SOFT COATED WHEATEN BLACKPOOL 09 Judge: Mr E Hulme SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE BLACKPOOL 09 Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers PD (3) 1 Paterson’s Kellynack The Fantastic Fox, compact, nice size, balanced, 10 months, well constructed, confident & free moving, in best condition; 2 Fletcher’s Keridown Shaken Not Stirred, typical outline & balance, pleasing head, strong teeth. Not quite as far on as 1 being a couple of months younger, learning the job well & shows promise; 3 Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Knight Romance. JD (3) 1 Clarke’s Loofahsa Scaramouche, squarely built, good head detail, well set, clean lengthy neck, level back, short strong loin, high set tail, developing nicely in chest & ribs, balanced angulation, free moving with good stride & excellent carriage; 2 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth, pleasing head, good neck, firm level topline, ribs & body, handled well, straight forelegs, attractive coat texture & colour. Not quite the strong drive of 1 otherwise close up; 3 A Wild Knight Romance. PGD (5,1) 1 Mason’s Emalot Tommy Tango, typical outlook, flat lengthy skull of moderate width, defined stop, muzzle of desired length with strong jaw, large black nose, clean neck, nicely angulated, bright character who moved & showed with enthusiasm; 2 Webster’s Kazeen Too Bright To Bovver, attractive make & shape, well sprung ribs, short strong loin, well set on & carried tail. Not quite the accurate footfall of 1 otherwise close up; 3 Glew’s Wentloog Mozambique. LD (4,1) 1 House & Lampkin’s Glendowan Going For Gold, first class outline & balance, approaching maturity well, nicely combines type, soundness, strength & quality, full of spirit & character, when settled & concentrating his movement & carriage were most impressive & helped secure him the CC; 2 Bott’s Whitevale Prince Of Thieves, squarely built, balanced, unexaggerated yearling, pleasing head, ears, neck, shoulder & topline, impressive conformation, used himself well moving with good head & tail carriage. With a little more maturity his day should come; 3 Dunhill’s Fantasa Blonde Kaos. OD (7,2) 1 Bristow’s Lilwaukee Leroy Brown for Avard, mature 5 year old of typical outlook, well proportioned head, thin correctly carried ears, in hard muscular condition, nicely angulated producing a strong accurate gait, made the most of himself at all times. RCC; 2 Tilley’s Emalot Golden Delicious at Starzak, nice size, squarely built, nicely proportioned skull & muzzle, good neck, legs & feet, well sprung ribs, strong level back, admirable coat texture. Could have been more settled when moving; 3 Munn’s Ch Snowmeadow Jazzy Jacob. PB (4,1) 1 Morrey’s Tobamorrey Aint I Precious, has everything going for her at this stage, willing showgirl in best condition, an excellent prospect. BP; 2 Glew’s Calvenace Hazy Days, good type, feminine 7 month old, scored well in conformation, lovely temperament & presentation, progressing along the right lines, has the potential to finish well; 3 Moran’s Abiqua Wild In A Satin Sash. JB (2,1) 1 Hammond & Evans’ Calvenace Toppa Totty, lovely size, outline & balance, typical head pattern, strong pigment, well sprung ribs, firm level topline, short strong loin, coat of good colour & texture, bright character moving & showing to maximise her virtues. If maturity is kind should finish well. PGB (7,2) 1 Paterson’s Kellynack Viva La Luna, compact yearling, stands foursquare, good head & eye, well set neck & layback of shoulder, firm nicely angulated rear, carried herself well moving, good reach & drive; 2 Tilley’s Starzak Solid Gold Ez Action, up & coming well balanced yearling, lots to admire in type & quality, good head pattern, firm level topline, good legs & feet, soft silky coat, close up to 1; 3 Bristow’s Kellynack Viva La Passione for Avard. LB (7,3) 1 Robins’ Purdingley Maid for Morira, feminine, well proportioned, pleasing make & shape, good body & bone, well muscled & moved freely, quality coat; 2 Dowdy’s Denzilly Toot Sweet, quality bitch, stands foursquare, splendid conformation & free powerful gait. Needs a little more maturity to complete the picture; 3 Mason’s Emalot Jean Genie. OB (10,3) 1 Tilley’s Ch Snowmeadow Hetti Hopscotch at Starzak, typical of her breeding which I have admired before. Nice size, good head pattern, well muscled with impressive unexaggerated conformation that enabled her to move freely with plenty of reach & drive, coat & attitude completed the picture. CC & BOB; 2 Rogers’ Ch Kizzahla Katinka, pleasing size, splendid outline & balance, good head, eye & ears, strong pigment, liked her coat & hard muscular condition, now 6 years I was told she & 1 had both received BP awards from me, I was pleased that I still liked them & that they had reached the top.
