When judging the Wheaten Terriers, I was pleased with the overall conformation and coats in general, but movement disappointed me, and mouths definitely need looking at in the breeding programs, I found one mouth that was bordering on a health problem. I wish to thank all the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to judge their dogs, most of them taking my decisions sportingly
Puppy Dog (1)
1st Fletcher’s – KERIDOWN SHAKEN NOT STIRRED
Nice well constructed pup of good size and substance, good head showing expression, still in puppy coat, good topline and tail set, well angulated quarters, moved well for a puppy, (Best Puppy Dog & Best Pup in Breed)
Junior Dog (2)
1st Hobson’s – Abiqua Wild Knight Romance
Balanced square dog, of good size, well angulated quarters, good topline and tail set, soft coat but a bit straight.
2nd Whitehead’s – Shanghai Shoggoth
Top sized dog, good topline, well ribbed, not as square as 1st , good colour.
Post Graduate Dog (4. 2absent)
1st Clarke’s – Loofahsa Scaramouche
Good size and balance, soft coat, well angulated quarters, moved ok.
2nd Glew’s – Wentloog Mozambique
Good balance, loose soft coat, good head and neck, would prefer better angulated quarters which affected the movement.
Open Dog (3. 1absent)
1st Morrey’s – Tobamorrey Ain’t He A Tyke
Square well balanced dog, very masculine like a stallion, strong head not too coarse, soft coat of good colour, well angulated quarters, level topline with a good tail set, movement good but he was a bit too enthusiastic for the size of the wet weather ring. (Best Dog. & B.O.B.)
2nd Johnson’s – Fantasa Blonde Fagin Sh.CM
Beautiful 7year old dog, good coat and colour, head not overdone, level topline good tail set, excellent quarters,
moved steady. (Res Best Dog.)
Puppy Bitch (3)
1st Morrey’s – Tobamorrey Aint I Precious
Beautiful strong but feminine head, showing a good expression, good reach of neck, clean shoulders, straight front level topline with a good tail set, well angulated quarters, good coat and colour, presented and moved well.

2nd Satherley’s – Tobamorrey Sitting Pretty At Silkcroft
Similar to first in type, but coat not as soft, and expression not as good.
3rd Glew’s – Calvenance Hazy Days

Beautiful well balanced bitch, with good head and expression, well constructed, good topline and tail set,
good soft coat, moved well both ways with drive. (Res Best Bitch.)

Beautiful well balanced bitch, level topline, well angulated quarters, soft coat of good colour, moved ok.
2nd Tilley’s – Starzak Solid Gold Ez Action JW
Good balance and construction, preferred coat on first, moved well.
3rd Bradford’s – Abiqua Wild Lace Effect

Excellent bitch, nice size, excellent type, with good construction, well angulated and strong quarters,
level topline with good tail set, moved well both ways, good coat and colour.

Another top quality bitch, good head and expression, well balanced, good quarters and colour, moved well.
