SOFT COATED WHEATEN BOURNEMOUTH 11 Judge: Mr F J Gadd SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 11 Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers 1 Dunhill’s Fantasa Blonde Neville, though this youngster stood alone it would have taken something rather special to beat him. Skilfully presented, fine head & expression, balanced, moving with drive, looked very good coming & going away was as near perfect as you can get, fine coat, excellent shape. BP, PG2. JD 1 Satherley’s Elkis Aquila of Silkcroft, this fellow took me by storm, wonderful head & expression, clean neck, excellent bone, fine coat, perfectly balanced which could be clearly seen when moving around the ring, top size in tip-top condition, elegant, sophisticated, handled to get the best out of him, a real credit to his handler. CC & BOB; 2 Hennefer’s Kariskiye Handsome Harvey, not quite the size of 1, nevertheless well worth his placing. Fine head & expression, great neck leading to well laid shoulder, short back. Looked good on the move, however lacked drive going. I put that down to the heat as it was rather warm. PGD 1 Francis’ Sawheaten Twasn’t Me, top sized fellow in fine condition, balanced head, grand expression, satisfactorily constructed, physically hard to touch & one more where his fitness could be seen on the move, coming towards me reaching out with even strides, going away showing plenty of drive, in fine coat; 2 Hart’s Weatawaite Little Boy Blue, fine fellow with good head & expression, excellent front & profile short backed. Looked OK when moving towards me, would have liked more drive when going away. LD 1 Carter’s Chloeanco Hunni Dream, fine headed fellow, tremendous expression, muscled neck leading into well laid shoulders, put together suitably & this could be seen on the move when coming towards me clean, reaching out, going away with plenty of drive; 2 Cooper’s Merriwell Midnite Magic, another with a fine head & expression, clean neck, grand front with straight bone, superbly constructed & fit, moving well within himself; 3 Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Knight Romance. OD 1 Clarke’s Loofahsa Scaramouche, Superbly presented, masculine head well furnished, grand expression, lovely coat, excellent construction, deep into the brisket, moving with tremendous ease with incredible reach & drive. RCC; 2 Leigh’s Am Ch Starlight Master Of The Game, another in tip-top condition, powerful head, grand expression, carried himself superbly, extremely fit which became obvious on the move, tremendous reach displaying remarkable drive, handled to perfection; 3 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth. 1 Moran’s Abiqua Wild-Rose For A Rose, though alone I thoroughly enjoyed giving her the award, however she was not too happy to be there which could be clearly seen in her performance. You could undoubtedly see what she had been but unfortunately as with most things & time not on her side beginning to fade. BV. PB 1 Watkins & Watkins’ Zaraslake Seraphina, well presented, handled to perfection producing a grand performance, a youngster going through the change. Pleasing head & expression, highly developed neck leading into well laid shoulders. Coat not the best, however she was fit which could be clearly seen when I asked her to move; 2 Rogers’ Kizzahla Dreamsicle, another that I liked though I would have liked more of a challenge for her. Fine head & expression, grand front elevation, lovely profile, still developing but in the right direction, moved well. JB 1 Wardle’s Saffini Yours Truly, a fine class of bitches to go over & this youngster was my choice for 1st place. Beautiful head, tremendous expression, excellent front elevation, grand profile, physically fit, stood square, developing as she should, moving efficiently; 2 Satherley’s Silkcroft Colour Of Magic, very similar to 1 in all aspects, fine head & expression, grand front & profile, still growing with time on her side, excellent rib deep into brisket, excellent coat, super tailset, moved agreeably; 3 O’Sullivan & Harding’s, Chekhina Streaming Sarayu. PGB 1 Jefferies’ Cuddly Keira, this fine girl met the Standard agreeably, excellent head, appealing expression, fine neck & front with tremendous profile, deep into brisket, super angulations, another who was superbly fit, excellent topline, moving with promises; 2 Watkins & Watkins’ Zaraslake Bellissima, in tip-top condition, fine head, neck & front elevation, lovely profile, handled to perfection getting the best out of her, moved with ease coming & showing real drive going away from me; 3 Witheyman & Witheyman’s Steefsgrace Dutch Kiss by Dascol. LB 1 Grant’s Kellynack The Fabulous Fox, first class bitch presented superbly for my consideration, fine head with grand expression, lovely neck, well laid shoulders, excellent front, tremendous profile, ample bone, deep rib, level topline, short back, suitably constructed, moving well coming towards me showing drive going away; 2 Moran’s Abiqua Wild In A Satin Sash, liked her very much, presented to catch my eye which she did, fine head & expression, tremendous front, ample bone, lovely profile, short back, level topline, tremendous angulations which could be seen when moving; 3 Watkins & Watkins’ Chloeanco Hunni Caress for Zaraslake. OB 1 Dowdy & Dowdy’s Ch Denzilly Toot Sweet, have liked her in the past & remains a favourite, so well made & balanced, elegant outline with superior head, excellent pigmentation & very appealing expression, in good hard condition & well handled, moved out positively with drive. This was a wonderful surprise for me. Moved like a dream. CC; 2 Howes Daisymaes Arrabella, another that I have admired from the ringside for quite a while & it felt good to finally get my hands on her & I was not disappointed. Fine head & expression, tremendous front elevation & profile, short back, level topline, deep rib, ample bone, superbly fit, lovely construction which could be clearly seen within her movement; 3 Rogers’ Ch Kizzahla Katinka. |
