SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE MIDLAND COUNTIES 09

Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers

PD (1)

1 Taylor & Youlden’s Pippajam Break On Through, pleasing puppy, full of exuberance & fun, good head & eyes, well laid shoulders, good topline, nice colour, moved out well.

JD (4)

1 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth, standing looked good throughout & at the end I saw what I wanted on the move when he started to hold his head up & stride out in front. Good head, nice topline, well made hindquarters, coat coming well, nice size;

2 Paterson’s Kellynack The Fantastic Fox, richer wheaten, pleasing head & eyes, good width in thighs, well bodied, nice legs & feet. Not just as good in shoulders;

3 Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Knight Romance.

PGD (3)

1 Coulbert’s Janeyjimjams Jazzbo, well balanced, good to go over, pleasing head, eye & ears, nice shape, sensible temperament, moved well;

2 Lawrence’s Snowmeadow Numinous Niilo, has a lot to like but needs training to make the most of it. Good head, nice body & bone, good well made hindquarters, nice colour;

3 Mason’s Emalot Tommy Tango.

LD (6)

1 Clarke’s Loofahsa Scaramouche, nicely balanced, good forehand, well made hindquarters, nice topline, clear colour. Only just out of junior & needs a little more time for maturity;

2 Cross’ Starcadia Willow Pickwick, bigger dog & not yet quite as well coordinated on the move. Pleasing coat, good bone & feet, well handled;

3 Noble’s Pippajam One And Only.

OD (8,2)

1 Walklin’s Ch/Can Ch Jonaire Kataxin Vava Voom O’Kellynack, grand dog of 6½, beautifully balanced, pleasing head, good front, legs & feet, nice bone, good firm hindquarters, moved soundly to take the CC;

2 Tilley’s Emalot Golden Delicious at Starzak, I also liked very much, good neck, shoulders, topline & tailset, nice width in hindquarters, good coat & colour. Looked the part but I just preferred the togetherness & assertiveness of 1. RCC;

3 Ford & McMurray’s Ch/Ir Ch Kanjuley Kygwenethan.

PB (5,2)

1 Moyes’ Pippajam Midnight Rose, litter sister to the dog puppy & shows the same promise & character. Good for make, shape & balance, nice head, attractive even colour, good over the loin & haunches, moved & showed well. BP;

2 Cross’ Weatawaite Little Ms Muffet, not just as firm in topline & can strengthen a little in front & pasterns. Still very young & I loved her attitude, promising coat texture;

3 Munn’s Snowmeadow Oolla O’Luna.

JB (6)

1 Salisbury’s Orliscwt Lillee The Pink, a proper SCWT, I wish she had a little more colour in her coat but pigment good & had the texture which the others lack at present. Nice terrier who showed with purpose & moved soundly, good neck, shoulders, topline & tail;

2 Williams’ Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock, very fidgety & difficult to go over. Nicely constructed, moved well. Better body than 1. Good width in thighs;

3 Satherley’s Tobamorrey Sitting Pretty at Silkcroft.

PGB (9,1)

1 Howes’ Daisymaes Arrabella, good free moving bitch, well made, good neck, shoulders, topline & tailset, good terrier attitude, making the best of herself standing & moving;

2 Walklin’s Buckwheat Jadis O’Kellynack, very good for balance, pleasing head, eyes & ears, well made. Coat texture good but needs more of it. Moved out well;

3 Smith’s Janeyjimjams Jasmina.

LB (8)

1 Dowdy’s Denzilly Toot Sweet, big enough but everything is in balance & she moved extremely well, feminine, nice clear colour, well constructed, good topline & tailset;

2 Mason’s Emalot Jean Genie, big enough & not quite as feminine as 1. Good coat texture, very good outline & tailset. 1 had the edge in hind movement;

3 Howe’s Stevelyn Memphis To Vegas.

OB (7,1)

1 Hanna’s Ch Kinaelan Quietly Confident, lovely bitch of pleasing balance, shape & size, good head, eyes & ears, nice neck, shoulders & front, good body & rib, nice strong hindquarters, good coat & condition, moved & showed well. CC & BOB;

2 Hanney’s Lilwaukee Veni Vidi Vici, well bodied, pleasing forehand, good neck, shoulders & topline, nice coat. 1 had the edge on the move but she went soundly. Could be a little better in eye;

3 O’Sullivan & Harding’s Wintrypark Miss Moneypenny for Chekhina.
