neck & shoulders, in good coat, moved well. Thought the handler really got the best out of him. Close up to 1. RCC;

3 Williams’ Taicligh Star Trooper.

1 Witmond’s Tiltser Jubilee, lovely head, nice set of teeth, expression good, moved as one with handler, well schooled. BP;

2 Varey’s Knowlelion Hocus Pocus, in good coat & colour, nice expression, good mouth. Moved straight but a bit close behind. Well handled but liked movement of 1 better.

1 Robertson’s Renevis Good As Gold, liked this one a lot. With maturity will trouble the best. In first class condition, excellent mover both fore & aft, typical Welsh bitch with good expression;

2 Ashton’s Kitesprite Flights Of Fancy, good neck & shoulder, nice mouth, in good coat, typical Welsh. Liked movement of 1 better.

1 Spragg’s Westpenn Merry Go Round, moved very well, good tailset, in good coat, good expression, good handler. Bit strong for a bitch but should make a good brood bitch.

1 Averis’ Jap Ch Saredon All Time High, lovely Welsh, good head & expression, good layback of shoulder, lovely bend of stifle, in good coat, top class presentation, movement very good, went round the ring like a train. CC;

2 Allen & Poole’s Sonorra Miss Mischief at Penparc, very nice bitch, good head & mouth, good expression, lovely neck & shoulder, grand mover, well handled. Would like a brighter colour. RCC;

3 Hughes & Pearce’s Knowlelion Calamity Jane.
