SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE SKC AUGUST 09

Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers

J (7,1a)

1 Satherley’s Tobamorrey Sitting Pretty at Silkcroft, 11 months girl, full of quality, she scored over 2 on head properties, well balanced powerful head with well set eye & ears, could have a touch more length of neck, good topline & tailset, still has her puppy coat as you would expect. Front movement good, she held her outline & had good reach in profile, well set tail used to advantage. BP & BB;

2 Paterson’s Kellynack The Fantastic Fox, moved well, preferred the head of 1, good body topline & tailset, coat OK, positive on the move, sufficient angulation, retained his outline on the move;

3 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth.

PG (2)

1 Paterson’s Kellynack Viva La Luna, well constructed front, good head, good strong teeth with correct bite, clean over the neck & shoulder, moved well coming towards but appeared a little close going away, good coat texture & well set tail. RBB;

2 MacGregor’s Kirktonhill No Matter What, appealing head & expression, good neck. Would prefer her tighter in elbow & this was evident when she came towards, OK going away. Good rib & body, coat OK, good tailset, adequate rear angulation.

O (3)

1 Johnson’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Fagin, mature dog, full of quality & good type, well balanced head, very good mouth, strong neck onto well laid shoulders, correct bone for size, correct coat of good texture although I felt today he could have carried a little more. Good topline & tailset, good rib, could do with a shade more body to complete the picture. His movement was spot on coming & going retaining his outline in profile & this carried him through to BOB;

2 Ross’ Keridown In City Dreams, another quality dog who appeared a touch heavier all through but this was due to the fact that he carried more coat than 1. 1 scored over him on the move as he was not as positive coming & going & took a long time to settle but he scored in body as he carried just the right amount of weight for his size. Balanced head, clean neck & shoulder, good bone, well set tail. He gave a good picture in profile. RBD;

3 Ewing’s Canicula The Elven Queen.
