SOFT COATED WHEATEN EAST OF ENGLAND 09 Judge(s) MRS S KEALY DCC CH/CAN CH JONAIRE KATAXIN VAVA VOOM O'KELLYNACK SHCM (IMP) (MR D P & MRS S A WALKLIN) Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers I was pleased with the quality & type shown. I was looking especially for SCWT with correct coat, large strong teeth, correct dark pigmentation around eyes, on lips & pads & nails if possible, all combined with positive hind action. I am glad to say that several exhibits fitted this description. PD (1) 1 Paterson’s Kellynack The Fantastic Fox, happy young man, excellent temperament, well proportioned, correct head shape & nice dark eye, well carried neck, good layback leading to good topline & tailset, his movement was good. Coat texture not yet correct. BP. JD (1) 1 Salisbury’s Orliscwt Bobbin Along, correct type, good proportions, nice flat skull, strong foreface, dark eyes, correct dark eye rims, very good neck, well ribbed up. Tailset could be higher, moved a little close behind. Coat & colour excellent. PGD (2) 1 Warman’s Glendowan Butterball Brown, well made, pleasing head, good bite, nice neck & forequarters, well bodied, strong hindquarters, moved well, god coat & pigmentation; 2 Cooper’s Merriwell Midnite Magic, well made. Coat, pigmentation & ear carriage not as good as 1. LD (4,3a) 1 Watkins, Hammond & Evans’ Calvanace Leapy Lee, good type, head well shaped, good expression. Ears could be better. Dark eye & good pigmentation, well held neck running into nice level topline & good tailset, well angulated. Little close behind. Excellent coat. OD (4,1) 1 Walklin’s Ch/Can Ch Jonaire Kataxin Vava Voom, well balanced, correct for size, confident & proud, nice square flat skull, pigment good, dark eye, carried neck well & good topline held, reached out well on the move. CC & BOB; 2 Johnson’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Fagin, attractive, typy, balanced dog, correct eye, strong flat skull, good foreface. Didn’t want to use his ears. RCC; 3 Munn’s Ch Snowmeadow Jazzy Jacob. PB (1) A. JB (5) 1 Walklin’s Buckwheat Jadis O’Kellynack, terrier type, well made, head & skull correct, excellent ear carriage, good pigmentation, good neck flowing into good shoulders, nice body shape & topline, excellent coat. Moved a bit close behind; 2 Williams; Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock, nice make & shape, good expression, dark eye & good pigmentation, neck, shoulders, topline & hindquarters pleasing, moved well. Coat not as correct as 1; 3 Salisbury’s Orliscwt Lillee The Pink. PGB (7,4) 1 Paterson’s Kellynack Viva La Luna, well proportioned, correct for height & length of body, good head planes, dark eyes, correct mouth. Ears a bit dead. Good tailset, moved well; 2 Bain’s Merriwell Midnite Melody, good body, correct proportions, nice head, all correct for eye, ears & mouth, good neck & shoulders. Tailset not as good as 1; 3 Calvert & Kelly’s Weatawaite Bombay Saphire. LB (9,4) 1 Ford & McMurray’s Kanjuley Katie Scarlett, correct size & type, nice feminine head, dark eye & correct pigment, used ears well, very good neck, good body, moved well, best coat of the class; 2 Hanna’s Kinaelan Quietly Confident, good type & size, very good head, dark eye & pigmentation, neck, shoulders & body all in balance, moved well; 3 House’s Glendowan Muffin Mclay. OB (6,1) 1 O’Sullivan & Harding’s Wintrypark Miss Moneypenny for Chekhina, very good type, caught my eye immediately, well balanced, good head, neck & body, flat skull, held ears very well giving correct expression, teeth good & good pigmentation, lovely coat, very well handled, moved well. CC; 2 Munn’s Ch/Ir Ch Snowmeadow Jellybean Jilly, very well made body, nice strong skull & foreface, dark eye, used her ears, good hind end, moved out well.
