Judge: Margaret House ( Glendowan )
It was a privilege to judge the 30th SCWTC of GB Championship Show. My thanks to the committee and exhibitors who voted for me and those who entered giving me the opportunity of judging the show this year. I previously judged the Club Championship Show in 1994 and it was most interesting to compare today’s exhibits with those of 16 years ago. Many of the comments I made then still apply today. Being positive, presentation has improved and is more uniform, few were over trimmed and stylised today. Coat texture has improved, possibly due to the introduction of more ‘Irish’ types into breeding programmes. Generally pigmentation is better. I did penalise light eyes and incorrect bites.
