SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE BOSTON 09

Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers

The overall standard of the dogs was good with some very promising youngsters. My only concern was with faulty mouths. I was surprised to see so many.

PD (2)

1 Clarke’s Loofahsa Scaramouche, lovely pup, stood square & with good angulation, soft coat of good colour, correct dark pigment & eye, well bodied, held his level topline on the move. BP;

2 Salisbury’s Orliscwt Bobbin Along, moved well & with drive once he’d settled, but he has time on his side at just 6 months.

JD (1)

1 Bott’s Whitevale Prince Of Thieves, masculine dog, excellent pigmentation, good scissor bite, put together very well, moved with drive maintaining his level topline.

PGD (3,1a)

1 Lawrernce’s Snowmeadow Mumilous Niilo, super coat, good dark pigment & eye, stood square, good reach of neck. A little unsettled;

2 Lloyd’s Kazeen Bright Delight, coat of good colour. Not the reach of neck of 1, movement was a bit erratic.

OD (3,1)

1 Barrett’s Loofahsa Teenage Dirtbag, dog I’ve liked from afar & didn’t disappoint me, lovely soft coat of correct texture & colour, good reach of neck & tailset, compact & balanced dog, moved well, not exaggerated in anyway, everything to like. BD;

2 Munn’s Ch Snowmeadow Jazzy Jacob, larger than 1, good pigment & eye, coat falls in soft waves, kept his level topline on the move. RBD.

PB (3)

1 Smith’s Janey Jimjams Jasmina, well bodied pup, stood square, good reach of neck, moved OK;

2 Salisbury’s Orliscwt Goldilocks, very much a baby at just 6 months but her terrier perkiness caught my eye, her movement was one of the best;

3 Hammond & Evan’s Calvenace Toppa Totty.

JB (3)

Some difficult decisions as all the entries were of a high standard.

1 Howes’ Daisymaes Arrabella, quality lady, stood square, lovely outline, good pigment & eye, level topline, correct tailset & carriage, moved on her toes;

2 Tilley’s Starzak Solid Gold Ez Action, many of the attributes of 1 but not the coat colour. Moved freely & with drive, one to watch;

3 Bott’s Whitevale Sunshine Straw.

PGB (3,1)

1 Barrett’s Denzilly Truly Scrumptious at Saffini, well bodied girl, coat of good colour & texture, nice head & neck, moved well;

2 Hammond & Evans’ Calvenace Boodles, smaller than 1 with lovely wavy coat, a lot to like about her but I couldn’t asses her movement because she was lame.

OB (6,2)

1 Tilley’s Ch Snowmeadow Hetti Hopscotch at Starzak, beautiful girl with super soft coat, feminine expression, correct pigment & eye, level topline, good angulation, her movement was the best of the day & she showed her socks off. BOB & G4;

2 Munn’s Ch Snowmeadow Jellybean, quality bitch with everything going for her, similar in many ways to 1, although shorter coupled. RBB;

3 Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Blonde Isabelle.
