SOFT COATED WHEATEN PAIGNTON 09 Judge: Mrs Roberta Wright SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE PAIGNTON 09 Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers I was pleased to award CCs for the first time in this delightful breed. My only criticism was many were carrying too much weight which affected their movement. PD (0). JD (2,1a) 1 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth, lively youngster who at 15 months is going through the teenage stage. Good shape & size, pleasing head proportions, coat of good colour, tight feet & moved OK. PGD (1) 1 Lawrence’s Snowmeadow Numinous Nillo, really liked this dog but he was so naughty. Good head & eye, excellent pigment, & angulations, kept topline on the move. LD (2,1) 1 Bott’s Whitevale Prince Of Thieves, excellent size & shape, strong head, excellent feet & angulation, good topline & tailset. Colour slightly pale. Moved well. OD (8,1) 1 Tanner’s Ch Kariskiye Kyanite Kizmet, this 8½ year old headed an excellent class, so sound & moved with a free & easy gait, pleasing head, good pigment, straight front, tight feet, well muscled quarters, finished off with a coat of excellent texture & colour. CC & BOB; 2 Morrey’s Tobamorrey Ain’t He A Tyke, very sound male, masculine head, well balanced throughout, carrying an excellent jacket. Just was not giving his all on the move. RCC & son I see to my BOB; 3 Walklin’s Ch/Can Ch Jonaire Kataxin Va Va Voom O’Kellynac. PB (4) 1 Satherley’s Tobamorrey Sitting Pretty at Silkcroft, just lovely this youngster, good size, excellent body proportions & angulation, firm topline, tight feet, didn’t put a foot wrong on the move, coat of good colour & texture, the most feminine of heads & a melting expression. Pushed hard for the CC. RCC & BP; 2 Morrey’s Tobamorrey Ain’t I Precious, litter sister to 1, smaller in size but of excellent type & she was being precious playing up on the move, her owner worked hard with her for this placing; 3 Taylor’s Amberstar Eight Days A Week. JB (6,2) 1 Howe’s Stevelyn Memphis to Vegas, feminine head, good pigment, makes an excellent shape standing. A bit erratic on the move; 2 Hammond & Evans’ Calvenace Toppa Totty, compact & stylish, of good type, pleasing head & overall balance. Just carrying a little too much weight; 3 Matti & Omitogun’s Loofasha Bohemia in Frontline. PGB (7,1) 1 Atyed’s Glendowan Guiding Star to Kanjuley, very smart young lady, coat of excellent texture, soft waves, colour just coming through. Pretty head, straight front, excellent topline & angulation, moved well; 2 Tilley’s Starzak Solid Gold Ez Action, different type to1, stronger in head but still feminine, nice overall size & balance, moved well; 3 Lewis’ Stevelyn Candy Kisses. LB (8,3) 1 Hanney’s Lilwaukee Veni Vidi Vici, very stylish bitch, lovely head & excellent pigment, firm body, short coupled, lovely coat & moved well in profile; 2 Robins’ Purdingley Maid for Morira, well made bitch, plenty of substance but retaining her femininity, rich colour, good texture to coat, level topline & well set tail, moved well; 3 Brown’s Chymidas Linel Stardancer at Carback. OB (6,1) 1 Munn’s Ch/Ir Ch Snowmeadow Jellybean Jilly, mature bitch of excellent type, loved her head & expression, firm body, well muscled quarters, coat of excellent colour, moved with style. CC; 2 Wright’s Ch Abbeymead Hootenanny, quality bitch, in excellent condition, so well presented, moved with an easy gait; 3 Tilley’s Ch Snowmeadow Hetti Hopscotch at Starzak. ROBERTA WRIGHT (Judge)
