Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers

I loved judging this breed at this level, I found what I was looking for easily.

PD (5)

1 Withington’s Fantasa Blonde Rufus, well this was a good start. What a smart, balanced 9 months chap in sparkling condition & perfect body for age. Has flat skull, equal length from backskull to stop to foreface, ending in a big black nose. Ears fold at level of skull. Length of neck smoothly fitting through lay of shoulder & return of upper arm. Balance of bone & leg length to body. Compact body, level topline. Good width of buttocks, strong low hock. Free easy gait working well with handler. BP;

2 Satherley & Johnstones’ Cameron Fighting Spirit for Silkcroft, so balanced & typy. Good head planes, big nose. Compact body with short developed loin. Well muscled for age. Well presented & went well; 3 Barrett’s Saffini Shining Star.

JD (2)

1 Johnson’s Garsayno Gold Kipling, pleased for size & balance, giving typical shape. Head has balance with flat skull, good stop, strong in muzzle & good bite. Shoulders have equal angles, so positive front action. Firm in well coupled body & good behind;

2 Brooks’ Loofahsa Yankee Doodle, not quite as balanced as winner. Lovely presentation. Low hocks. Could mess a touch on the move but saw enough to see he can get it together.

PGD (3)

1 Tilley’s Janeyjimjams Jubilee Star at Starzak, classic type in outline & good to go over. Masculine, clean head, has strength but not coarse. Has width of underjaw. Good legs & feet. Silky coat. Goes well; 2 Williams’ Flaxela Living Legend of Gwendonydd, stylish mover on the go round. Big nose from strong nasal passage. Head of decent proportions. Not just the drive behind of winner, but a decent sort;

3 Pascoe’s Calvenace My Sweet Lord for Middlebury.

LD (2)

2 lovely dogs.

1 Dunhill Hall’s Mother’s Finest Jon Snow at Fantasa, just out moved 2nd with his copybook extension & drive. No need to talk about construction as this is evident in movement. Loved him for size & balance. He emits type throughout. He was in super muscular development & has a glossy sheen on his soft silky coat. In the challenge he just went, covering the ground with ease, holding his shape. CC;

2 Blandford’s Janeyjimjams Joshua, classic quality Wheaten. Standing he portrays breed essentials. Has good footfall. Good for body & good texture to his well prepared coat. Super body & muscle.

OD (9,2a)

1 Howes’ Daisymaes Enforcer, 4 years mature masculine chap. Has proportioned head with good flat skull, clean cheeks. Elegance of neck, good rib, short firm loin. Compact & well bodied. Plenty after tail. In lovely silky coat. Shown to advantage & worked well with handler. Just not quite the reach of CC winner. But nitpicking as so much quality here. RCC;

2 Meister & Brooks’ Silkcroft Crests Of Waves, good proportions. Decent head. Clean strong neck with reach. Firm back. Good coupling. Excellent set-on. Plenty behind tail. Lovely condition & super coat. Used himself well on the move;

3 Curati’s Multi Ch Legally Blonde Wolverine.

PB (5,1)

1 Satherley, Meister & Brooks’ Silkcroft Some Magic Rose, rising 12 months. Smart, shapely girl. Very satisfying to go over as fit & well balanced. Lovely head, feminine but no weakness. Very pretty. Has quality bone, good feet. Level back, to good tail root & good bum. Super coat & condition. Lovely quality coat; 2 Williams’ Evesvale Rio Ria, 10 months. Composed & really showed her worth on the move. In grand body & muscle. Has lots of breed points. Presented in lovely coat of good texture;

3 Jones’ Saffini Suga Pie Honey Bunch.

JB (0).

PGB (5,2)

1 Satherley’s Silkcroft Auroras Encore, close decisions here, a good class. Just put that bit more in to the proceedings. She uses her correct angulation fore & aft to cover the ground with positive foot placement & economical action. Ultra feminine, yet has strength & power. Great presentation. Has lovely attitude & never lost her balanced, typical shape;

2 Holding’s Kirktonhill Cara Alainn, very pleasing head, correct skull, clean cheeks, super eye & good use of her v-shaped fine leather. Clean neckline. Lovely body, firm to strong tailset. Has width & strength to rump. Did her job collectedly. These could change places in the blink of an eye;

3 Johnstone’s Loofahsa Fiamma Rouxboos.

LB (8,1)

1 Barrett’s Saffini Sugar And Spice, classic, shape this one. So true to type with femininity & balance. A really lovely terrier all through. She is soundly made & therefore performed well. She secured her place in the final run off;

2 Howes’ Flaxela New Vision at Daisymaes, very worthy of her position in this good class. Has attitude & moved on well. The super presentation of her quality coat was the icing on the cake. Shown in super muscular condition. Handled to advantage;

3 Gale’s Flaxela Drop Dead Gorgeous.

OB (7,3)

1 Clarke’s Flaxela Weaver Of Dreams, strength coupled with femininity & could be no other breed. Presented immaculately & on sparkling form. Eyecatching topped by her gleaming full, immaculate coat. Underneath is a beautifully put together bitch with body & muscular definition. Gorgeous head & expression. She has the personality & confidence to take it up a notch. Never let up to take CC, BOB & 4th in the Group. Well done;

2 Williams’ Ch Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock, can’t believe this one is 9 years. That is not why she took the RCC. It was the fact that she fulfilled the brief perfectly. From his classic head, big white well placed teeth, through her clean, strong, elegant lines & her immaculate muscular condition. Then when she went round in the challenge, she stormed it. What a girl. RCC;

3 Busby’s Calvenace Minnie Ha-ha at Zakby.
