Happy New Year to all.
I need claims for the various annual club trophies by the middle of the month so that they can be verified before the Year Book goes to print on Jan 31st. The rules for the various competitions are as follows:-
All club awards are calculated over the period from 1st January to 31st December. The awards for Top Wheaten Dog and Top Wheaten Bitch are calculated as follows:
At Championship Shows with CCs on offer for the breed, CC winners are awarded points equal to 3 times the number of Wheatens entered. Reserve CC winners are awarded points equal to the number of Wheatens entered. BOB gets additional points equal to the number of Wheatens entered.
At Championship shows without CCs on offer to the breed and the Club Open Shows, Best of Breed is awarded points equal to the number of Wheatens entered. (No claims needed)
The Best Puppy award is calculated as follows:-
At Championship Shows with CCs on offer for the Breed 3 points are awarded for Best Puppy in Breed. At Championship Shows without CCs on offer to the breed and Club Open Shows one point is awarded for Best Puppy in Breed (no claims needed)
· The Bacanti Firsts Cup is as its name suggests and is awarded to the Wheaten winning the most first prizes in breed classes. CLAIMS PLEASE
· The Variety Challenge Plate, plus the rosette and pennant, is presented to the Wheaten winning the most points in variety classes. Points are awarded on the basis of 7 for a 1st place, 6 for 2nd reducing by a point per place.
CLAIMS PLEASE
· The Eridanus Special Beginners Award is for the Wheaten which wins most often in Breed Classes at Championship, Open and Limit Shows. First place is worth 3 points, second 2 and third 1 point. Anyone having owned or handled a Wheaten which has won a CC cannot compete for this award. CLAIMS PLEASE
· The Top Stud Dog Shield and the Top Brood Bitch Trophy are calculated on wins by his/her progeny. The dog or bitch gains for itself as many points as its offspring collect in the Top Wheaten competition. (no claims needed)
· In the Top Breeder’s Award, a breeder receives 4 points for each individual dog winning a Challenge Certificate, and 1 point for each additional CC won by the same dog.(no claims needed)
· The Australian Trophy is awarded to the dog or bitch, made up during the year, who has won the most points in the Top Wheaten competition.(no claims needed)
Claims should be sent by email to me at kanjuleyuk@yahoo.co.uk or by snail mail to:-
