SOFT COATED WHEATEN EAST OF ENGLAND 11 Judge(s) MRS D BOTT DCC CHLOEANCO HUNNI DREAM SHCM (MR I & MRS L CARTER) Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers PD (2) 1 Francis’ Amaricy Buffalo Soldier, 9 months & up to size good head, dark eye & mouth, coat of good colour moved well when settled; 2 Mapson’s Zaraslake Sirocco, 10 months, lighter in colour than 1, smaller head with good eye, was not as settled in the ring. JD (4) 1 Satherley’s Elkis Aquila of Silkcroft, just out of puppy & up to size, excellent head with dark eye & good bite, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, coat soft & clear, muscular rearend & moved well holding his topline with his tail on top; 2 Maleary’s Saffini Teenage Sensation, 14 months, smaller head than 1, good eye & bite, coat darker in colour, good neck & shoulders, did not move as well as 1; 3 Purser’s Saffini Teenage Dreams. PGD (7) 1 Johnson’s Garsayno Gold Freeman, lovely sized dog, all in proportion, good head & mouth. Nice length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, moved well to win the class; 2 Hart’s Weatawaite Little Boy Blue, many of the attributes as 1 movement on the day lost him top spot; 3 Carter’s Chloeanco Hunni Twirls. LD (4) 1 Carter’s Chloeanco Hunni Dream, I have liked this dog from afar, lovely & square, good head, eye & mouth, large black nose, good front, length of neck & enough rib, short coupled with good muscular rear, coat of excellent texture & colour, moved well holding his topline. CC & BOB; 2 Evans & Barry’s Hobel La Nollag, 18 months, many of the attributes of 1 longer cast in body & not the muscletone of 1, did not settle as well on the move; 3 Kenneally’s Loofahsa Hakuna Matata. OD (8) 1 Evan’s & Barry’s Int/Ir Ch Hobel Joe O’Brien, 6 years male in his prime, excellent head, length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, good topline, moved with drive around the ring with his tail on top, beautiful Irish coat of the correct texture, would have preferred a little more wheaten colour to complete the picture. RCC; 2 Barrett’s Ch Loofahsa Teenage Dirtbag, 6 years dog, good head & eye, nice length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, level topline on the move; 3 Herbert’s Ch Caidantes That’s Ma Boy. PB (3) 1 Robin’s Purdingley Maid O’ The Moment, 7 months feminine bitch full of character, nice size head with large black nose, good scissor bite, nice length of neck leading into well placed shoulder, when settled moved well & did enough to gain BP; 2 Rogers’ Kizzahla Dreamsicle, 10 months, good head & correct eye, good length of neck leading into well laid shoulders, good topline, longer cast than 1, coat of correct texture; 3 Smith’s Amaricy Don’t Rock My Boat. JB (5) 1 Wardle’s Saffini Yours Truly, 13 months, sweet head & expression, lovely & square, good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, moved true for & aft, handler should try moving a little faster to retain the gaily carried tail on the move; 2 Salisbury & Kehoe’s Killeshin Libaneire, nice Irish bitch, lighter in colour than 1, movement let her down in front; 3 Smith’s Amaricy Don’t Rock My Boat. PGB (7) 1 Griffith’s Manawyddan Brigid, good head with small ears, nice length of neck & good topline, tail bang on top, good muscle in the hindquarters, moved very well; 2 Hammond & Evan’s Calvenace Toppa Totty, square outlined bitch with good head & eye, carrying a little too much weight & lost out on movement for it; 3 Evans & Barry’s Hobel Christmas Day. LB (10) 1 Withington’s Fantasa Blonde Lilley, well presented & handled bitch, balanced throughout, good head & mouth, nice length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, good spring of rib with a deep chest, coat of soft texture; 2 Tilley’s Starzak Solid Gold E-Z Action, one I have placed before & liked many of the attributes of 1, lost out on coat texture & movement; 3 Snowmeadow Oolla O’Luna. OB (12) 1 Howe’s Daisymaes Arrabella, just my style & a typical terrier. Nicely proportioned head with good eye & neat ears, good neck & shoulder with depth to ribs, short coupled with good muscletone to rear which showed when moving with dive around the ring. CC; 2 Dowdy’s Starcadia Luna Sea, beautifully proportioned bitch, larger in head than 1 but still very feminine, could easily change places with 1 on another day, just preferred the conformation of 1.
