SOFT COATED WHEATEN WELKS 25 Judge: Mark Walshaw 165. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Veteran Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 470 - Flaxela Living Legend of Gwendonydd (Mrs S V & Mr G S Williams). 9 years old. Well made, with bone and substance. Strong in head, tidy tail and angulation throught. Sporting a good jacket for age of correct colour. Clean on the move. 166. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Minor Puppy Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 459 - Pippajam Going The Distance (Mrs W & Dr P Noble & Pearson). Just a baby at his first show and enjoying it. Smaller framed. Ok through head, nice dentition, ears, neck and front. Clean topline. Well angled throughout. Steady mover. 167. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Puppy Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 440 - Janeyjimjams Jinja Zinga (Mr G Jutting).This 10mth old young feller presented a pleasing profile. Short coupled, tail on top with plenty behind. Smart in head, correct stop, dentition, eye and ears. Adequate bone and well angled front and rear. Coat coming through nicely. He moved steadily when settled, but kept his handler busy. 168. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Junior Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 467 - Silkcroft Perfect Symmetry (ai) (Mr Cw & Mrs Cl & Mrs Hb Satherley & Satherley & Bye). Pleasing overall shape and balanced, short coupled and at this stage progressing nicely. Liked his head and proportions, with a clean sparkling eye , excellent dentition and ears. Clean through neck and front assembly. Tidy tailset with some behind. Well angle rear with short hocks. Coat coming through well and nicely prepared, if a little over sculptured. today .moved well when settled, covering the ground.
170. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Post Graduate Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 434 - Crofftysofty Hay Jude (Mrs J Amel-Azizpour) well made and with good body. Typical through head and strong dentition. He was compact and had good ribbing. Correctly angled rear. Coat a little fluffy and profuse today., which spoiled overall picture.steady mover, but tended to drop his head.
171. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Limit Dog Entries: 4 Absentees: 1 1ST 468 - Lakkas Yankee Sweet Silkcroft (Imp Swe) JW (Mr Cw & Mrs Cl & Miss Pc Satherley & Satherley & Wynter). Quite liked this youngster and his overall shape and balance kept drawing me back to him.very pleasing through a typical head, lovely through a clean neck. Well angled throughout and liked his ribbing. Jacket was ok and was well presented. He Just couldn't settle on the move today. Im sure his time will come. 2ND 437 - Loofahsa King of The Pippins (ai) (Mr A Brooks). Another who impressed overall, with balance, compact and required substance. Well bodied, good depth, tailset and plenty behind. Was playing the game at times for his handler and preferred front movement of winner. Sporting a loosely waved coat of pleasing colour. 3RD 435 - Bridestones Red Cinnabar (Mrs V L & Mr A M Balchin) 172. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Open Dog Entries: 7 Absentees: 0 A lovely class and splitting hairs, I liked the size, build and balance of 1 and 2. 1ST 441 – Ch Flaxela Illuminati (ai) JW (Mrs P & Mr J Clarke) . A masculine mature 4 yr old dog. Ticked the boxes for me today. Powerful in head, of correct width, square, well filled, good stop and sparkling eye, big nose and tidy ears. Strength in moderate neck, well placed shoulders, tidy topline, well ribbed back, with depth, strong loin and tail on top with a good shelf behind. Correct angulated rear with strong quarters. Sporting one of the best coats of the day and not overly trimmed. He moved steadily covering the ground, with clean footwork. CC & BOB 2ND 463 - Ch Silkcroft Shake It Off JW (Mr C W & Mrs C L Satherley). Another that was well made, with balance, bone and substance. Pleasing in head, with strength, adequate neck and pleasing front assembly. Short coupled and well angled rear. Looked the part on the move with good reach. Worthy champion. RCC 3RD 461 - Ch/am/can Ch Silkcroft Freeze Frame JW Jww18 Bel Jch (Mr C W & Mrs C L Satherley). 7 yr old, who was my best veteran. Pleasing overall shape, balanced and a classy mover. Still can mix it with the younger ones. Nice to see he was worthy of clinching group 2 in the terrier veteran group. Well done and well deserved. RES 439 - Ch House of Softy Indus (Imp Swe) ShCEx (Mrs J Charleton) VHC 449 - Janeyjimjams Jem Devlin (Mrs J & Mr G Grimes & Watson) 173. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Veteran Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1ST 464 - Ch Silkcroft Sky Full of Stars ShCM Ir Jch (Mr C W & Mrs C L Satherley). Wow 11 years old and still sporting a lovely jacket. Tidy through head, good neck and has enough bone and substance. Nice tailset and shelf. Moved steadily to clinch the class. 2ND 448 - Glendowan Golden Brandy (E & G C Gleeson). 7 years and well presented. Nothing exaggerated on this lady. Well balanced and angled throughout, stood four square and stacked well. Steady on the move.
174. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Minor Puppy Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 471 - Hopla Kia at Gwendonydd (Imp Dnk) (Mrs S V & Mr G S Williams). Just 6 mnths and plenty of her at this age. Typical in head, pleasing with large teeth and smart ears. Well off for bone and substance, good angles throughout, tail on top and some behind. coat impresses at this age.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Puppy Bitch Entries: 5 Absentees: 0 A nice class of promising youngsters , at varying stages of development. 1ST 472 - Fantasa Blonde Xtasey (Miss D Witheyman) . this youngster stood out today. Very typical in head, feminine, but with strength. Good dentition, sparkling keen eye and good ears. Lovely neck, slightly arched leading into a good front assembly. Gave an overall balanced picture, standing four square, strong level topline and short coupled. Tail on top and good shelf. Well angled rear. Sporting a pleasing jacket for age. Excellent in profile on the send around. She was in with a shout today, just needs a little more maturity and tighting up in movement. A good future I am sure. A pleasure to award her BP. 2ND 447 - Crofftysofty Bee Yonce (Mrs A Fallon) . a tidy type, very typical throughout. Standing four square, balanced and short coupled. Pleasing head, Adequate bone, ribs, correct topline and plenty behind the tail. Moved steadily. 3RD 443 - Janeyjimjams Jinja Rogers (Mr R & Mrs K Cooper) RES 455 - Dohoci Cariad (Mr R A & Mrs E S John) VHC 456 - Crofftysofty Bee Loved (Miss G Mackenzie) 176. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Junior Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 466 - Silkcroft Crystal Ball (ai) (Mr Cw & Mrs Cl & Mrs Hb Satherley & Satherley & Bye). . just 12 months and still maturing. Pleasing type for build, balance and construction. Typical head, topline , ribbing and rear assembly.moved well when settled, but needs to tighten up.
178. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 450 - Keevasdream Purple Bliss for Spudler (Mrs J & Mr G Grimes & Watson). Genuine type. Not sporting her best jacket today. That said she pleased in many areas. Head, neck ribbing and topline. Tailset and plenty behind. Decent angulation. Moved well all ways and well handled.
179. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Limit Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1ST 457 - Snowmeadow Treacle Toffee (Mr S & Mrs S Munn) 3yr old, who again my notes say, pleased in many ways. Typical in head, good dentition and clean eye. Ample bone, well ribbed, good depth, strong neck, clean topline and tail on top. Well defined quarters and low hocks. She moved well and was sporting an excellent jacket.
180. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier - Open Bitch Entries: 6 Absentees: 1 1ST 454 - Ch Flaxela Flirtini at Daisymaes JW (ai) (Mr S & Mrs B Howes) . 3 yr old. A bitch with strength, but not overdone. Loved her head, so typical, feminine but with strength. Strong neck and smart shoulder and front assembly. Excellent bone and substance, great ribbing, depth and well back, short coupled and strong loin. Her tail is well set and a good shelf behind. Strong quarters and stood four square. Her coat really impressed, for me the best of the day, soft, curly, light and loose of a correct shade. Put down to the minute. Was steady away on the move, covering the ground in a typical movement. Was a pleasure to award her the CC and very pleasing to find out she was sister to dog CC winner. 2ND 438 - House of Softy Indi Janeyjimjams (Imp Swe) (Mrs J Charleton) . this lady did not have the build of the winner, however impressed in many areas. I loved her overall balance and shape, which was put together on the move where she strode out well and was clean all ways. Excellent neck, clean front, tidy ribbing, clean topline and tailset. Good ribbing with depth and short coupled. Nicely angled throughout, with nothing overdone. In a good coat, which was well presented. Was a pleasure to award her the RCC and delighted to hear from the handler that under the new system, her 5th to go with her 2 CCs , so a new champion, congratulations and well deserved. 3RD 460 - Ch Silkcroft Fortune and Glory JW (Mr C W & Mrs C L Satherley) RES 469 - Brynhir Born to Boogie at Starzak JW (Mrs C A Tilley) VHC 465 - Ch Silkcroft Wildest Dreams JW (Mr C W & Mrs C L Satherley) Mark Walshaw - Janmark |
